This song was originally written for the film adaptation of the novel “The Wizard Of Oz” and only by a huge coincidence was sung by the still very young Judy Garland, for whom this conveniently marked the start of her world career.
From the beginning, the song has become a jazz standard worldwide and has been interpreted in a variety of versions by countless artists on as many albums, both with vocals and as a solo instrumental.
I have probably performed the title many thousands of times in my life with countless artists and will continue to do so.
