Thanks for this! Some 50 years ago, we went tent camping in Bon Echo. I launched my canoe and paddled across the lake. Did not know the pictographs were there - until I "discovered" them. Eerie!

Thanks Richard - and what a great ‘discovery’ - that would have been very cool to happen upon if you didn’t know they were there!

Bon Echo holds a special place in our hearts. We got married on top of the Rock in 2002. When we do go there we always go to the Hardwood Hills campgrounds and love the trails on that side of the highway as well as Joeperry Lake
We are tenters now having just gotten rid of our tent trailer this year and gone bak to tenting year round but we do enjoy your videos.

I would love to travel through much of Canada and stay at some of the provincial parks. Do most require reservations?

Hi territ - the answer to your question is difficult as Canada is a huge country geographically and not every province's parks are going to be as busy as others. Generally speaking, parks in the north are less likely to be busy as they are further from major population centres, but even these can fill up. And almost all parks will be MUCH busier in July and August, when kids are out of school. Shoulder seasons (may-June and Sept-Oct) will likely be less busy. Having said that, I would recommend reservations if possible. In Ontario, they can be made up to 5 months before you arrival date. Here's a link to the reservation site: www.ontarioparks.com/reservations
Four of our personal favourites in Ontario are: Killbear, Lake Superior - Agawa Bay Campground, Algonquin and Bon Echo. Each province will have its own website.
Also note, Canada has National Parks that also offer great camping and amazing attractions, A couple of very popular ones are Banff and Jasper in Alberta in the Canadian Rockies.
      Hope this helps!
