Great content here if you're not already watching it's well worth it.
@@WVCUR77 EAT HIM‼️‼️‼️
Which island were fish by I fish the islands and pilot and never catch drum as big
Hi I'm trying to comment on your video but it won't let me
I loved your videos catch and released and keep only ones you want to take home.🐟🎣👍🏼
Big Nasty took you for a sleigh ride! That sheepshead was a slob! Thanks for the ride along! Tight lines.
Beautiful black drum!! Keep those bridge monsters coming!! Thanks for sharing the day with us!!
Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel?
Another bucket list spot. Thanks, Elias. Looks like you had a good day!!
You are amazingly consistent at turning up good fish, where ever you are. Thumbs up! I'm surprised at how small a bait you use some times. I would put on that whole blue crab for a big drum.
Outstanding bridge fishing video! Some people think it's easy fishing around bridges, current and multiple barnacle covered pilings, it's NOT! Great job!
It’s dope when Elias is in your home town killing it
Is that the CBBT?
@@kirkshiloh2843 yessir
Thought so, thanks
Stay salty I just subbed up 👍🏼
Definitely!
Loved it, nothing better than an kayak towing bridge monster video. The first Elias video I watched a couple years ago was a bridge monster video like this, I'm not positive but it looks like the same bridge. I also would love to see Meg do one of these, her reactions to being towed everywhere could be priceless 😂
When he says @8:20 “he’s a real old one, try to take the best care of em” and then plunges it in the water 🤣🤣 “sometimes a plunge is better than a swishy swishy” 🤣🤣🤣 that should go on a shirt. Great catch and good quality content 🙌🏾🤙🏾
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dude, You picking the Big Drum up on the Kayak is Awesome.. Shows the Size of the Huge Fish.. Great Catch !!
Nice Drum! We head into the Delaware Bay for the Drum run every year right before fluke season opens in Jersey. Got five this year. Good eating!
Great fish, dude! I'm not digging our "two week blitz" for flounder either......
That was a MONSTER drum ... OUTSTANDING. Good looking convict fish too.
U R 1 heck of a fisherman! Luv your content bro.
Great vid!
And the colab. with #OneFishTwoFish Awesome!!!🎣🙌🏼🎣👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You wanna find flounder hit the eastern shore side around the concrete ships monster door mats over there and cobia have been great so far this year I've caught 6 50+" and 1 over 60" all near blue fish rock and ocean view Area
@Craven Sumgood it was :)
@Craven Sumgood That was random
@Craven Sumgood You good? Seems like you have some pent up anger that Trump was a good president & deep-down knowing that those vote counts/times recorded don’t lie…..just remember, you all were crying the rigged election note back when Trump was elected, when he rightfully won & will again in 2024 😉
The Black Drum was a brute. Well done.
This got me hooked haven’t been fishing in about 2 years now this video makes me want to get back out there and hit the water!
@@darnellmunerlyn7617 I hope you eventually get to go out and fish brother. I’m gonna go out and hit the water today. Gotta always try to make time for the things that one enjoys no matter what stay up!
Huge fish, Omg that was a beast, sheeps in between, very nice
that looks like so much fun ..great tackle size choice
Good day cathin' BTW I agree with the "New Butterfinger" not being the same. I'm glad someone else said it too. LOL
Awesome video with a great choice of reel. I love the Penn spinfishers
Down here in SC, the regs just changed for flounder. Went from 15" min. 10 per person per day / 20 flounder boat limit to 16" min. 5 per person per day / 10 flounder boat limit. We are feeling the impact of fewer flounder here, too. They just aren't as big or as many as seasons past.
That drum put up a good fight . Enjoyed the watching
OMG! When you were pulling in that monster, I was thinking, what if that fish jumps in the kayak and knocks you out into the water? So much respect for how you handled that fish and made sure he was in good shape! You definitely earned a new subscriber and a LIKE!
Thats a float , not a kayak , kayaks have holes you sit in. Ask a eskimo.
I love pulling my boat out at the ramp and seeing the Ranger standing there asking to see inside the ice box! Haha. I dropped off the fish at a different spot. Hehe
Elias, Show us the bridge monsters. "Crush Them"
Prayers sent for Meg,Elias.
