I also really liked that they made Doyle a screenwriter in the show because the actor is also a screenwriter in real life! He wrote the screenplay for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 & 2!
It would great if you did a final review at the end, especially if you contrast it with your trailer talk video where you laid out your theories! Just found your videos today! A bid new fan!
I actually really liked Spring. I loved Rory and Paris back at Chiltan. Plus, the confrontation between Paris and Francine was great! I still can't believe Mr. Kim exists!
The mr. kim cameo killed me!! Everything was answered in that little clip of him! I loved seeing Mae Whitman, both of Lauren's tv daughters were in one scene together! I enjoyed Spring, but Idon't think i have any favorites.
I completely agree about Logan! I hate that they took away all of his character growth. And I'm so disappointed in Rory. She should be smarter than this! I just feel like they've taken away some of her maturity and morals and have made her character less like-able. Maybe it's only temporary due to her feeling lost though. I really hope they have a season two. So many things that need to be resolved in my opinion!
Honestly, I'm surprised Logan would even want an open relationship with Rory considering he proposed and she turned him down. I always likes Logan and now I'm not even sure. I also didn't like that the writers forget that Jackson and Sookie have kids so it's so weird that Sookie would just leave her family.
that's their dynamic... but, I believe that have improved a lot through the years, though correction, the basket bidding was in season 2... and the best part was Rory and Jess
Favorite Spring moments: Paris's Tristan meltdown and the Stars Hollow failed gay pride parade!! LMAO!! As far as the Logan thing, I'm sorry, I've never been a Logan fan...I've always thought he had this richboy, entitled, slimeball factor. And in Rory's defense, she's 32 and single and she can't quit Logan even when they both are involved with someone else because he charms her and he's familiar (and let's be honest, the sex must be really good)...and its not the first time she sleeps with an ex even though he's married because Dean was also familiar. I think Rory has an issue with craving that safe intimacy with men, maybe because of the absence of her father growing up. #teamjess #kellybishopisamazeballs
What about Michelle finally being confirmed? He has a husband! It was never confirmed and he always mentioned "the ladies" especially when talking about dancing. It was nice to see that he found someone, even if he was being manipulated into having a kid...
That was Alex Kingston. She was on ER and most know her as River Song from Doctor Who. Rachel Ray felt very random to me. I know she's a chef like Sookie, but I didn't understand that cameo.
I totally agree - the cameos by the different chefs was so weird and unnecessary. The scene with Paris in the bathroom was probably the best scene in the entire episode. Loved it.
The tension between Emily and Lorelei grew over a span of 16 years, so we shouldn't expect it to resolve itself quickly and without therapy. Lorelei robbed her parents of a relationship - only visiting occasionally at the holidays and maybe Rory's birthday. She eschewed them and their privileged lifestyle because she didn't want the strings she felt were attached. Then finally she comes crawling back for money to give her daughter the fancy education that she had missed out on. Ironic that wants to give Rory the very same education that Lorelei as a teen refused. Mom is living vicariously through the daughter. Daughter THINKS she wants the life mom and grandparents are providing. For me, Logan was Rory's Christopher - always in and out of her life. Paris - loved her always!! I'm so glad she got such a great part in the revival. I wish they'd made Paris & Doyle have a happily ever after because she would be the last person you'd have guessed would have a happy relationship. Loved Kirk's second film. Rachael Ray's scene was so weird and forced. I'm guessing that Rachael wanted a cameo. I thought there were too many cameos. It kind of made the whole thing feel like a satire of the original. Rory has a one night stand with a guy she meets in a line wearing a Wookie costume? I mean, come on!! She's circling the drain...
I'm so late watching the revival. I watched Winter yesterday and loved it. I just finished Spring and I have to say I liked Winter more because it was more fun. I felt like Spring was a mess of drama.
After seeing Spring, I was like... great, Rory is still a terrible person. Lol. I thought she would realize what she was doing by the end, but she never seemed to feel guilty. She was just sad Logan wasn't going to choose her. And the boyfriend that she kept forgetting about? It was too much and not funny to me. Just made her seem self centered.
The appearance of Mr. Kim may be a nod to the Gilmore Guys podcast in which they discuss where he is quite a bit. Sharp eyed viewers may pick out the Gilmore Guys in the Dragonfly inn.
I feel like Mr.kim was over seas and hardly ever comes home. That's the only thing I could come up with watching this lol I assumed the whole show he was dead or divorced!
The Mae whittman cameo was weird for me it was like watching two world collide. Because Amber/Sarah relationship is alot like Lorelai/Rory so i thought it was cute that she gave her the Cronut.
I was so so so disappointed when we found out about Logan's fiance. I just thought that Rory (apart from the Dean thing) was a girl's girl and wouldn't do that to another woman and the fact that she just didn't care about Odette at all. Ugh. Rory, who are you anymore? I'm just so disappointed by Rory. Paris definitely saved the episode by just being Paris, she is so great and unchanging in her ways. I love her.
I agree with you 100%! I'm totally on the same page as you. Some things were unnecessary in this episode. I did crack up over Kirk's second short film. I think Fall is my favorite episode because it ended as it should have 😉 with me looking like 😨 haha
there were so many random - thoughtless bits - I agree with you totally about Logan and Rory... Did not like any of the first 3 shows... except anything Emily... I just felt they were inadequate and poor quality - not GG quality...
I feel the same.. on my second watch I related so much more to Emily than Lorelai... I gotta be honest, I always loved the show, but I've never been a big fan of Lorelai or Rory... if Logan loved Rory so much why couldn't they be together... truth is, neither of them know what love is...
I'm wondering if the reason Rory held on to Paul was the whole "What happens in London" thing. Because she possibly didn't want the same fight she had Lorelei that she had about Dean that's why she didn't tell her. My other question is.... what is that letter that Emily kept on mentioning. I would love to know what it was.
Yay! So awesome to see Mae Whitman,... I think she may be my favorite Lauren "daughter" after watching these first two episodes. Rory is breaking my heart.... I am hating her life choices recently, and that she seems to be regressing to her dropping out of Yale and bumming around phase, she did that already... I just wanted so much more from her.... and Logan.... yes he loved/loves her but he doesn't progress Rory in anyway imo... he knows she is making a mess of her life and he just lets her, goes with the flow, like he did before with the whole Yale thing. I honestly never wanted Rory to end up with any of her old boyfriends, I want her to meet someone new and move forward together and build a life, not keep falling back on what is comfortable or familiar.
I never really liked Rory, but I reeeeeally disliked her after her affair with Dean (I hated him too, of course) and now that she's doing it again... It's just in character.
Rory is really making me sad because she was always the one who knew where she was going. She was the sensible one. But now, everything is going wrong for her and it pains me to watch. She went through Chilton and Yale and worked so hard, where we finally left of when she was going to write for the Obama campaign. It was amazing closure. But now, we see her confused, and failing as a writer and it breaks my heart.
Yes but that is life sometimes. Sometimes we have a clear map of where we want to go but often times it doesnt end up that way. I enjoyed seeing her struggle with life becauase I relate so much to that but didnt enjoy a lot of her decisions
I rewatched the entire show recently and I've come to the conclusion that Loreali and Rory are spoiled. The way that Loreali treated her parents (who gave her a privileged upbringing and paid for her daughter's schooling) is not in line with the shit she talks about them. She is the definition of first world problems. Rory is even worse because she doesn't acknowledge her own privilege! Most people don't have rich grandparents and boyfriends that just offer them money or a house to write a book... I actually hate the show now!
yea, the mr. kim thing was ULTRA weird--- i always thought the story of lane was also being raised by a single mother...that is just ridiculous to bring in some rando actor to be 'mr. kim' after so much relationship dynamics have been established between lane and her mother
I thought Rachel Ray's cameo was hilarious! And this whole Logan Rori friends with benefits thing drives me nuts! I just want Rori to see how dumb it is!
I thought that Rory had a one night stand with Dean. I am in the last episode. I hope they don't bring Christopher. I can't stand him. I was on the team Logan side until he start in his old ways. Rory is too old for this crap. I love the hole Luke thing, but they need to talk to each other
agreed PARIS IS JUST SUCH A HIGHLIGHT. THE WHOLE JOKE WITH THE STAIRS XD AHH
hahaha yes!!!

