- I visit a very unique and modern Palace in China, in the grounds of a temple. This Buddhist Palace is called Niushou Mountain and is in the Chinese city of Nanjing. The design and architecture are incredible and the interior design in the palace is very exquisite and beautiful. The artwork is beautiful and the statues and structure is impressive. I also visit a Buddhist temple in the grounds and see a beautiful lake, pagoda and other scenic sites. This video is in 4k quality. The Chinese name for this place is 牛首山文化旅遊區 entry cost an expensive $22.50 and parking was 16RMB for around 4 hours. The palace may look futuristic, but the associated history is ancient. The temple stores the supposedly a piece of Buddha's top bones, Ashoka gained possession of them and distributed them world wide, Tang dynasty received a piece, then in Song dynasty, a monk buried that piece under a temple in year 1011 and recorded the process and described the containers. Then in year 2008, a thousand years later, it was discovered and in the exact same box as described by the Song monk. That piece was presented on tours in Taiwan, Hongkong, and South East Asia, then they built this temple to house it.

What I love about modern China is that its architecture pays homage to its past while looking towards the future. China's modernity is absolutely stunning, compared even to the United States.

Amazingly beautiful. I've seen several cities in China with Buddhist monasteries, but none so spectacular as the architectural marvels of this one.

Excellent. You let the scene speak for itself, without intrusive narrative or people. There is background music (normally a no-no) but in this case it is a good choice.

It depends on the footage and the background noise / whether it flows or not as to whether I use music. I’ve enjoyed using music a lot recently I think it can also help create atmosphere and evoke emotions.

2:20 that pagoda reminds me of Bruce Lee's Game of Death where he worked his way up the tower, disposing of various martial artists along the way.
Thank you very much ! Haha I love these Pagodas! Bruce Lee is great, I haven’t watched any of his movies for a long time. One of my neighbors in my old apartment here in China was a Shaolin monk, he made some very cool videos showing his skills. I’d like to visit there in the future.

Is that a Buddhist temple?
Yes apparently it’s a famous Buddhist mountain it was built on. The first building is the temple and the futuristic looking dome is a palace. I don’t usually film statues of the Buddha inside temples as they usually ask you not to, but I did in the palace because it wasn’t a temple as such and was full of people taking photos of everything.
The location is not mentioned in the video and im surprised no one even asked in the comments!

I saw the pictures in computer games. The games made in China are basically arranged according to the actual scenery. They are not as fantasy and fake as those made in the West.
Some western games also include real locations. I don’t play games much these days, can you recommend any ? 🙂
