Underrated comment...
Its really sad . He should have won one more championship
Danke Sebastian! ❤
Very sad:( Love you seb
It’s been a incredible Carer from seb he was a great driver

Fernando extending his contract gave me flashbacks to this 😭
It was so weird
😭 It's really hard to believe Seb is really leaving.. his career was incredible. You don't accidentally become a world champion 4 times consecutively. He is the reason I started watching F1 back in 2018. Since Day 1, he's been my favourite F1 driver, and always will be. Danke Sebastian! You're forever my goat! 🐐
Same words
Since 2018 Australia
Same but since 2017 Australia
Same words but since 2009
That's very true: you don't accidentally become a world champion 4 times consecutively. You need a proper machinery xd
Back in the good old days.... in 2018!!!
We have lost not only a driver, but a role model, sign mover, inspector, marshal, formula 1 Wikipedia and a Olympic cyclist (and a scooterboy). Not everyday you lose so much by losing one person. Wish you all well Seb!
And his own engineer, he explains crashes to his engineer better than him, but saying “we are checking” is pretty easy to do
and a finger
a year later it still hurts like a stab... Miss u seb
What a graceful and inspiring farewell message. Well done Seb, there is still a race to win!
This really hurts. I've been a Sebastian Vettel fan since I was 8 years old... I'm now 21. Whenever I was going through dark times in life as I grew up, Seb's beautiful smile and wholesome attitude never failed to put a smile on my face. He's one of the most gifted drivers I've ever seen, and he will definitely be missed on the paddock. Thank you, Sebastian.
me too man!
me too,i was a Seb fan in early 2010s
Me too. I've been a fan since I was 3, I used to watch F1 with my dad.
It kinda hurts to see him leave, but it is the right decision.
I hope he stays and acts as a mentor for mick in the future!
cant stop crying
"The marks I left on track will stay until time and rain will wash them away" gave me shivers, can't believe he's leaving, but I wish him the best of luck in the future
Indian GP still has Sebastian Vettel marks ❤️❤️❤️❤️👌
I joined F1 fan base when Vettel joined RedBull. I've watched every race in F1 since then. So much class he carries everywhere. Such a good heart. If you want to make the world a better place, Be more like Seb!
If there is one thing I will always remember about you Seb, is your sense of humor. You were part of the most memorable pressers I've ever seen. Thank you Seb❤
he is one of the reasons that made me go back to watching f1, what a legend 💚
He’s the reason I began watching F1. End of an era, I feel like I’m getting old now 🥺
Lol don’t worry, other people started much earlier than you, you are still young

I began watching F1 when David Coulthard, Mika Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher were racing each other so if you feel old then how old do you think I feel? lol :-)
@@aspiknf haha yes I watched with them too, but I didn’t really get properly into it until Seb joined. So yeah I feel old as well don’t worry :)
@@wheland44 haha I know right, all my childhood drivers have retired now, but Seb is my favourite 😂
I really hope people will remember his career, not by the last years, but his victory in Monza in a midfield car, and by those 4 years, where on numerous occasions, we could see what perfection in racing is like. The car was absolutely great, and his driving was as close to perfection as one can get. Winning qualy, leading the whole race by a lot, and pumping in those fastest laps just because he could, like a machine. I will miss him a lot. My favourite driver, and will remain so. Good luck for the future.
A great person and a great driver, we all love you Seb. You will be missed🙏🏾❤️

One of the most successful, cheering characters and has had a phenomenal career. I watched Formula One as a kid up until now all because of one driver... Sebastian Vettel. Ever since he has won 4 World Titles, many victories and podiums I can say he will be forever my favourite and will always be. Thank you for everything Sebastian! Your legacy never dies! ❤🏆
That was very moving, and a great retirement speech. Thanks Sebastian. You will be missed in F1.
Seb is the most clever and gentle driver I've ever seen.
Please take care and I hope your next road is going well!

A legend. Forever to be known as one of the best the sport has ever known. What a truly good human Sebastian is. Truly. And I'm a Hamilton fan, so yeah. Best of wishes for more happiness, time with family, new adventures, breaking new boundaries! We're going to miss your presence, champ!
Hamilton and Vettel were two of the most gracious rivals, and honestly, was such a privilege watching them. I'm a Lewis fan too, but I actually wanted Seb to win a championship with Ferrari
Here it is a real man of planet earth.
Truly a representation of how a real gentleman acts and looks like. I grow up watching Sebastian race and I am very happy for him to continue his personal goals and dedicate himself to his true passion (kids and wife, planets and people and most important to true happiness within).
Thank you Sebastian for everything you have shown to the sports and to this human race.
It doesn’t matter what you drove or what you drive now, winning races to wanting to win, you shaped the sport to what it is today and we can’t thank you enough. Your a true role model not only to kids coming into motorsport but to all of humanity. You will be missed and I’m sure this was a decision that wasn’t easy for you to make but you have to do what’s best for yourself and your family. I’m upset that I never got to see you race in person or ever had the chance to meet you but you certainly left a great impression on me and for that all I can say is thank you and thanks for the memories. Best of luck for the remainder of 2022 and beyond.

