That was so funny to me too. In so many cases Wright has been almost paranoid about respecting the judge, and the judge seems to worship Edgeworth's thinking abilities. This time both of them were like "we're talking to Aura, STFU".
Well the judge at his most serious was basically being walked all over by Manfred von Karma(except at the end), so I think something like the prosecution and defence telling him to STFU is pretty tame by comparison
@@NinjaAO42 I can understand Edgeworth being able to tell the judge to stfu, but it’s weird seeing Phoenix do it. Usually, with how rigged the ace attorney games are against the defense, that would earn him a guilty verdict with a side of taking his badge away.

The entire conversation about aestheticism is hilarious. It's nice to see Edgeworth and Phoenix act like children with big vocabularies in the middle of this rather depressing case.

***** Umm...have you not been paying attention throughout this entire episode or something? She literally never left the space centre, and was constantly in the midst of robots and the latest technological A.I. If you have no memories apart from these ones when you're 11 years old, then you'd also believe humans and robots are the same. She wasn't stupid, just sheltered, so she thought that because robots could be dismantled to be fixed, that you could do the same with humans. It's actually got extreme scientific merit to it. It's known as "sheltered brain defaults". Something that seems like extreme common sense to you, in this case that robots and humans are completely different, is overlooked by someone else who's been sheltered from that fact. TheKpa11 Might want to wait until finishing the video before trying to point shit out dude...they explain the thing with the jacket. And also the memories flooding back is realistic...When you suddenly get a spark of thought, or a push in the right direction by someone, your memories of an event that were buried deep in the back of your mind come rushing foward. That's how the brain works. Memories don't "go" and then "come back". They're always "there", but just hidden by you and buried in a metaphorical "locker". When you get the one "key" that can unlock that "locker" though, the memories come piling out of it and flowing to your mouth easily.
@@EddieSMiles1 Was probably replying to people who complained about stuff in the game, but said complainers didn't do any research on stuff that actually made sense.
When i first saw the picture of the whole staff crew i thought Athena's mom was aura and I thought aura was dressed in japan culture clothing, because black quill enjoys swords and katanas
Maybe Blackquill got influenced by Metis and started wearing samurai clothes? Nah, it was shown he was already wearing samurai clothes. Or maybe Aura influenced Metis? I mean it makes sense, because maybe Aura did kinda like Japanese stuff so Metis started liking Japanese culture.
13:15 That music... YES, WE'RE ACTUALLY DOING THIS!!! Bailiff, policemen... could you please double as nurses? The emotions released are gonna be so overwhelming, she's gonna run wild!
So when I was watching these I had it at 2x speed and when I got to Athena’s Sad Theme if you will it sounded perfectly normal. It sounds amazing at 2x speed.
I figured that Blackquill had a noble reason for doing what he did and that he really wasn't the true culprit for his crime...but wow. To do all that for Athena...is so heartwarming for a character like him. :)
I'm starting to have this bad feeling that Fulbright is the Phantom. There were only three people who found the body and supposedly Fulbright was there 7 years ago. And altough this next bit isn't as important as what I just said, but acting like an fool is the typical and perfect mask that most villains use nowdays.
Jesus, you play all these Phoenix Wright games out of all the statements and breakdowns of the entire series.... Child Athena's smile and dazed off look while talking about fixing her mother has got to be the scariest thing this series has ever offered.
Man, I was waiting this whole episode for Phoenix to call Edgeworth out on DL-6... guy should know better than anyone that repressed-memory confessions don't necessarily equal truth. Or that Phoenix Wright never gives up on his friends.
xJC4Rx There are a LOT of people out there who ship Adrian Andrews with Franziska von Karma, probably due to the fact that Adrian mentioned that Franziska had taught her how to use a whip. And then there's her relationship with Celeste Inpax....
David Guthary why celeste impax? It makes zero sense. Impax's death had nothing to do with her teacher/student relationship with Andrews. Impax dated both the victim and the guilty Engarde. No room for Andrews in there. The Franzy-Andrews shipping sounds like it would be interesting though.
