- I visit a very unique and modern hotel in China. This hotel is built into the side of a mountain and shaped like a beehive. There are lots of interesting Chinese structures around the hotel. I visit the hotel grounds, fly my drone over the hotel and nearby theme park and I eat afternoon tea in the hotel. This hotel is in the Chinese city of Nanjing and is very unusual. It is called the Beehivehotel

Thanks for commenting. I agree, it is like an entire world within a country, it’s very diverse with a real mix of this crazy modern architecture, ancient historic sites, simple rural life, crazy fast trains, mountains, temples, beaches. There’s a lot more to China than I think most people realize 🙂

This hotel is so beautiful, moden, very detailed. I love it.
This video left me speechless. What beauty. Majestic in a sense. I'm sure Feng Shui was applied to design this hotel. Great videography work, did you take a course or self taught? Another great choice of music. Both the visual and music took me on a journey ... I kept on thinking, "This is what a peaceful nation can achieve. Let the visuals and music do all the talking. No need to make political comments to show what Peace (along with engineer talent, creativity, and long term vision) can achieve." Peace! 🕊
p.s. Bees (life), animal kingdom (harmony), Lion (king of the jungle)... there's lots of themes being presented. Interpret it as you may.
Thank you very much for another interesting comment! I agree I would think they used some form of Feng Shui. I haven't taken any videography courses, I just keep things simple and having made so many videos this year I am slowly learning what kind of shots I like to take. I agree, a lot can be achieved with a focus on peace and on the simplicity of life. We can learn and experience a lot by placing awareness on simple everyday things. The world and our minds are already full of enough commentary. The animal themes are very interesting, it would be cool to talk with the architect who designed it. thanks again!

This hotel is at another level. It's more like an art museum than a hotel. Nanjing is near Shanghai, just west of it.

Neither was I 🙂 I saw the hotel building from a distance and it looked pretty impressive but it wasn’t until I got close that I realized there were all these cool features and carvings in the rocks too. It’s called the Bee Hive Hotel Nanjing 🙂
The Chinese were building *zero nail structures during the dynastic era, the Forbidden City Palace is one example.

Incredible! Chinese designers and builders are really hitting their stride now. This structure and the whole landscaping around it is just awesome. I saw another structure in Shenzhen that is similarly amazing, organic in appearance yet mostly made from bricks. Thanks for filming and posting.

Yes, it looks like they carved them into the stone on the hill. I'm not sure exactly how they did it but it looks very cool.

It’s almost as innovative as the hotels in NYC, London and Toronto (sarcasm).
Beautiful hotel, it's comparable to the famous Las Vegas hotels.
Just like in the West most hotels will be boring, strictly functional "sleep over" buildings but some special hotels are special in a good sense.
Yeah it is special. I’ve never been to Las Vegas but I can imagine there must be some hotels like this 🙂

Depends on the season, the size and the design of the room. We (family of four people) spent around 500-700 RMB

Even though the price might be high, it will never be much higher than in developed countries. For a once in a lifetime experience, it’s worth saving up for it.