God bless
WOW Thats a HUGE one!
God bless
Great video nice fish😁 I'm yet to catch one from kayak.
Big black drum always take a while to get going. They’re beasts for sure and a blast to catch
Use a white bucktail 2oz or bigger with a strip of croaker meat or spot or bluefish keep it looking neat, strips of meat not a chunk. Jig it around the pilings on the bottom. Avoid sheep areas. Just my two cents from fishing the cbbt for flounder
you said flounder and i remembered a special fishing trip with my grandfather in miami florida in the 80's. short story- I was 10 years old and spotted a big flounder off a water way sitting below in 3 feet of water and my grandpa said that's good eating so I hit the fish with all my might with a big rock. our family had a great dinner that night and a story that last to this day.
Nice! Blackies are great fun to catch! Used to hook up some nice ones down in Jacksonville on the San Pablo river.
Your vid was almost my kayak experience with a 42 inch black drum. Except mine was at 00:15 in the morning. Try night fishing for an added thrill. There is nothing like being towed around in a kayak, by a big fish on a moonless night. And..., I really enjoyed your vid.
Love the fiddler crab dispenser! 🤣
I dig those Slammers for handling big fish on smaller set ups. Expensive but an awesome reel for big drum.
Heading down to the cbbt tonight! Hopefully we’ll find some flounder!
Nice! A charter captain out of Cape Charles (just a little north of where you were) told me that a black drums weight is also it's age...
Huhhhhhhhh
You telling me drum get to 40+?!?!?
@@timberwolfe338 Actually, black drum can reach 60 years of age! Wild!
@@jasonstern6499 what the heckkk.
I knew they got old, but 60 is willldd
Great video. Great fish. The older I get the more I just want to leave them all alone. Thanks for taking care of that big beautiful fish.
Was a 50 lber I'm always envious of the nice sheeps you get up there.
Lots of fish regs from state to state are confusing. I’ve been a big proponent of slots for a number of species. Protects the young and breeders but still gives the anglers an opportunity for keepers.
That fish was a straight POWER HOUSE!
Always on some sort of fun adventure. Thats why im a subscriber
New Subscriber from South Texas, that was an awesome catch, nice video tight lines my friend 🤙
When I hear Chesapeake, I think of striped bass. Now I think of Bridge Monstahs.
Sheepshead is one of my all time favorite fish to eat. What an awesome fish! I need to get one of these boats, usually just catch them off the dock with frozen shrimp. Fantastic video
Hell naw!!! to each its own...
fried sheepshead nugget fish tacos my man 🤤
Wow!! Great fish!
Lovely fish mate well done
That was a beautiful sheepshead!
I bet it really is fun to catch those big drums in a yak. They are a unrated fish. We have some true monsters where I live.
From what i understand. Is our (NC) flounder season is like this bc we are the only state that allows gill nets for commercial fishing.😔😔
I’ve seen them in the Chesapeake Bay as well but that was a few years ago
Also commercial shrimp nets are allowed in the Pamlico sound, which is the largest estuary on the east coast. Those nets kill everything in their path, especially in the estuaries where the juvenille fish can't swim fast enough to avoid the net. When I was young I pulled a recreational shrimp net with my uncle and the dead and dying bycatch we pulled up was disturbing. I respect the fact that these guys have to make a living, but shrimp can be caught offshore where the bycatch is more reasonable.
It made a huge difference fast when the damned things were (almost completely) banned in Texas. People can holler “Freedom!” all they want, but certain regulations are a matter of good conservation sense.
@@danl.909 Only an idiot would believe true freedom would ever actually work lol. Most regulations and government oversight i'm against but when it comes to conserving our fisheries we should be reasonable.
@@SaltySeaCaptain
“….true freedom…” Lots of definitions of that term. Freedom for your neighbors to do absolutely anything they damned well please? At whatever time and place? Like have a hip hop dance party in their back yard at midnight on a work night? Or set rank upon rank of gill nets in critical fish passes? We have conservation regulations because we cannot depend on all people to be reasonable when it comes to using our natural resources.
