The Dornish had cave systems that they would flee to whenever dragons would attack them. Dorne has the perfect landscape to fend off dragons. And if an army came to Dorne, they could also use their terrain to their advantage. Imagine the Dornish as the Vietcong in this scenario lol.
A pretty funny thing they left out of the show is that it is theorized that Oberyn actually poisoned Tywin before Tyrion killed him with his crossbow, because throughout Tywins funeral he gets all bloated and pushes out nasty smelling gasses and his body makes the whole funeral smell so foul and EVERYBODY notices. It turns out that in the end, Tywin Lannister in fact did NOT shit gold. 🤣🤣
I love this theory! There is a poison described in the books called Widow’s blood which “shuts down the bowels until the person dies from their own poisons”. That’s why he was found on the toliet, he was constipated. And why his body smelled so horrible, he was literally full of shit. And Oberyn is very knowledgeable with poisons so it makes sense.
Aegon The Unworthy was actually 4th of his name! (Meaning hes the 4th Aegon to actually SIT the throne. Meaning there’s even MORE Aegons in the family tree.) Princess Elia’s son with Rhaegar was named Aegon. The Targaryens and most other houses reuse names

The Targaryens definitely tried to conquer the Dornish with dragons, specifically during Aegon's Conquest, but they failed miserably, with the Dornish killing Aegon the Conqueror's sister Rhaenys and her dragon Meraxes. Lord Hoster was mad because the Tullys were trying to wed the Starks to forge a political alliance. Baelish killing the Stark heir in a duel would’ve screwed this plan over tremendously. Also, Baelish is a legitimate noble house. The great grandfather from Braavos was knighted and then acquired land. A landed knight is the lowest form of nobility so he would have established a house name at that point. The Corbrays are also a very powerful house, so for them to invite him from Essos, he must’ve had a good reputation prior to coming to Westeros

Lol on the Pycelle-Oberyn poison bit. After his duel to first blood, he was exiled temporarily from Dorne by his brother (who was Prince of Dorne), to appease the angry nobles. Oberyn then spent a couple of years at the Citadel (Maesters headquarters) and even forged a maesters links. So Oberyn probably did complete his education of poisons at the same place Pycelle did.
The dragons shrunk because the maesters started poisoning them after the civil war, they also secretly store ancient magic knowledge in the Hightower which the Hightowers secretly study it but the Maesters conspiracy was cut from the show 😢😢😢

Even these lore videos should be taken with a pinch of salt as they are the point of view of a particular narrator. The maesters are far more powerful than Qyburn gives them credit for but the Valyrian steel link that involves the glass candles. Standing O for Mira Rose Thanks for sharing Dorne allows women to rule as well as men. In the rest of Westeros, they prefer men to rule & when there is a female heir, she’s married off to a man who will rule through her claim rather than allowing her to rule in her own right
Not all of Bronn's info about the Targaryan Civil War (aka Dance of the Dragons which is portrayed in the series House of the Dragon) is accurate. The Kingsguard who crowned the son instead of the daughter was named Ser Criston Cole, and he never swore to crown the daughter (Rhaenyra) because he was a bitter, spurned lover of hers and was all for doing anything to NOT see her ascend the Iron Throne.
1:21:23 Yeah, you’re right. The dragon in question got killed by a very lucky crossbow bolt that went into its eye, probably out of 100s. The other ones would’ve just bounced off the scales. Tbf tho, the author wrote that whole war pretty badly. Three dragons should’ve easily been able to pacify dorne.

