An easy way to get Sue to level 99? Okay, I'll have to give this game another shot once you explain this wizardry.
On my first play through as a kid I missed a bunch of the mana eggs, so I got in the habit of never giving Sue any magic at all on subsequent play through a until I came back to the remaster recently. It’s so much handier to level everything up this way.
When I was younger I always gave Justin Wind first but as i got older I started doing the same as you and starting with fire or earth for a challenge on Sue. She needs all the help she can get early game.
oh its not a challenge, giving her fire and earth is actually the most broken thing in the game haha

Seeing Mr. Pakon's face after all these years..... Ooooooh, boy, I had forgotten all about him but now I wanna hit that guy so bad......
When I think back to playing Grandia on PlayStation, there are two bosses I remember: the Squid King you just defeated and one way later in the game. I think it looked something like an oni, with a big axe, maybe two heads, blue and/or red skin... Can't remember him exactly, but that guy tortured me for days.
I said wtf out loud once you gave the fire magic. I was expecting her to get water or earth first. Twists at every turn I love it keep it up.
Sue takes the first mana egg is good idea. I might try your way in next playthrough.

Does increasing the weapon level increase the damage that weapon deal? Honestly I would play this if they remaster or just hd re-release
this is the remaster haha and no you wont deal more damage unless the weapons give + stength stat like the axe for justin does or like earth magic does for everybody. all damage is related to stats, the actual moves base power (same with magic base power) and enemy stats

Primal, wait till these people watch your overpowered run of this game....... Sue can be so, so very broken early game, which can make the other 2 (cough. cough) perm members broken AF.
Also, love that you started on this hidden gem of a game. I still got my PS1 copy. But I jumped for the remaster.