Gill betters screamed bloody murder when their destructive equipment was banned. “Freedom!” they hollered, “You’re taking our freedom!” Well, yeah. You were killing everybody’s fish, so we had to take some of your “freedom.” Whose fault was that, really?
Damn right brother!!! Well done!
Back on the drum! gotta invite Sea money and Tenzin down !
When that Drum came to the surface my jaw just opened up and flies flew in! What an absolute monster. Pulling something like that on your lap is not for the novice kayak fisherman.
My hometown. Check out the Lesner bridge next time your up here. I do alot of my fishing there and it can be loaded.
Wow awesome catch 👍🏾
Excellent stuff bro
Sweet vid Elias..🤙🏼🤙🏼..
Wonderful catch bro bridge monster good luck
Nice catch 👍
Nothing like the crab rag 😆
I really want to travel north and fish that bridge some time. Always love watching the videos you and Jeff do out there. And I have to agree, the new butterfinger is no where near as good as the old one.
All the way from Newport news VA to Chesapeake bay Norfolk VA I live here and you'll be surprise especially around James town and VA beach as well
Holy Moly Elias ... That first fish was a baby whale 🐟
Virginia Beach glad to have you here
The drum sound echoes off the boat hull awesome video
The north end of the bridge is better for flounder
What bridge is this ? Bridge tunnel ?
That's a huge drum! 👍
Always quality stuff! What’s up from the ol’Raritan Bay!
Wish we had regular drum in the raritan
superbe video que du plaisir à regarder bravo
Amazing
Thank you !👏
💓👍
That’s all I fish for is big black drum & we cut the blue crabs in half , they been biting pretty good here lately.
I was listening to this video in my car through the speakers. You can hear him thumpin away as your trying to revive him. Beast
Nice catch
You used to hook into black drum like that and sheep head at Sebastian inlet, back in the day. But now it's so overpopulated and so overfished you don't catch crap out there.
What about jewfish?
I look from Romania , tks for all video :)
Love your channel bro 😎
That’s a great day of fishing 👍
awesome. thx for sharing
Good stuff man!
They love those crab!
Love it!!
I also go fishing. but watching you fish is great . i like
Tank drum,Hello.Great Catch.
Hello from Hampton Roads VA!! Cool video!
During that first fish it sounded like you were making love with the fish while you were fighting it. LOVE IT
WTF? Lol
Omg too far. Lol
Strange comment.....
Ah yes “I think I’m out of the danger zone”
It drums and does he say gosh...or does he say ...hush... 😂
I'm going to start spending time in tampa area like tarpon springs can't wait to get a small boat like you have
The "uh oh" had me laughing 🤣
Man what a monster!!!! Nicely done sir 🤙🏻
Hells YESSSSSSSSSS! Nice Drum!
Well now "that" is a Drum. Sweet.. Glad he recovered so well. Big old fish. Nice to know he's still down there.
I grew up on the Chesapeake bay & caught one a little bigger than this one when I was about 8 years old…..back when the striper fishing at the second tunnel “third island” was unreal. I was pitching wind cheaters into the rocks & hooked into an absolute monster black that took forever to raise him. I know you say that bridge is hard fishing and it is now….but 20+ years ago was a completely different story. I caught some monster stripers off those rocks.
New camera equipment? Video looks great! Back at the Bay Bridge, lots of grunting and groaning.
The fact that fish had stripes still amazes me
Awesome job
I always, enjoy day chartering my inshore fishing trips. Cape Fear River area
Watching you fight him I miss it my truck been down waiting on parts. Great job fighting him!!
Nice fishing sir. ..i like youre fishing rod.
You killed it
Elias: ah but be do be very careful with these fish also Elias: yeet and it ends up floating
What a monster !
You have to vent the air just below pectoral fin. (not in the Stomach) that's why that big Drum was floating. If they aren't vented, most times they will float and cant swim back down and will die.
Please look up on how to vent these fish.
I was thinking the same thing. If the water is over 28 feet deep that fish’s swim bladder was completely inflated. Sometimes the fish still die, but it gives them a much greater chance of survival if fizzed.