The Yandere scene didn't scare me at all. The Phantom, however, that's something that could haunt me (for 5 minutes, Jesus will keep me safe.) His music especially jump scared me. I couldn't do it, I put the song on mute.
I love how Wright and Edgeworth fight in court. When I was a little kid we would fake these "sissy fights" and I can just imagine these 2 doing just that. Wright: my art sense is better than yours! (Lie) Edgeworth: my emotional sense and kindness is better than yours! (Biiiiiig Lie) Judge: I clearly am going to join in and say that I know my electronics better than both of you! (Whatever you say Mr. Mistake-an-igniter-for-a-phone) 😄 this game makes me think too much.
No really, Phoenix has a good sense of art. Do you remember that he went to art school while studying law and decided to study law full time after his trial?
@@Kureemy well I’ve been studying the hell outta this series narrative since I made this comment 5 years ago. And the 2nd trilogy is super underrated. They remember ALL the little details and incorporate them really well. That being said Phoenix does have a good art sense, but it’s not as good as Edgeworth who spends so much time getting the decor of his office down pat and has it dusted every few hours.
So Edgeworth would only stop standing up straight and bend down, leaning on the courtroom table only when Wright criticises his aesthetic sense, huh? Seems legit...
Poor Simon Blackquill, he suffered way too much. First, he witnesses THIS, and THEN he is ACCUSED OF MURDERING HIS MENTOR, AND THEN HE GOT THE DEATH SENTENCE, AND HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EXECUTED. That man just suffered too much...
Spoilers down below: Okay, I know Apollo is traumatized by Clay's death and wants to see that his murderer is sent to prison, but couldn't he at least care for his partner as well? It's as if he's like "Oh, you didn't kill your mother? That's cool, BUT WHAT ABOUT MY BEST FRIEND." Couldn't you at least be relieved that she wasn't guilty of killing her mother?
the entire reason he did what he did was so that was so he could care for his partner. Apollo couldn't trust her fully so he had to question his guilt for his sake.
In the FMV at the start of the case, Athena looked like a yandere, all covered in blood with insane look in her eyes. This is even more colorful a depiction! They even removed other colors for additional effect, like in Sin City! 5:09 ... Image complete.
I love the use of imagery in the courtroom, it really makes you feel how eerie and disturbing the nature of this case is, especially near the beginning. Loving this case.

Looking back on this from SoJ I would’ve liked in SoJ the closed eyes sprite in the background was still there when the deep thought insights happen
I think I've officially found a case sadder than Bridge to the turnabout.....
5:00 that's cool, I didn't want to sleep anyways.
2:56 Emotions are going crazy
But not just 1 nor 2...Oh boy....WE GOT 4 EMOTIONS ON OUR HANDS
*Bloody Athena appears*
Rad Gaming: That's scary get that outta here. 🎵Just Athena. Just Athena. Just, just Athe-ena🎵 (That was me trying to convince myself that Athena was NOT a psychopath when she was 11)
18:30 Edgeworth: And what proof do you have? (Of there being a knife before)
Me: THERE IS A FUCKING EMPTY SLOT IN THE FUCKING TOOL BOX THING EDGEWORTH D:
"...FUCKING EDGEWORTH"
Ivan Pozdeev For someone who's best weapon is his sense of logic, you'd think he'd have put 2 and 2 together earlier than Phoenix.
Pdog139 Edgeworth's Eye sight is failing.
He's gettn' old.
김지웅 HE'S 34
this court trial was crazy
Aura missed her buddy
loving that final logic brainstorming so cool
half expected pearls to show up, shows how good phoenix got
a case worthy of being the 5th
More like Aura missed her crush
5:07 Noo! Come back my beautiful, needed sleep! 😭
Ć̨o͓̣̩ns͙̤écrͨ͊̌ăṭ͠i͖͊n͖ͨg̩ͪ̋ Lǐgh͎̀̅t̯ GODDAMN IT I CLICKED ON THE LINK
AND AFTER I WAS WARNED TOOOOOOOO
Nooooooooooooooo
Pause exactly at 29:57
Like, Jesus Christ, could the killer have chosen a creepier mask to wear? Though I guess it was the only thing he had available.
