Prasar Bharati Archives presents AIR Archives Radio Autobiography of Kidar Sharma (1910-1999).
Kidar Sharma was multi-talented, multi-faceted Hindi film personality. He was a director and writer, known for Bawre Nain (1950), Neel Kamal (1947) and Sohag Raat (1948).
Kidar's big break came when he asked to write the screenplay, dialogue and lyrics for the film Devdas (1935), perhaps the most iconic interpretation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel. He is most remembered for starting the acting careers of popular Bollywood actors like Madhubala, Geeta Bali, Raj Kapoor, Mala Sinha, Bharat Bhushan and Tanuja.
