Thanks for the great tour around Keswick, lovely little town. I was brought up there, moved away many years ago. I have a brother and sister who still live and work there now.
Thanks (as usual) Paul for another informative and picturesque walk around Keswick. I’m glad The Wainwright decided to change the name… always thought “4 In Hand” was, let’s say, childishly amusing… Great to see Luchinis ice cream parlour still going, too. You should have got yer 99 from there, eh marrer! Threlkeld rail trail would be a good one to record sometime, although maybe not in that heat. Imagine your Scale Force walk in that weather…! Cheers Paul. Keep ‘em comin kid
Thanks Marra. 😉🤣 Yeah, should have gone to Luchinis. 🍦I think walking to Scale Force in that heat would have definitely finished me off, it wasn’t half hot! 🥵
We do love to wander around Keswick. For a large town it has a really good feel about it. The walk from the station sounds good. So is your superhero name Bandanaman😁 Enjoyed this wander with you. Thanks Paul
fab video, thanks for this! we will be in keswick tomorrow for the market but I dont think the weather's that good now. packhorse inn was my mum and dad's pub back in 1990.
Weather forecast has gone downhill unfortunately☔️ the market is great though. Great to have some family history there. I bet they had some good times in the pub. 😀👍🏻
@@ThatllDoVlog ah well you can't win em all. least the dog won't be too hot! yes my mum especially used to say that she could see us settling there and not moving again as we had done. it was a happy time, it was part of my teen years and I remember it really fondly, still feels like home!
Simply couldn't get enough of Keswick, despite the fact I've seen it a lot already! I reckon you to take the train from Windermere to Lancester, it's a lovely journey. I have many wonderful memories attached to it!
Enjoyed your visit to Keswick but methinks the reason for your surprise is because the main meetings (that most conventioners will have been in/getting ready for) are 9.30-10.30am, 11am -12.30pm and 7-8.45pm ish... hence quiet during your visit!
You should do the Keswick to Threlkeld path, I haven't done it for a few years now but its quite interesting. It takes you under that big A66 bridge on the outskirts of Keswick.
I’ve been meaning to do it for a while. It’s something I really must put more effort into doing as it looks like a great walk. Thanks for watching. 😀👍🏻
Hi Paul, love the channel, great to see a lot of the places where I spent my childhood! Question about one of your favourite subjects ;) What's the best app/s for car parking in the Lakes?
Thanks Tim I appreciate your comments😀👍🏻. I use www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/visiting/today for info on the car parks but I tend to find most use either RingGo, MiPermit or PayByPhone for payment. Watch out for some of the remote ones that only take cash! I’ve been caught out a few times, especially as they are expensive- I mean who carries £8 in change these days 🤣. The Lake District site I mentioned let’s you know what payment they take. 👍🏻

Thank you. It was a great day for a walk about. Wish we had more weather like that. 😀👍🏻
Thank you for a memorable trip around my old home town for over 40 years.
Thank you for watching Peter. 😀👍🏻

@@ThatllDoVlog great, thanks for the info really appreciate it😀. £8 in change is ludicrous, guess I will start saving change 🤣.