I finished all episodes! I think I need to join a support group after that ending or start stress tap dancing.

Ally Renee lol theres probably already one started
starstruckgurlus YES!! I wrote the same thing on my Facebook page!!

Liza Weil deserves an Emmy for the Chilton bathroom scene alone!
hahaha yes!
Paris' melt down was pretty amazing for some odd reason. lol
Oh it was every level of amazing!
I also really liked that they made Doyle a screenwriter in the show because the actor is also a screenwriter in real life! He wrote the screenplay for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 & 2!
I did not know that! Way to go Danny!
Aghhhhh! Just finished the Fall episode! Please hurry with the next two videos! I need someone to talk to! LOL! :)
They are up!
It would great if you did a final review at the end, especially if you contrast it with your trailer talk video where you laid out your theories! Just found your videos today! A bid new fan!
Oh great idea!
I actually really liked Spring. I loved Rory and Paris back at Chiltan. Plus, the confrontation between Paris and Francine was great! I still can't believe Mr. Kim exists!
Me either!
The mr. kim cameo killed me!! Everything was answered in that little clip of him! I loved seeing Mae Whitman, both of Lauren's tv daughters were in one scene together! I enjoyed Spring, but Idon't think i have any favorites.
Pucksandpaperbacks I smiled big seeing Mae too!! 💞
Yes!!

