Failed attempt to replace washing machine tub seal

I've got a Frigidaire Washing Machine, model GLWS1749AS4 and it was leaking around the axle that the agitator is hooked to.
I took the washing machine apart with the intent of replacing the tub seal, which was likely the problem and could not get the trunnion bolt off. If I HAD been able to get things done, the parts listed below were the ones I would have used.

After breaking off the nuts for the trunnion bolt I used a hammer and chisel to try to get the trunnion plate off, but it was not budging. Rather than go the extent of using a grinder to cut the plate off and given the rust on the shaft, general amount of dirt/grime hiding in there, and likely condition of other parts, a new machine is likely in order.
