@Skidubz U don't get it... If u want to sell it, then some buyers prefer to buy unopened device. I am a retro collector and I prefer to buy consoles which warranty seal. If it is opened and with no warranty seal u can expect bad things and short working.
You can use it on pc, just cut the cable and connect the 4 wire to a USB cable and go to github and search for xb2input for the driver I even added a pair of triggers(soldering some switches to the black and white buttons on the front and added them in the place I wanted on the back works just fine for all games.
I used one of these on pc with a program called joy2key and a usb adapter cable. Nice work with the triggers on yours. I cut out the top card slot on my controller and added a 9pin socket for atari 2600 joysticks in its place.
I know this is a little nick-pick but why wouldn't you clean the rumble motors? It doesn't affect performance but it is still good to clean the rest of the controller to try and bring it back to as sealed as someone can.

use contact cleaner istead of ipa, its way better because it has deoxid in it.