I really hope they have a season two. So many things that need to be resolved in my opinion!
Em Nich I'm thinking they're trying to show Rory is not as perfect as everyone seems to think she is!
Agreed!
Honestly, I'm surprised Logan would even want an open relationship with Rory considering he proposed and she turned him down. I always likes Logan and now I'm not even sure. I also didn't like that the writers forget that Jackson and Sookie have kids so it's so weird that Sookie would just leave her family.
Yes true!
that's their dynamic... but, I believe that have improved a lot through the years, though
correction, the basket bidding was in season 2... and the best part was Rory and Jess
Ah yes thanks!
she River Song from Dr. Who
I didnt hear it!
Kurk is my favourite secondary character
Me as well!
Favorite Spring moments: Paris's Tristan meltdown and the Stars Hollow failed gay pride parade!! LMAO!! Good points!!!!
What about Michelle finally being confirmed? He has a husband! It was never confirmed and he always mentioned "the ladies" especially when talking about dancing. It was nice to see that he found someone, even if he was being manipulated into having a kid...
I just meant we all knew and it was confirmed in this
We all have that boy that makes you go back to being your 15 self so adorable! I like the episode :)
Agreed!
Loved it.
Yes Paris made this episode!
I'm so mad that they ignored all of Logan's character development 😔
I agree!
Bookables
Am I the only one that doesn't love the way Rory was handled through out the revival
The tension between Emily and Lorelei grew over a span of 16 years, so we shouldn't expect it to resolve itself quickly and without therapy. Lorelei robbed her parents of a relationship - only visiting occasionally at the holidays and maybe Rory's birthday. She eschewed them and their privileged lifestyle because she didn't want the strings she felt were attached. ahahah what you said about the one night stand lol!
I'm so late watching the revival. I watched Winter yesterday and loved it. I just finished Spring and I have to say I liked Winter more because it was more fun. I felt like Spring was a mess of drama.
Spring and summer are my least favorite!
I loved winter and fall but that ending has me judging fall pretty hard. So many loose ends!
Agree on Rory. The more I watch her the more I'm upset with her lol
The appearance of Mr. Kim may be a nod to the Gilmore Guys podcast in which they discuss where he is quite a bit. Sharp eyed viewers may pick out the Gilmore Guys in the Dragonfly inn.
Ha I didn't even notice that, great point!
What about that letter Emily received on her birthday? Who the heck wrote that letter?
Right????
I feel like Mr.kim was over seas and hardly ever comes home. That's the only thing I could come up with watching this lol I assumed the whole show he was dead or divorced!
Ha maybe so!
The Mae whittman cameo was weird for me it was like watching two world collide. Because Amber/Sarah relationship is alot like Lorelai/Rory so i thought it was cute that she gave her the Cronut.

Paris is truly the best!

I gotta be honest, I always loved the show, but I've never been a big fan of Lorelai or Rory...
if Logan loved Rory so much why couldn't they be together...
truth is, neither of them know what love is...
Paola Grejo why does he bother having a fiance ? is it bcs he knows Rory will eventually up and quit anyway
ethnomusicologist1 exactly... that's why I said she knows nothing of love...
Ha good point
I'm wondering if the reason Rory held on to Paul was the whole "What happens in London" thing. Because she possibly didn't want the same fight she had Lorelei that she had about Dean that's why she didn't tell her. My other question is.... what is that letter that Emily kept on mentioning. I would love to know what it was.
They just talked about the letter and then left it! What? Why??
Yay! So awesome to see Mae Whitman,... I think she may be my favorite Lauren "daughter" after watching these first two episodes. Rory is breaking my heart.... At this point I would love someone new or for her just to be alone! And yes to Mae!!!
I never really liked Rory, but I reeeeeally disliked her after her affair with Dean (I hated him too, of course) and now that she's doing it again... It's just in character.
Agree!
Rory is really making me sad because she was always the one who knew where she was going. She was the sensible one. But now, everything is going wrong for her and it pains me to watch. I def seee your point, Lorelei Has worked hard but rory? nah so spoiled
This Gilmore Girls revival made me thirsty for a Buffy one. SPIKEEEE
GOOD LORD YES!
isn't funny that she's broke and she can afford travelling to London so often?
Paola Grejo Logan probably pays for the flights.
Daisy Evans - True, but how come no one questions this?
~MiChJeSu22~ I was thinking was it the actress paying for her to come over
She prob got alot of money from Richard
Bookables good point! I always forget they're loaded... also, Christopher my had done her gera trust fund
yea, the mr. kim thing was ULTRA weird--- i always thought the story of lane was also being raised by a single mother...that is just ridiculous to bring in some rando actor to be 'mr. kim' after so much relationship dynamics have been established between lane and her mother
sydandtaytum we knew from the beginning she was being raised by both parents, she talks about them in the pilot. I was happy to finally see Mr. Kim.
Yes agreed!
I thought Rachel Ray's cameo was hilarious! And this whole Logan Rori friends with benefits thing drives me nuts! I just want Rori to see how dumb it is!
Ha yes!
Logan got me so mad that makes me sad !!
Me too!
I agree Chad Michael Murray should've appeared and spring & summer were my least favorite.
Mine as well!
I thought that Rory had a one night stand with Dean. I am in the last episode. I hope they don't bring Christopher. I can't stand him. I was on the team Logan side until he start in his old ways. Rory is too old for this crap. I love the hole Luke thing, but they need to talk to each other
No rory didnt sleep with dean at least not recently lol
I thought she did in the series not this one, i thought. I need to binge watch it on Netflix
