Thanks, Kimberly! great overview! I left Tucson in 2010 after finishing my bachelor's and currently live in my home country - Kazakhstan. I still remember the snow blizzard that hit Tucson in January 2007, it was funny to watch people's reaction because where I come from we have snow from late October until April, and on that day the locals went crazy and started making snowmans)))) I have great memories with the city and hope to visit it again one day.
Thanks so much for sharing your story! I love hearing about other people’s favorite memories about this city. Yes, anytime it snows here, it’s a special holiday as far as we’re concerned! 😆 Thanks so much for your view and comment! Wishing you the best in your future prospects, and hoping that you are able to come back to visit soon! ❤️
I live in Phoenix for 20 years. Lived many other places, climates. Yup, much of the year is great weather. I even enjoy the summer heat and pre-covid walk 2-4 hours a day in the afternoon. Key for me was a towel on my head and a baseball cap. Keeps the sun off and it catches the air as I walk. Low humidity is indeed key. However...for most people I can see why the heat is a problem. Most people sleep through the best time of day in summer 4:30 am to about 10 am.
Thanks for the view and comment! Funny you mention sleeping through the best part of day; I actually have some friends who practically become nocturnal during the summer months! They stay up all night and then sleep from around noon-8pm if their work allows it and is flexible. I think Tucson has a bit more of a constant breeze than Phoenix and Tucson is higher elevation so it’s slightly cooler year round, but Phoenix has more indoor activities to take a part in, which is really nice especially in the summer. My favorite thing about the dry heat is the relatively low chance for mosquitoes! Thanks again for stopping by the channel! ❤️
Hi there! I actually do have a video about best neighborhoods, but I plan to make another one soon and I also plan to have some upcoming videos that just focus on the individual suburbs. Stay tuned!!! 😊 thanks so much for the view and comment!
born and raised in tucson az and it does snow there and more times then what people think ....also it gets humid but only in monsoon season..people think of weird things of tucson but thank God you made this video to show those that think otherwise
I’m working on it… 🤣 I do have a couple of videos on this channel about individual trails, but if you’re looking for some good hiking I would say Sabino Canyon and Mount Lemmon for sure, plus saguaro national park west or east: all beautiful, all amazing areas. Mount Lemmon is great for hiking in the summertime because it’s a lot cooler around Mount Lemmon than in the city, but saguaro national Park West and Sabino Canyon are absolutely breathtaking and there are tons of trails around those areas. I’m definitely putting together some videos about restaurants to because we have so many great ones, but let me know if you have a specific type of food and I’ll give you some ideas right now off the top of my head :)
Hi Kimberly! Thank you so much for your video of Tucson. Me and my hubby will be moving there around February 2022 and hope to purchase a 1 story home with a big backyard with a wall built around it with 3 bdrms and 2-3 bthrm. We may be reaching out to you! My hubby is a veteran and we are coming from expensive Hawaii 😆
Wonderful! I would love to work with you! We have plenty of homes here matching your search criteria! Reach out anytime you have any questions about Tucson or real estate in general! 😎🌵☀️
As being a Tucson Native it's always bugged me when people say "there's nothing to do here bleh... this city sucks bleh... its so boring bleh... its so ghetto bleh.". Covering those first 3 statements I quoted is that the Tucson has much more to than most metro areas if it's size , that being just over 1 million people that aren't the states core metro area and some could argue coastal cities as well but we have extremely large mountains that make up for that. Infact there 4 ultra prominent peaks that surround the valley known as the Madrean Sky Islands which as a geography nerd like to argue should be the Northen extent of the siwrra Madre occidental range. We are also nearly surrounded by a national park being the Saguaro NP east and west. So we have so many amazing hiking trails, mountain biking trails that wind through one of the world's most unique and biodiverse ecosystems. So if you are into the outdoors Tucson is definitely one of the best cities in the country for outdoor activities that within a 45min drive can be experienced in multiple different ecosystems from extremely harsh desert, to grasslands, to Mediterranean, to sub alpine pine forests going up the mountains that include the southern most ski resort in the nation! And ehen people say Tucson is so ghetto well so is every other major city im the Unites States so that argument means nothing.