More than just a racing driver. Truly an inspiration. I'm going to miss seeing him so much on track.
I never thought someone’s retirement would actually make me sad, but I genuinely welled up. You are a great Sebastian! Thank you for everything you have given us.
Thank you for an incredible 16 years, you'll always be one of the greatests of all time both on and off the track. All the best in life Seb, wherever you go 💚

I saw Seb 12 feet away at spa 2019 , he was on his scooter waiting for the bridge traffic light. I was so star struck i couldn't say a word.
You are an inspiration to me, I've been following you ever since 2012. Thank you.
Wishing you a Happy retirement Seb
You've given some of the greatest Memories
Not only as a racing driver but also as person
You've achieved feats we all will remember for the time to come
You've given us moments we will treasure not only as your fans but also as lovers of this sport
You've made us laugh throughout your career
You've given some of us the childhood we will always remember
You're an inspiration to not only the upcoming drivers but also to us fans to become a better person and see the world in a optimistic way
Wishing you happy retirement ❤️
Well said is just an understatement for this. Thank you for posting this beautiful comment about a stunning human being ❤️
Thank you Seb. I had a feeling this season would be the one where you called it quits, but now that it's actually happening it saddens me. You reminded me why I love F1. You provided me and hopefully everyone else watching F1 with moments of happiness, laughter and sadness that will ONLY ever carry a good memory. We love you Seb. We wish you a fantastic end to the season and the best of luck for your life going forwards.
Beautifully said!
Fr, kinda expecting this would happen but I'm still not ready
Thank you! From the teenager I met as a test driver with plenty of dreams, to the driver, husband, father, four-time world F1 champion & all-round good man I know today- You’ve been a pleasure to watch, you’ve been a pleasure to know & we’ve enjoyed watching you grow. You’ve done everything with Grace, dignity, meaning & a whole hell of heart! I hope you enjoy your retirement & whatever challenges face in life & what you choose as your next challenge in the future, I hope you do it with your family around you, surrounded by love, safely & make it be something enjoyable & meaningful- but I know that’s what you’ll do anyway! You don’t do things half bothered or without passion. I know whatever you do in life, all your fans will always be with you too. Please remember to at least drop by a Formula One race or give us a little update from time to time, it would be great to hear from you! You’ve worked hard, entertained us so much & left us with things to think about & act upon. A true champion in every way. Thank you. Happy retirement Sebastian & to the whole Vettel family, enjoy your future.

Danke Seb 💚
I honestly was expecting this. Great driver, great person who earned his rest.

Seb, it's been an honor and privilege to see you on Track. You're one of the good ones. I hope whatever the Future holds for you will be even more fulfilling than what you did in F1, it won't be an easy task but I know you can make it that way. Keep on fighting the good fights, and keep loving the people close to you as much as you can. I'll be a little sad to see you go, but it'll be also really exciting to watch where you pop up next. All the best from me, you certainly deserve everything good coming your way!
Seb is grown up that much, in many different ways, over the years... Thanks for this what you are, a great person and an inspiring idol for many of the F1 community... All the best Seb ❤️
Actually brought me to tears. Probably the best retirement announcement I've ever heard
its 2 years now but it still hurts💔
I really got emotional to his msg. Loved the way he described the entire journey. I am a big Alonso fan and I know how these 2 guys fought for championships fair and square. Seb will be missed badly in the sport..
That was absolutely the best thing I’ve Seen from Formula 1 or any particular team in a very long time. My respect for him just grew tenfold and although I’ve never rooted for him on track, I’m definitely rooting for him and this next chapter of his life. Go Seb Go!
What a powerful message, Mr. Vettel. Thank you for all the entertainment you provided me and many others throughout these years. You are a example to be followed.
I salute you from Brazil!
It's a pity that a player I've loved since I was little has retired. Sebastian Vettel, thank you for your passion for motorsport. You are my eternal hero.
In my opinion, Seb is the best driver ever existed in F1. He won't be on the track but he will always be in our hearts as a legend and most importantly as a man who never gives up.
What a thoughtful and powerful retirement message!
What a legend of sport, all sports!
All the best Sebastian ♥️
Absolutely beautiful, Sebastian is the hero from when I started watching F1 in 2010 and has amazed me every year, whether it's dominating qualifying finding that extra pace where nobody else can, or being the only one to step in humbly and help tidy up rubbish after the race. Sebastian is a legend and a true champion and in my eyes the greatest human being to step inside a formula one car.
Seb has done many great acheivements throughout his career in F1. They always be remembered. Thank you for all these great memories, Seb.
Thank you SEB. You will be missed by millions. Wish you all the best for your future endeavors. You were great both on and off track. Immense Respect to you.
Thank you Seb, for everything❤️
To be honest, Seb was my Favourite Driver since 2008 and his first win in a Minardi DNA or Toro Rosso, after he grown into the Red Bull and shines like a god from 2009 to 2013! Really big thanks you Seb for all these years! Thanks for giving me Tears of joy and little bit of sadness! Danke Seb
Pain in the heart...
Feeling empty somewhere inside.
It is not a farewell speech but a motivational speech for all...
Today... And even for the future generations.
Thank you for all the racing years and the battles fought on track and all the things you brought to F1. Remarkable driver and a understandable choice after all those intense years.
Sebastian: back in the day when I was a lazy blob after quitting my studies, I saw you become the youngest world champion. That really got me. That made an impact, seeing myself as a failure, not studying, not working, while you, more or less my age, were winning championships. That got me and made me go back to the engineering school and promised to myself not to be lazy ever again when it was a matter of studies or something I was good at. I finished my engineering with the top score against all careers in my generation. Schumacher will always be the best but you will always be my best when it comes to F1, and a very personal hero. Thank you.
Beautiful statement, Seb. It’s been a privilege to watch you all these years. Wishing you all the best in what comes next.
I love you so 2008 Monza, 2019 after Canada GP changing flags, 2013 multi 21, 2012 brazil, 2010 Turkey,2015 Maleysia, 2013 India, 2018 Germany, 2010 Abu Dhabi, 2022 Azerbaijan they said Vettel İs The GOAT and so many memory ...
Even if you go one day, the memory remains...
Danke Seb for everything...