There is a theory that Oberyn poisoned Tywin before the duel with Gregor which is he was on the toilet when Tyrion found him, and why he stinks to much after he dies
You must watch video about the blackfire rebellions it doesn't have spoiler for the show but is amazing because of the lore
Sadly they all inadvertently have some level of spoilers. Like I love the War of The Ninepenny Kings lore, but they all contain spoilers for reactors of the show
Yes, the books are so good!
Even these lore videos should be taken with a pinch of salt as they are the point of view of a particular narrator. The maesters are far more powerful than Qyburn gives them credit for but the Valyrian steel link that involves the glass candles. Sadly these glass candles are left out of the show but the fact that Maester Luwyin at Winterfell DID have a Valyrian steel link, suggests that he had figured out how to use a glass candle
the valyrian steel link does not correlate to actually lighting a glass candle. there hasn't been one lit in westeros until maester Marwyn.
@@billyguyjoe1858 What, are there like three people in the whole world, including Maester Marwyn, who know how to use a glass candle? I'm wracking my brain to remember.... was Quaith one? And maybe Euron? Or am I way off?
@@neryskkiran1820 in ACOK Xaro tells Dany that glass candles are burning in the house of Urrathon Night-Walker which fans theorize to be Euron, and I don’t believe it’s ever explicitly said that Quaithe has a glass candle, but it’s likely considering how she’s able to communicate with Dany from afar.
Yeeeeees histories and loreee
Man. There are multiple Aegons through the years. It's actually a plot point in House of the Dragon causes a huge misunderstanding
A silly misunderstanding of the show that ruined many characters, the books weren't that silly
@@Mutazili I've read all the books. I think it makes sense for a misunderstanding like that to happen especially because it wasn't the leading cause of the betrayal - it was just a character flaw used by more experienced characters as an excuse to follow through with pre planned actions. Don't personally think it was that silly.
@@moodyinformed I suggest you read the book again. Alicent is not a two digit IQ to base her coup on a misunderstanding, she wanted the throne the second her son was born and had intense hate for Rhaenyra and her consort. The misunderstanding is the silliest change from the books and first writing red flag.
@@Mutazili don't need to reread something to change my personal opinion? I think alicent and rhaenyra are both pretty flat characters in the history book type format Fire & Blood is written in. Artistic license and the way adaptation works means things have to be changed to fit the format. I don't think there's any debate to be had, or I don't care to.
@@moodyinformed Well,if you believe the Targ civil war happened because of the romcom miscommunicationand and not the reasons George RR Martin wrote then your loss...
Standing O for Mira Rose
Thanks for sharing
Dorne allows women to rule as well as men.
In the rest of Westeros, they prefer men to rule & when there is a female heir, she’s married off to a man who will rule through her claim rather than allowing her to rule in her own right
Storm is a fire last name.
You must watch a song of ice an fire(ASOİAF) theorys, of course later s8
Northern conspirasy
Dorne conspirasy
Bloodraven theory
Just watch later🙋
bro i do hella art i might be able to whip you up something🤔
that civil war is house of the dragon xD
books are indeed lit
Usually 3 moons means 3 months I believe.
No Aegon the Unworthy was the 4th lmao there were a lot of Aegons
Qyburn was spitting
Storm and Snow are the only acceptable bastard names.
I wld definitely live in dorne
Yo moderators, we're gonna see if Legenbarry wants to watch the musical right? It's about that time now.
Sad to say Oberyn got just as fucked up in the book as he did in the show
the name gotta be storm or blackfyre
Yes Barry you gotta watch House of the Dragon after you finish this its about the Targaryen Civil War
Who's the guy in the painting?
I asked because he reminded me of my deceased nephew.
@@sallyramirez8938 It's Legenbarry, Barry the Bold, our esteemed host who we watch here, reacting to all the episodes.
One of the fans, Mira Rose, made the portrait, and he put it up as a backdrop for the History and Lore.
Your nephew must have been very handsome.
@@neryskkiran1820 the way the face is angled resemblance to my late nephew is amazing. I couldn't see anyone but him. Thanks sweetie ✌️
@@sallyramirez8938 😘
🤣🤣 it is a samurai sword Barry, where is your claymore or zweihander
bruh! dornish are getting stung by thorns (from the roses)... not other men xD
their was like 6 Aegon's
Yo Barry! Watch House of the Dragon after GoT so you can SEE the Targaryen Civil War with your own eyes!
Oh no. You got the tormund suckled on a giant story too early. You should have waited until you see him using it to hit on (spoiler)
@legenbarryreactions, have you played Skyrim?
Bastards are named for where they are raised, not where they were born. Otherwise Jon would not be a Snow, also best bastard name has to be Storm.