This was one of those moments where it was late at night, lights off, brightness on the 3DS was high, and you got to 4:22 where the tone changed. As you read your fear starts getting to you, and then it start to rise at 4:50. Your left speechless and as you keep reading, you almost want to look away but can't. Then goes a tad silent at 5:02 to update the info AND THEN FROM 5:06-5:11.... (O_O) your unable to press the continue button for sometime as you stare at that face while it burns into your retina. Then to top it off, you read the last sentence and you are now know you sleep, and you know your going to be lucky if you get sleep tonight.
meh creepypastas are worse

Umm...have you not been paying attention throughout this entire episode or something?
She literally never left the space centre, and was constantly in the midst of robots and the latest technological A.I.
If you have no memories apart from these ones when you're 11 years old, then you'd also believe humans and robots are the same. She wasn't stupid, just sheltered, so she thought that because robots could be dismantled to be fixed, that you could do the same with humans.
It's actually got extreme scientific merit to it. It's known as "sheltered brain defaults". Something that seems like extreme common sense to you, in this case that robots and humans are completely different, is overlooked by someone else who's been sheltered from that fact.
TheKpa11
Might want to wait until finishing the video before trying to point shit out dude...they explain the thing with the jacket.
TheKangLock Wth are you talking about?
@@EddieSMiles1 Was probably replying to people who complained about stuff in the game, but said complainers didn't do any research on stuff that actually made sense.
“Sheltered brain defaults“ huh? So that's what it's called
Does this confirm that Psyche-Locks are real, just undiscovered?
@@amezu3559 you could say they are, just not visible like they are to Phoenix
I totally see why this game is rated M.
5:06 That's it! I'm done with life!
Wright: "I better hold onto this real tight"
*fucking loses the evidence to the Phantom at the end*
Athena Cykes' bloody face as she smiles...
Me: **attempts to turn away**
12:50
It was this very moment that my heart shattered into a million pieces and I cried absolute waterfalls.
12:29 yes Edgeworth, he did. He was more tactical as Hobo Phoenix
GOD DAMMIT APOLLO! We were just about to have a tearful resolution to all this!
13:15 That music... YES, WE'RE ACTUALLY DOING THIS!!!
Bailiff, policemen... could you please double as nurses? The emotions released are gonna be so overwhelming, she's gonna run wild!
Bailiff 1 standing by!
I never noticed it the first time I saw this, but Simon's hand was shaking the whole time as he gripped the table
So when I was watching these I had it at 2x speed and when I got to Athena’s Sad Theme if you will it sounded perfectly normal. It sounds amazing at 2x speed.
39:56 ah yes a classic case of "self report"
plot twist, Shelly de killer is behind all this
I think he is the one who shot the bullet from the sniper.
The true plot twist : Simon Keyes was the mastermind.... again and he pulled the strings from his cell
Phoenix has freaked out more in this case then any character in the series has.
43:14 "The Phantom"'s theme starts playing
I figured that Blackquill had a noble reason for doing what he did and that he really wasn't the true culprit for his crime...but wow. To do all that for Athena...is so heartwarming for a character like him. :)
I'm starting to have this bad feeling that Fulbright is the Phantom. There were only three people who found the body and supposedly Fulbright was there 7 years ago. And altough this next bit isn't as important as what I just said, but acting like an fool is the typical and perfect mask that most villains use nowdays.
You're right. But the real Fulbright was murdered in 2026. The Phantom is his imposter.
@@Moda-pf8wt sad :(
@@fluffy._.6872 Yeah :'(. He could have been a great friend to Blackquill!
Or that Phoenix Wright never gives up on his friends.
but that.......im.....im............IMPOSSIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
abogado pls
be a btr lawyr bb
42:24 are we getting into some lesbian subplot?
