- Daniel Bowman Jr. is a novelist, poet, and professor, who received an autism diagnosis at age 35. He will offer insights on autism, relationships, faith, and the gift of neurodiversity through stories of his heartbreaks and triumphs.

I worked over 12 years with autistic children, the professor seems delightful, but he definitely in a completely different category than the children I worked with, not sure how he was diagnosed with autism. This is very fascinating to me, maybe he is in the Asperger‘s Syndrome form of autism. I’m sure much has changed in diagnosing autism over the years. God bless.
Asperger’s syndrome was rolled into the Autism Spectrum Disorder category in 2013. Autism is generally seen as a very wide spectrum, and not a linear one. I think the awareness of how Autism can present is ever-expanding, thankfully because of #actuallyautistic people who are enlightening us with their life stories.
