Okay but what do you do when it's the actual micro SD that isn't in an adapter with a lock slider? I'm trying to take the right protection off from the micro SD itself ( not in an adapter with a slider just the micro SD itself )

it worked. I was just realising now. The problem is that when I put the SD card into the laptop, it is locked 🔐 so I decided to block it with a tape and it worked

If the SD card itself is actually write protected (not the slider on the adapter), there is little that you can do. There are many "fixes" on the internet. None of them work.

Hi BENGO-TECH You can also put a thin strip of clear tape over it which I did to format my SD card If it does not work sliding the pin down which I had issues dong that with mine. I cut a stripe of clear tape and covered it, Bamm!! I was able not only to format, but was able to add songs on there that was copy write protected.

My card is brand new and the protected is still there after I formatted the disc. Then I gave it a test and put a very short video on. It loaded fine, but when I put it in my camera, it still said protected. The format of the disk again, and it still protected. 🤬

Dunno is my case is the same as this but mine is that I downloaded videos on RUclips after a while it then stated that the download was unavailable, it's painful.
I believe the FILES are still on the mcard but the tab isn't able to find it.
I've tried everything but nothing has worked out
I got a Samsung 512 GB micro sd card and it came with an samsung sd adapter
I was still getting the write protected even if I tried formatting it
So I switch to a Sandisk sd adapter & it fixes my problem