Hey man, Adrian Andrews. Wouldn't be the first time for this series.
Max Moran Adrian wasn't gay..
xJC4Rx There are a LOT of people out there who ship Adrian Andrews with Franziska von Karma, probably due to the fact that Adrian mentioned that Franziska had taught her how to use a whip.
KenDaKingArrives There are those who think that Andrews' relationship with Inpax was more than just teacher/student, but I see your point there.
Forward facing Simon Blackquill acts like some Animatronic crawling in to kill the camera FNAF style
12:22 sneaky Gordot words: Brave till bitter end, and this...
24:35 I WISH this happened more. OH MY GOD this minigame is *SO COOL*
Freeze the video at 5:07! That's Creepypasta right there!
The Yandere scene didn't scare me at all.
The Phantom, however, that's something that could haunt me (for 5 minutes, Jesus will keep me safe.)
His music especially jump scared me. I couldn't do it, I put the song on mute.
I love how Wright and Edgeworth fight in court. When I was a little kid we would fake these "sissy fights" and I can just imagine these 2 doing just that.
Wright: my art sense is better than yours! (Lie)
Edgeworth: my emotional sense and kindness is better than yours! (Biiiiiig Lie)
Judge: I clearly am going to join in and say that I know my electronics better than both of you! (Whatever you say Mr. Mistake-an-igniter-for-a-phone)
😄 this game makes me think too much.
@@Kaempfdog Ok makes sense.
Strange thought but....imagine if this was on the Oculus Rift?
My life would be complete.
+Filip Melzacki (DrepagPL) Same
I would help pay for that! (I wish) XD
Phoenix wright......
So Edgeworth would only stop standing up straight and bend down, leaning on the courtroom table only when Wright criticises his aesthetic sense, huh? Seems legit...
At the beginning the part where Blackquill talk about what he really saw...man,that's creep...
Spoilers down below:
Okay, I know Apollo is traumatized by Clay's death and wants to see that his murderer is sent to prison, but couldn't he at least care for his partner as well? It's as if he's like "Oh, you didn't kill your mother? That's cool, BUT WHAT ABOUT MY BEST FRIEND." Couldn't you at least be relieved that she wasn't guilty of killing her mother?
the entire reason he did what he did was so that was so he could care for his partner. Apollo couldn't trust her fully so he had to question his guilt for his sake.
" "Emotionalism"? Don't lecture ME on the matter of the heart, Edgeworth!"
Eight years, and they're still flirting the moment court is in session.
What the fuck Apollo. Are you serious?
***** damn it apollo ur stupid mentor did this
Yeah
***** apollo is pretty bad ass
47:03
WTF APOLLO?!
I SWEAR TO WHAT IS HOLY, I'LL DIE IF YOU PROVE BLACKQUILL AND ATHENA GUILTY AND LET HIM DIEEE ;n;
5:05
I don't need sleep anyways!
I never thought I would be seeing ALL FOUR EMOTIONS overloading at the same time. 2:48
I can easily conclude even now that this is the most epic final case of any AA-game so far!
43:14 I just found my most favorite track in the franchise.
A100%hunter I think it is also the longest one
AFAIR it actually is. There is a 17 sec intro and 2:06 mins of the looping part.
ace attorney 5 if simon used his right to remain silent:
LETS FUCKING GO PHOENIX
Oh sweet jesus the moment the music turned up at Simon's "the phantom"
in 5:06 who needs sleep
Th bloodstained smile...
WHY I WAS ABOUT TO WRAP IT UP AND CALL IT A DAY GOD NAB IT!!!
So, that why it was rated M, I got to this scene, I was speechless of what was happening and I couldnt believe this, this could be the most scarest and shocking case in this series, capcom need to keep this up
It's Dark Af
23:45 USE THE DAMN PSYCHE LOCK
gawd
I just sh*t my pants when I see athena covered blood stains and smiling
*im not crying my eyes are just sweating*
8:57 it's so creepy how such innocent toy box music could make it so... Creepy...
