    An eternal winter begins for Suleiman after Hürrem's death. Suleiman leaves the magnificence in palace and falls into a deep silence. Hürrem's death will change not only Suleiman's life but everyone's. Bayezid loses his biggest support after his mother's death. However, Selim wants to take Rüstem on his side. Rüstem gets cornered after Selim finds out his secret even though he is determined to stay loyal to Bayezid. Nurbanu declares her era has begun. Nurbanu gets shocked by what the fortune teller who has oracled to Hürrem tells her.
    At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
    The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
    As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

    How sad is it when these Şehzades want Hürrem's letter to come true so badly but alas, it is too late. The silent war has already begun, probably even as early as October 1553. These two have said and done so much bad to each other since then, a big clash was inevitable.

      Hürrem was greedy, evil and a liar. Selim inherited all of her traits. Do you really expect with the inherited rotten personality he has that he would spare his brother's life?

  • @princess7jasmine
    @princess7jasmine 2 года назад +34

    Honestly, Hurrem was unbelievably naive to think there would not be any continued animosity between Selim and Bayezid. Suleiman is old, their older brothers are dead, only one of them can ascend the throne and the one that doesn't will be killed by Ottoman law along with their sons. (note Suleiman NEVER revoked this in his time).
    Even bigger mistake to favour one of them for the throne, she's basically damming the other to their death. Hurrem should have been smart enough to know this, the writers basically made her character stupid just to justify the plot line.

    • @abdulwasay1750
      @abdulwasay1750 2 года назад +13

      No dude . I mean as a mother what option did she have? She could not change fatricide law . The last thing she could do is request them to be kind to one another and hope that whoever succeeds will respect her will . I personally know someone who did not like his brother but never kicked him out of the house because their parents asked him not to do that before dying . I know it's the sultante but still as a parent you'll make the very last effort. Wether it succeeds or not is a separate thing

    • @princess7jasmine
      @princess7jasmine 2 года назад +10

      @@abdulwasay1750 And that makes sense, however she contradicted her own wishes by favouring Bayezid over Selim for the throne rather than staying on neutral ground. If she had done that, Selim (by extension Nurbanu too) wouldn't have felt so threatened and resentful. Bayezid wouldn't have gained a massive ego which furthered the animosity between the two.
      You don't get to have favourites and expects the non favoured child to just accept it without animosity. Especially when those two are competitors for the throne.
