I used to work in Ortigas. And sure I knew the surrounding areas. But now watching your video I cant recognize Mandaluyong anymore except Megamall. I hope my homeland will continue growing and I like to see more greens.
Megamall is old but in July the renovation will start. SM hired a world class company to do the renovation which happen to have built the Jewel in Singapore airport 😊
I think my place is underrated. I live in Ortigas BCD and is very walkable. They even close the streets on the weekend for a weekend market . But the best thing I love about the place is it's in the center of Metro Manila. I have everything I needed in Ortigas but if I want to go to BGC Makati or Quezon City it's very close
More of this please. I’m a Fil-AM that’s been away for so long. Though I’ve made quick visits a few times it’s only now that I’m seriously contemplating on retiring permanently in the Phil.
Wow! P1.4k/night is a good take there. The room is neat at promising in aesthetics. Not bad. Good take. For me, I still love the ambiance of the community in Alabang. It is more quiet and far away from the busy highways of the metro.
I heard that SM Megamall will undergo a redevelopment soon that will add 20,000 square meters of leasable space and will provide shoppers with brighter, wider hallways, more open spaces & higher ceilings. Parking will also be upgraded with over 1,000 additional parking slots. The redevelopment will commence next month so you may wanna watch out for that and maybe show us the result when it's finally done. Tnx!
Thank you for showing condos outside of BGC. Glad to have met you, briefly, a couple of weeks ago in the lobby uptown park suites. Catch you next time.
Mergim thank you again for showing the Mandaluyong City’s Condos now me and my husband we have more idea to choose the more convenient for little of everything to shop for food and etc.thanks for sharing
What I don’t like about most condos here in Metro Manila is the very low ceiling. I’ve always complained about it in the past, like if office buildings can have high floor to ceiling height, why can’t condos and residential buildings have higher ceilings too? This is why a 45 floor office building can be higher than a 60 floor residential building, or both can have the same height.
There are taxi bays in between 2 buildings of SM megamall and also you can pin your grab there so you wont get soak in the rain. I know its hard to figure out the other entrances and exits if you are not a regular sm megamall goer. There is also shortcut if you are greenfield going to Megamall, just by passing through Shangrila Mall.
yes ive been saying this...Alabang is less expensive BGC/Makati and many rich and famous & filthy rich politicians l😮ves there and also has everything.
@@MarkEdisonAlviz-official I don’t know. But I want Mergim’s take on things. He is the one who I follow regularly so I hope he goes there at some point.
The lobby I grand because this building looks like it is mainly for investment apartments and therefore Airbnb residents, very short term tenants that come and go, so the lobby will get a lot of use at all times.
Pph 1.4k per night? times 30days is equal to Pph 42,000 and is discounted right? My friend just got back from there 6/2024 telling me you can rent a condo there for a couple hundred bucks not sure if it really exists in around manila coz he went to Pampanga oh yea he said in manila too but I’m guessing it was for a small studio with no view lol.
Thanks for pointing out we are actually one of the world's fastest growing economies. The problem we have is our media and elite say the worst things about our country for political reasons, so it scares foreigners away.

I am so bad with heights...just watching him standing there and the view panning around made my legs feel weak. Great video though!
Nice bro
I used to work there.. pretty nice nightlife
If you live in Greenfields , Ortigas Center choose the condo that is facing the whiteplains area not Makati it has a nice view

Wow Philippines is so rich...very modern.. impressive... Manila has overtaken Dubai in properties sales according to the news.
The Philippines is not really a poor country. The main problem is mismanaged politics and the economy.

yes but cleaner, greener, pet friendlier, safer.

Yes...Building A under renovation now
Megamall is close to greenfield. You just have to cross shaw boulevard, then pass through shangri la plaza.
yes, SM pretty much dominates EDSA with a mall at virtually every MRT station. Just like Ayala dominates Makati

Mandaluyong city from 20 years ago looks so different today. Simple times…
That condo where Mergim was staying used to be along the area of the wet market and transport terminals to East . A.k.a Crossings
Stay safe and God Bless ! ❤
Absolutely love this region and what it could be. Glad i just found your channel, so many insights into urban PH.
Mandaluyong is in the middle of Metro Manila so you are in the center of everything on the metro that is why it is also nice to live there
mrt too
its convenient if you work nearby... but all that highway noise is a no 😅
Imagine there is express train connecting BGC, Makati and Ortigas loop? Commute will be quicker and will ease EDSA traffic.
that unit is ok for a few days, but i would not be comfortable long term in less than 35SQM. On EDSA just take the MRT
hi mergim. heading to manila in october
Very helpful to those planning on a quick getaway in Asia.
Thank you for showing us around Mergim.
Try the emerald avenue in ortigas. The wall street of pasig
Emerald Avenue that's closed off to traffic on Sundays with pickleball courts and kids riding bikes has a very neighborhood feel
Yes lots of condos are building up, especially here in pasay ,in aseana
Using the handicap lift because of your suitcase? Man card REVOKED. 😂😂
It takes more time and efforts to operate the handicap lift than to just lift his luggage hehe
Yes you are right less traffic maybe in BGC
I like how Mergim luvs THE BGC. ❤🎉😊

Finally you tried Mandaluyong
Maybe Im stronger than most British males but I can lift a heavy suitcase 3 steps no problem. Just shows you how stronger Filipinos are.
It's full of gold bars inside, but he didn't want to mention it.
I would live in mandaluyong over any other citys un manila...madaluyong is the best palce to be in
Not true of course 😊
I can't believe what I just saw. Did you really just use a handicap lift to take your luggage up a few steps? hahaha.
That area is very traumatic due to very heavy traffic. Unless you live there, and you don't need to commute much.
Any luxury condos?

Less than $28 per night nice.

Thanks Mergim. Mandaluyong is not the same as 10 years ago. It has grown so fast.
