I swear there’s a scene in another one of the Santa paws movies where the dog is transformed into a toy and then slowly sent into the incinerator. That scene traumatised me as a child
That's from the prequel movie The Search For Santa Paws which follows Santa Paws when he was a puppy. I used to love both of these movies as a kid and they also made me cry. Definitely aren't as good as I remember them, but still a guilty pleasure 😅
I enjoy that film as well, even if the writing isn't perfect. I think it's actually impressive how many things connect in the film with the budget it had.
Same. I remember absolutely squeeing over the space buddies movie as a teenager while my dad was just shaking his head. I get it now xD I also had the snow buddies movie as a tv vhs recording that I watched all the time.
I just wanna say that ive been watching you since i was 10 where i encountered your hacking videos and ever since i fell in love with the content and having graduated this year and watching you become a father shows how long it has been that you have been putting smiles on all of our faces ❤
Jeez, Santa Buddies… That movie also had a sequel/spinoff with Santa Paws where Santa gets amnesia. Ironically, I don’t remember much about the movie beyond that. I suppose it would be something to consider with the next Holiday edition of Goodwill Movies.
Something about the first movie reminded me of Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids. That movie (there was a show, too, based on books) had a few cursed designs, but they're purposeful, and the writing was nice. I'd recommend it. Also, the special features of the DVD had a game where you decorate eggs, and that was fun for baby me.
Oh my god. I used to watch Hermie all the time (I understood none of the religious overtones though). Crazy to see it again. RIP Luka. 14 years is a long, lovely life!
LOL! When I was in second grade, our religion teacher showed us Hermie & Friends. I remember being so confused about god talking to these bugs. I had no idea what the name was and hadn't seen anything about the show again until now!

Hey now, as probably one of a handful of kids that grew up with Hermie, my nostalgia will cancel out any valid criticisms. Thank you and have a merry Christmas. Fun fact: Wormie is voiced by Don Knotts. You know, Barnie Fife.
Rest In Peace, Luka. You were basically a mascot to the channel. You'll be missed more than you could ever know. My heart goes out to you, Peebs. Still, here's to hoping you and your family have a VERY Merry Christmas.
It is seriously so rare to watch someone for years and still have the same humour as them. Laughed out loud at so many segments and I've been watching since around 2012! Hope you're doing awesome and my condolences about Luka 💔
Me and my brothers grew up with Hermie and Friends, but we never saw the Christmas episode, so that was fun to see! It really brought me back, but I also forgot just how ugly the animation looked. 😂
I may be two days late, but watching the videos you made on bad Christmas movies has become one of my favorite Christmas traditions. My family now watches and quotes from "A Pine Tree" because of that video you made a few years ago, my friend and I continuously quote "Be Normal" from the Homeless For The Holidays" movie you covered, and my friend hates me for showing him "Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa" and quoting from that to him. It's so amazing that you upload one of these kinds of videos this time of year. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I hope your family is doing well this Christmas and I hope you are too. Merry Christmas!
HERMIE THE WORM OMG you just opened up a core memory hhhh... I genuinely looked at your thumbnail, got blasted by distant foggy memories, and just screeched "H E R M I E ? ?" at the top of my lungs. lovely moment thank you PBG...

Year round we quote your coverage of "The Christmas Tree" with classics such as "Here goes all the children's money again" and "She's good now." Thanks unironically for helping make priceless Christmas memories.
A lot of times I have YT videos on as background noise when I do things. But the moment I say that memorial at the end, despite being in a room BY MYSELF, I said out loud “Aww, no!” as if that pup was my own. I am so sorry for your loss, truly. It is a grief I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
The Christmas movie that takes place in hot southern California reminded me of when I worked on the movie Surviving Christmas as an extra. We filmed it in southern California in the summer even though it was supposed to be Chicago in the winter. So that was fun, wearing heavy winter clothing in the heat. At least it was better than being in swimwear during summer scenes that filmed in the winter in other things I worked on.
I remember someone got my family the Santa Buddies movie for Christmas and we all simultaneously groaned and turned the movie off when the dog started singing
8:37 Good fruitcake, not storemade, historically accurate fruitcake, apparently lasts like 100s of years and only gets better with age. Go to a real bakery or ask for someones like family recipe lol. make it a second channel video to make fruitcake. "I only ate fruitcake for a week"
My grandmother has a wonderful fruitcake recipe that changed my mind about fruitcake entirely and made me realize its reputation comes entirely from prepackaged store-bought ones.
Fruit cake is nice if done right. Best with royal icing on marzipan. Its very soft and moist. It has glace fruit and raisins in, and brandy. Get a proper one and you might like it.
The fruit cake is a food said to have come from the days of adam and eve. God created a big slab of fruit cake for the two, but it was so nasty they passed it on to cain. Cain gave it to abel, and abel died. Due to Cain being disowned, the inheritance passed on to Seth. Seth didn't want to join Abel so he smashed it to pieces it and gave it to his children, and those children gave it to their children, and then their children's children, and so on. The law of conservation of matter states that fruit cake is never truly eaten, just passed on.
The deathgrip A Fruitcake Christmas had on me as a kid was absolutely crazy! For some reason I just loved the entire Hermie and Friends franchise as a child, probably because I had a crush on Lucy the Ladybug and Milo the Praying Mantis...Twas a weird biromantic awakening! Mom encouraged it because they had a bunch of scripture memory song CDs that she would play on repeat every single day and night (because Bible knowledge was important), but I don't think she knew that I liked the franchise for other reasons lol! I guess I contributed to the weird homeschooler stereotype through this lol! Also, the reason why Wormie only says "Fruitcake" is because his voice actor (Don Knotts, the green thing named Hermie is voiced by Tim Conway, the same actors as the two bandits from The Apple Dumpling Gang), died during the making of this movie and the only voiceline they had was of him saying "fruitcake"? in the other series he actually talks a lot
Christopher Lloyd, George Went, Corbin Bernsen, Stacy Keach, and Shelly Long? I think the REAL miracle of Christmas is giving old B list celebrities (sorry Lloyd) a chance at making some Christmas trash.....I mean cash.😉
Man, I haven't watched your videos since I was like 12, but it makes me so happy to see you're still making them the exact way I remember! This was such a fun trip down memory lane, it really put a smile on my face! :) Also I totally rented the Hermie movie from my church as a kid, and I'm 99% sure those bugs gave me nightmares xD
As a Christian who was raised on the Hermie franchise (yes, really, I had MOST of the episodes on DVD)...yeah, it was pretty bizarre (but it also hurt my heart to hear it criticized even though your critiques were perfectly valid haha)
peebs i just wanna say i LOVE your editing (and writing). it's exactly my kind of humor and it's so so well done. the "surely it has nothing to do with THE FAST LEVER!!" bit actually made me laugh out loud, as well as the wii sports bowling "you died" thing. your editing is like a YTP but, like, for the whole video. it's a really unique editing style for long form content, and you do it so well!!

Why does The Santa Trap have a really strong cast? Sure Shelley Long looks like she's phoning it in but she was pretty big in the 90s, and Corbin Bernsen is pretty big too
I know someone that worked on one of the buddies movies not sure which but it had a snowy setting, anyways they used puppies that were too young and it was too cold so they kept dying. So many dead puppies. Merry Christmas everyone!