I completely agree with you! All bigger cities have some “bad” areas; I’ve never heard of a big city with no crime. And even though I’m born and raised here I did live in another, much smaller city for almost four years and I liked living there too but it had other sets of problems just like all places do. As a real estate agent, I work with so many people moving here from other places, many of whom have lived all over, and they constantly talk about how great it is here compared to where they’re moving from. Tucson is not perfect; but it checks off a lot of boxes on a lot of peoples’ wish lists. That’s why people often move here-and stay here! 😁 Thank you for your view and comment!
Great video it seems very very hot compare to here in Quebec, Canada 😅 and I don't know why to me Tucson seems like a place that is filled with coyotes but I guess that there are not that much! I'll be looking forward to see more of these great videos I love the vibe of your channel!!
Thanks so much! You are right--we DO have a lot of coyotes!!! LOL! I guess that's one of the myths that is actually true! LOL! Thanks so much for following along and I hope you get to visit Tucson sometime! My cousin lived in Quebec for over a year and loved it. But yes, the weather is different :) Have a great day!
I have a video out about Tucson and water. Tucson is really big on water recycling and reducing programs, and Tucson has a lot of underground aquifers. I worry about this too, though.
Strange question. I'm thinking on moving out there and was wondering if there are enough restaurants to support doing Door Dash full time? Do you know anybody who makes a go of it full time doing Door Dash there? Rents are cheaper in Tucson than Phoenix.
Hey there thanks for reaching out, I don’t personally know anyone who does DoorDash full-time but we have a ton of restaurants here, both local and chain, and I’d like to think that that career could be a possibility. I can try to look into this a little bit more, and if I find any additional information I will add to this comment
@@TucsonArizona Ok thanks. I'm doing extensive research on Phoenix and Tucson right now from every angle. The biggest downside of the Phoenix Metro right now is the cost of rent in many decent places. I think the area would suit me just fine with tons to do but if you are living on Ramen noodles to live in a decent area it just isn't worth it. LOL If I'm going to move across the country by myself from Kentucky I need to make relative certain things are going to be ok with moving that far.
Yes Phoenix rent is definitely higher than Tucson rent overall, although Tucson has gotten more expensive recently. I would assume that there would be a lot more work options/opportunities in your field in Phoenix because Phoenix is so much bigger, but as you mentioned Tucson‘s rent and overall cost of living is going to be a little bit less than Phoenix, so it’s all relative… let me know if I can help in anyway
Thanks for your view and comment! Definitely some areas of Tucson have lower crime rates than others. Really appreciate you checking out the channel! Have a great day!
These vids always have people comment on crime who had no money and lived in a bad area. Then they comment here and make it sound bad. Tucson has many beautiful upscale areas. That's why it a retirement hot spot.
I agree. People wouldn’t retire here if the crime was really high everywhere. Most people these days are purchasing real estate in the suburbs or surrounding areas outside of Tucson, which are newer and closer to the mountains, and tends to be a more affordable as well.
Hello, I have a video on this channel about crime but I also recommend the website neighborhoodscout.com/az/Tucson/crime for a good crime statistics map of the areas/neighborhoods. Thanks for checking out the channel!
Interesting question! Arizona isn’t really as known for ET activity as our next door neighbor New Mexico, and I certainly can’t speak from any personal experience, but when I googled it I found this recent article: www.abc15.com/news/state/the-truth-is-out-there-5-ufo-sightings-reported-in-arizona... so I suppose anything is possible! 😊
Great video..... I'd move back in a heartbeat. I love Tucson
Thanks so much for the view and comment! I love it here too ❤️

As a native of Arizona, one of my worries is … water! Phoenix has banked water for several years. Wonder how Tucson manages the ongoing drought?
I have a video out about Tucson and water. Tucson is really big on water recycling and reducing programs, and Tucson has a lot of underground aquifers. I worry about this too, though.
Phoenix has water for 150 years!
Thanks for checking out the channel
Raked my green gravel yard twice a year. That was the only yard work required. Trade that for mowing each week any day.
I love it! Low maintenance yards are the best! 🥰🌵🌵🌵
Nice one.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks so much for the view and comment!
