Good evening. I just found your video. We were on the Meravaliga and we had no issues at all. Our butler meet us and walked us to the lounge. Put our wrist bands on and got us a glass of champagne. Said he'd be back in a few minutes. (I think it was like 5 min). We didn't even finish our drink. He came to our cabin and went over everything. Asked what pillows we wanted, newspapers and alcohol. We saw him many times during the day, from early morning to late evening. We're normally Haven and felt the service was far better on MSC. Alot more reasonable also. We had booked it pretty far out and got the deluxe suite for $1800. For the two of us total. Plus $400. OBC. We just sailed a few weeks ago. Thank you for the review.
The yacht club is an amazing deal right now. We have a feeling that once they reach a certain capacity they’re going to start raising their prices like all the other cruise lines. But in the meantime, take advantage of the amazing service!
Thanks for your review. I’ve been scared to try MSC bc of negative things I’ve heard but think we will now after your review. If you tried the thermal suite, would love to hear your thoughts. We love the ones on NCL so hoping to hear a good review . Again, thx.
To be honest, MSC features both the same negative and positive things as Royal Caribbean, Carnival, NCL, Celebrity, or any of the major cruise lines. The difference is you’ll get all those positives and negatives for a fraction of the price. The thermal spa on Seascape is quite small. I believe there were eight chairs, but I’d have to look at my video to see. The spa pool is also small, a little smaller than the spa pool we saw on Carnival Mardi Gras. It would probably seat 8 comfortably. There are several other rooms including a salt room, which is nice, but not very salty, several saunas, and the very cool snow room. We went on the first night and it was not very crowded. It becomes very busy on sea days. Give it a try, and let us know what you think. We just booked our 4th MSC cruise, back on Seaside (Yacht Club this time) in September.
Great job on figuring out the sound! you can see the wind blowing but the sound is awesome, not blowing thru the mics with that annoying sound. it's like you are recording from your cabin. My wife and I are doing Seaside in Sept. first time on MSC unfortunately not YC but still it will be different and new as we have done the others out of Port Canaveral.
Thanks Tim! It took a while for our Tim to figure out the secret of ‘furry kittens’ but I think he finally got it. Now, if he could only UNmute the mic on his teleprompter app we’d be GOLDEN!
Recently did Yacht Club on Seaside. Fantastic service, food was great and nice private bars and pool area! On self walk disembarkation butler escorted us to the exit bypassing the Gen Pop people in line. If looks could kill!
We’ve finally got status on RC, but now you’ve got us thinking MSC is a better deal. We watched your other MSC videos too (excellent job btw) and it looks pretty good!
It IS a better deal! Status won't get you much on any cruise anymore. RC's four drinks a day for Diamond is probably the best loyalty perk on the market, but MSC Yacht Club gives you open bar your entire cruise! WINNING!
We tried status matching RC Diamond - all MSC gave us was gold. We'll hit MSC Diamond after our next cruise, but the perks look lame EXCEPT for the one free specialty dinner!
Your crack about steerage was great. I have only heard bad or neutral reviews. However, since it ticks the most important criteria for me for a cruise, that is, I can take a taxi to the ship, I have booked a cruise in Feb 2024. We shall see
Same. We live 20 minutes from Port Canaveral, so we’re already partying before we get in the limo! Honestly, it’s not that different than Royal Caribbean, Carnival, or Norwegian. Enjoy!
Stayed in the Yacht Club on the MSC Seascape last year. One big letdown was we had our own private bar on the private sundeck. No waiting in long lines for drinks, right? The bar was closed 3/4 of the time, so we had to walk down the deck to the pool bar, and wait in long lines.
@@beetelgeuse9938 it’s a paid, yet still surprisingly affordable upgrade to the all-suite class. Sadly, status really doesn’t do anything for anyone other than some silly discounts on laundry or specialty dining.
Why is MSC so cheap I’ve been getting my family to go but 8000 for 5 people is not a lot for yacht club is there anything I’m missing or I need to know?

Thanks for the informative MSC Yacht Club review, very nice recap. However, your experience, or lack of experience with your assign butler is very different than another RUclipsr's channel (Byte Size Cruises - ruclips.net/video/Cpx1Z0klGbY/видео.html). He was basically saying his butler escorted him everywhere, to the shows, off the ship for excursions, etc... Would you know why there is such a service discrepancy?
It really depends on the staff and the YC director. Seaside's YC staff on our September crew was OUTSTANDING, but we did luck out (or MSC figured out we're RUclipsrs) and got MSC's 2022 Butler of the Year. He was all up in our business! On Seascape, I guess we could have made a stink and requested more time, but we're not as high maintenance as some self-serving dork who wastes all the shared butler's time. I guess he chose to be that person. We did get an escorted debarkation and that's always nice. Sailing YC on Seashore on 11/16. Maybe we'll be that dork on this cruise and document our findings.
Yacht Club isn't "exclusive" since anyone who can afford it can get in. It's not like exclusive private golf clubs, like Augusta in Georgia, where the wait list is years long, and even then you have to be voted in by other members.
Let's be honest here. People who frequent "exclusive" clubs like The Masters are the biggest douches on Earth and would rather sail on a private yacht. We personally know several of these douches, including two from Augusta. You wouldn't want to cruise with them anyway. Zero fun. Enjoy the only exclusivity most of us can afford on MSC's Yacht Club.
When operating a business in America, try to speak the language its residents speak. I'm not going to open a Starbucks in Italy and only speak English, bro.
Y’all got our friends in your video 😂
So glad we met y’all leaving the ship . This is lots of great info .
Oh Sheila! I remember your song in the 90s! Great to meet you and the hubby. Hope to hang with y'all in the future!
After suffering through the last carnival cruise, I'm beginning to think the butler escort might be worth the price
Probably shaved a good two-three hours from the beginning and end of our cruise.

$16 a day per passenger. Saw a LOT of people remove them.
At 3 hours x $100/hr x 2 people = $600 to save a couple hours of BS. Worth it?
