The other comparison is the sundeck/ pool etc. You can actually swim in the YC pool at 4' 9 " the haven pool is narrow and three feet. YC sun deck has its own mini buffet with shrimp , scallops carved meats and NO crowds . Thank you for doing this. I would also give Haven points for nicer rooms and more variety in style
Thank you for this video! Based on your info, we recently booked our first MSC YC cruise for next January! We watched a lot of videos, but yours was what swayed us and we are so looking forward to it. Thanks so much!!
I think one of the biggest differences between any of the top level accommodations, is that MSC will match your current level from the other cruise lines
I'm subscribed to you, so looking out for your Ncl JOY cruise cos were booked on her April 2024 for the Bermuda 5 day from NYC in an exterior...then on the Sunday when we get back ,we head over to Brooklyn and get on the MERAVILIGIA in the yacht club!
I've been watching as many videos as I can on The Haven vs. Yacht Club--thank you for your honest review. I'm reading that many travel agents do not want to work with MSC cruise lines because they are just too complicated in terms of wait times on the phone, booking errors, etc. I would love to give the YC a try, but I'm a bit apprehensive about the booking process. What are your thoughts?
Hi Barbara. While their systems are not as simple as royal or NCL I have had no issues booking or getting in touch with them. Specifically for us based ships. It is def with the price and it’s a great experience onboard
I have never had a long wait on phone. Join their loyal club first and get a status match from another cruiseline or hotel or certain cc Good luck BTW my casino rated Haven room 15K for 12 day YC with casino rate$ 2300 . Second week straight booking $5800. Total for 14 days $7100 Less than half of NCL Plus unlimited wi fi for 2 devices Inc for each of us and unlimited drinks
We are YC on Seascape in August... So excited. Its our first cruise ever and figure may as well go big or go home. The kids are super excited. Anyone know if the butlers will escort the kids to the kids clubs? LOL.
Hi again! Is it possible to get connecting rooms on the Meraviglia YC? Two adults-one child. I read somewhere that you need to have four people in your party in order to book connecting rooms--is that true? And I think a travel agent would need to handle that booking? There are only three of us, but my daughter likes to have her own room and bathroom separate from us. Thank you!
Hi Barbara. There is no requirement for the amount. Anyone can book a a connecting room if available. Agent would def help as they are good at coordinating. As long as she is old enough to be on the room it’s fine. If she is a minor you would have to have 1 adult on each room but she could sleep there obviously
@@ByteSizeCruises That is great news! You're a travel agent so you would be familiar with this process, right? We're looking at 2025 so it's still a ways out.
We're doing the NE & Canada cruise from Brooklyn in the Yacht Club in October. We'll be in the Duplex Suite. Any idea if any of the Yacht Club cabins, especially the Duplex, have an electric tea kettle? I saw one RUclips video of someone's room review and the Duplex had a tea kettle. Great video and I'm glad the Yacht Club won since we spent a boatload on this cruise! Actually *I* did. Husband's first cruise and he doesn't know I splurged yet. ;)
Aw. That’s amazing. He is going to love it. I did not see a kettle. Coffee machine for sure which does hot water but didn’t see any kettles on Meraviglia. I’ll ask around.
Correct on the Haven menu. It’s not really a huge downside for me since I also do a lot of specialty dining and generally use it for breakfast and lunch but that could potentially be a downside for sure
I booked the Yacht Club because it was so affordable. I couldn't afford the Haven. They may raise their prices after the hype catches on, but for now it's one of the best values in cruising.
I do not understand, if you are there for a week or more, and the menu does not change! How is that not a big red flag and no-go? I don’t care how great the food is, if I have the same mains every evening I’m getting something else.
It’s not a club there are cabins located in the front of the ship which have all the amenities stated in the video they also match your point status with other cruise lines
Just disagree about the Haven restaurant. I was sick of the same menu on day 3. On MSC the menu changes every day & they have that great buffet open for breakfast & lunch with lots of options & a chef waiting to cook your burger for you. MSC definitely wins for the food & variety. Thanks for the video.
I totally agree, we have been on a lot of MSC cruises. My only complaint is how long it takes for the entire dinner experience at Top Sail, but a lot of other people probably do not mind. We travel with our eight year old grandson, so time alone is precious. We absolutely love the buffet on the Yacht Club top deck pool lounge. Food quality is great. We just love MSC Yacht club, can't go back to main ship or another cruise line! We went on a Norwegian cruise that our friends asked us to join, I swear you would have thought we were paid by MSC, but the entire time we just told everyone we met how much better MSC is, lol.
I just booked the Yacht Club for September for the first time. I feel so much better.
Going to be awesome. What ship?
Seascape, we are going in September. We are also going on the NCL Joy for the first time in June.
We are going to in October on the Meraviglia looking forward the YC experience it might be better than RC suites
Great video! Full of details
thanks so much

It’s a great perk. Love it!!
Other question, I understood haven does not always have the drinks included? Is that true? In YC inside cabin you still get the highest package
Completely correct. On NCL I think most people take advantage of free at sea so while not technically included most people get it anyway.

I would like to know about the sizes of the beds , queen or king
Suites are king size on both.
Do you tip daily on top of the gratuities that they charge?
Yep. Depends on the room and the service etc
The mini-bar is not included on the NCL Haven.
It absolutely was for us every time as was yacht club. May depend on your butler
Please tell me how the Munster drill is handled in the Yacht Club? Thanks
it is the same as anywhere. You have to watch a video, scan your card at your station and call a number to verify. Takes about 2 minutes.
We are YC on Seascape in August... So excited. Its our first cruise ever and figure may as well go big or go home. The kids are super excited. Anyone know if the butlers will escort the kids to the kids clubs? LOL.
You will have a blast. The kids must be checked in by parents I’m pretty sure. But the butlers will escort you all pretty much everywhere

And that security check in the terminal ifor MSC is separate for yacht club!
Everyone goes through the same security.
Both times I indeed went through same security, but quint in a different line. So I could skip the full line and jump front.
I booked the Yacht Club because it was so affordable. I couldn't afford the Haven. They may raise their prices after the hype catches on, but for now it's one of the best values in cruising.
Totally agree
Love Msc
:)
Haven is a better restaurant? Doesn't menu variety calculate into this?
Nope. Just an overall better restaurant. Food quality and selection are better

That’s a fair criticism. I wind up in specialty a good amount so that doesn’t affect me but I could see where it would def get boring

MSC have it right. Make it more affordable to all and youll fill the YC...If its hugely exspensive, onky a few can do it.
I agree totally. It’s great