You’re amazing, Seb. Your humility and genuineness is what always attracted me to you. You have been an excellent role model for my 2 boys and others kids around the world. Now go relax and enjoy your family, you deserve it.
Seb thank you for all memories you gave me and others. Watching F1 will never be the same.
Your right, it will never be the same.
Why not? He's barely been on the TV screen since 2019. Long overdue. He's washed-up.
@@fiarandompenaltygeneratorm5044 bruh it’s not watching him on tv the only thing about him. Grojean going into a wall of flames was definitely more painful... This was expected
I hereby announce my retirement from Formula One by the end of the 2022 season. Probably I should start with a long list of people to thank now, but I feel it is more important to explain the reasons behind my decision.
I love this sport, it has been central to my life since I can remember. But as much as there is life on track, there is my life off track too. Being a racing driver has never been my sole identity. I very much believe in identity by who we are, and how we treat others rather than what we do.
Who am I?
I'm Sebastian, father of three children and husband to a wonderful woman. I am curious and easily fascinated by passionate or skilled people. I am obsessed with perfection. I am tolerant and feel we all have the same rights to live, no matter what we look like, where we come from and who we love. I love being outside and love nature and it's wonders. I am stubborn and impatient. I can be really annoying. I like to make people laugh. I like chocolate and the smell of fresh bread. My favourite colour is blue. I believe in change and progress, and that every little bit makes a difference. I am an optimist and I believe people are good.
Next to racing, I have grown a family and I love being around them, I have grown other interests outside Formula One. My passion for racing and Formula One comes with lots of time spent away from them and takes a lot of energy. Committing to my passion the way I did and the way I think it is right, does no longer go side by side with my wish to be a great father and husband. The energy it takes to become one with the car and the team, to chase perfection takes focus and commitment.
My goals has shifted from winning races and fighting for championships to see my children grow, passing on my values, helping them up when they fall, listening to them what they need me, not having to say goodbye, and most importantly, being able to learn from them and let them inspire me.
Children are our future. Further I feel it is so much to explore and learn. About life and about myself. Speaking of the future, I feel we live in very decisive times. And how we all shape these next years will determine our lives. My passion come with certain aspects that I have learned to dislike. They might be solved in the future but the will to apply that change has to grow much much stronger and has to be leading to action today. Talk is not enough, and we can not afford to wait. There is no alternative. The race is underway.
My best race? Still to come. I believe in moving forwards and moving on. Time is a one way street and I want to go with the times. Looking back is only going to slow you down. I look forward to race down unknown tracks and I will be finding new challenges. The marks I left on track will stay until time and rain will wash them away.
New ones will be put down. Tomorrow belongs to those shaping today. The next corner is in good hands as the new generation has already turned in. I believe THERE IS STILL A RACE TO WIN. Farewell and thanks for letting me share the track with you. I loved every bit of it.
- Sebastian Vettel

i've always been a HUGE lw44 fan & i confess that i was neutral to seb
however, i do need to confess that i've been feeling lately that ALL that Lewis's got are titles. the ppl that were with him at the start of his career are not there anymore: his dad, his brother, his gf & even dennis (who gave him a HUGE opportunity at mclaren)
i do know i have nothing to do with anyone's life, but i DO learn a lot from their mistakes and right decisions too.
at the end of the day, seb's got 4 championships, is a talented driver that everyone respects and admires, lived the good life when he was a champ and now he's gonna enjoy his wife and kids
i've admired and will always admire lewis, but he's been getting so much hate lately that i don't think is worth it. ALSO, f1 has changed SO MUCH in that last 10 years that i don't even follow it anymore.
well, that's just me thinking out loud. i wish seb all the best ❤ and lewis too
