Heyyy new brow tech here but nervous to wax on a client 🥲 can you do a “everything brow wax” video? Preparation, sanitation, and just everything you SHOULD and SHOULDNT be doing during a brow wax..
If their skin is really dry you can definitely add it before yes, however you want the wax to adhere properly to the hair so you want it to be a clean surface without sweat, excessive oil, etc.
Hey, can’t help but notice all the Aveda products in the back. Did you go to school there? I graduated from an Aveda institute in June this year. How’d you go about buying from them?
Hi yes i graduated from Aveda and I purchased products during our student back bar week. Every semester my campus would give us the opportunity to buy professional and retail products for half off to start our product inventories
What is your common temperature that you use for your starpil wax pot? My consistency just loose on 75 so I just use my small one of my clients since thats what i started with i upgraded my wax pot and Im feeling regret lol
Omggg I LOVE my large starpil pot😫 depends on the wax mostly , read the bag of the wax you’re using to see what it says the optimal temperature is for that wax to have perfect consistency. If it doesn’t say on the bag look it up online where you purchased it from. Definitely a game changer!! Because I didn’t realize at first all wax performs at different temps. but what seems to be the common temp for me is about 60 so try it.
@@ShavonMichelle girl right its the starpil blue wax lol smh imma figure it out lowkey want to try the pink one Imma check the bag because im like what is this 😂😩
If they have an allergy id suggest using a different post wax without nuts. I ask about their allergies in my consultation forms for this very reason. 💕
Depends on the state you are in and moving to, you will have to check with your state board to see if your new state has reciprocity with your old state. 💕
When i had this table and cover i would keep the black fabric allday and cover it with disposable wax sheets for each client. Always spray the black fabric down with caviside and then wash weekly
I highly recommend buying directly from the brand for authenticity of the product and quality, however in a pinch its ok to buy certain waxes from Amazon. My favorite wax is ITALWAX White Chocolate www.italwax.com/product/film-wax-white-chocolate/

@@ShavonMichelle hi I have a question about that. I’m looking into becoming a lash tech & waxer too, which course do you think would benefit me better?
I went and got my esthetician license and am currently doing lashes (extensions, lifts) and sugaring waxing hair removal. If you decide to work at a place chances are you’ll do more training with the company; if solo you will most likely also do more training/certificates to enhance your skills. It should be noted that if you go solo you may not have anyone in close proximity to ask for help/ answer questions so getting a mentor will be important.
Hii a couple reasons but mainly because of health reasons. You want all your clients to feel comfortable with what products youre using on them and alot of them do not use powder because of the cancer connotation attached to powder. So its just been all around better from my experience to use something natural like corn starch.
Hi! I’m currently debating if I want to enroll in an esthetician program or cosmology program. The school I’m interested in told me I can do esthetician work with a cosmology license. I ultimately want to do nails and skin so I was going to do two programs (nail tech and esthetician). Can I have some insight please? Did you complete an esthetician program only? If so, did they teach you everything that you offer in your salon, or did you have to take additional courses to become certified? I’m worried that with a cosmology program I won’t leave with the same knowledge and understanding as I would if I enroll in the esthetician program. They said cosmology license holds more weight, is that true?
Ok hiii hope all is well firstly!! Secondly, I’d say that if you just want to focus on skin and nails then definitely go for your esthetician license and then go back for your nail tech certifications. Cosmetology license however does kinda cover it all but they will not really focus on anything but the hair/ makeup specifically in most places. Cos. Programs really don’t focus on the skin much at allll And yes I only completed an esthetician program and they do teach you the basics of what you need to pass stateboard and to start an entry level esthetic job. However to become thorough and well versed with services enough to start your own business outside training is highly recommended. (This is great for CE credits too)
