    Kristoph is by far my favorite villain. He isn't some guy with incredible power or a crazy person who murders for some dumb reason. He is a cold hearted genius of a killer. His facade of a kind man who cares deeply about the law is there but doesn't hide the calm, maniacal brilliance and terror. He is somehow incredibly calm and intimidating at the same time. When his evil pokes out of his calm and smug demeanor, I get chills. His twitch of anger covered by a smug attitude is generally disturbing looking. His cold glares are terrifying and really feel like he is threatening Apollo with just just his eyes. Especially at 10:07. Where you can see him simply readjusting his glasses but under is a chilling glare of a murderer who notices that Apollo sees through him. He isn't scary because of a brutal murder or extreme use of power. He is a cold, cunning, and manipulative maniac who knows how to use the law and manipulation if others to get his way. His murders are far more brilliant and he clearly doesn't value human life as much as everyone else. This is at least what I picked up from him.

      It was something that took the judicial system and either left a big rip in it, or torn it asunder. This happened because Kristoph wanted to be famous after working so hard, he didn't even want to be associated with Wright because of how he was known. So the fact that he also did this because he lost the card game, and Zak didn't want him as an defense attorney, it is despicable, despicable enough to partially be the reason why the dark age of the law happened.

    40:30 I’m taking a high school forensics class (adding the high school part to communicate that I’m by no means an expert and I might be off here), and this line in particular is so interesting to me because my teacher argues the opposite. The law is not absolute, but a floor. A foundation of sorts. That’s what makes Gant and Kristoph SUCH interesting villains for me; they’re running off the basis that law *is* absolute, which is in a way why both of them fall (especially ironic for Kristoph, who’s reason for his fall is literal forgery and covering up his tracks).
    At first, this part confused me, because I thought Kristoph was right. Law IS supposed to be absolute, right? It’s the good from the bad, the right from the wrong. But that’s black and white in. world of grey. Which is exactly what Klavier and Judge talk about. There have been so many cases that have shaped the law by revealing flaws and contradictions in the system, saying “law is absolute” is hilarously ignorant for a former attorney.

    Did anyone think, that wasn't fair when Kristoph said,"I plead my right to remain silent". He obviously knew the reason why he killed Shadi Smith. He just didn't say it

    • @adnaP_esreveR
      @adnaP_esreveR 8 лет назад +25

      I think Kristoph actually hasn't realized what his motive was himself. Black psyche-locks appeared when Phoenix asked him his motive, after all. Which is fitting if you think about it, as his motive was his narcissism. Most people aren't aware of the fact that they are ego maniacs, after all.

      He did have a motive... He thought he was the best attorney and his ego compelled him to punish both Phoenix and Zak (Via evidence forging)... Then, after the evidence forging, he became paranoid that someone would find out so he kept tabs on literally everyone and killed shadi smith (Zak Gramarye).

    • @agsexycakes14
      @agsexycakes14 7 лет назад

      @alessandroasplanato9796 7 лет назад +11

      Oks but his motive is insane in itself! What average person would forge evidence for a stupid reason like that 😂. He could have been an amazing villain if they developed his character a bit more and enlighted his narcissism and "hate" for common people.
