I always say the Mexican people are like perpetual teenagers. We eat to the extreme with spice, and salt and fat. Our music is full of passion and our traditional dress are full of color, metal, leather and flowers. We believe in the supernatural and spirits and saints. We drink in excess, and truly live in the moment. We have a very active social life full of extended family and friends where we laugh, joke, tease and eat. Any excuse to watch a soccer game together and party. And when the party’s over, we all clean up together and stack up chairs and tables. We are rarely alone and would never let a family member leave hungry or without something in their hands. We don’t have limits. We are the happiest people..

The first part about that's what mother taught me, hes talking about his sister who actually raised him. He had a very shaky relationship with his mother, and they never really connected. So basically first half hes saying he knew about love, and never loneliness, until her met her. Or when he actually realized the type of person his mother was to him. It's a love/hate song to his mother. It is also why in the end he wants nothing to do with her.

@@antonioessj no querían permitirlo porque en el palacio de bellas artes solo exponían pintura escultores etc.y decían que Juan Gabriel no era un expositor para el lugar. Sin embargo les hicieron ver ques la música también es un arte y después de un tiempo lo permitieron y fue todo un éxito
