i love how he is teaching his daughter to lay the flooring and use the airnailer....that's an awesome dad, teaching the kiddos a trade that will carry them through life
Best part is @ 18:36 when you involved your daughter. My daughter who is turning 7 soon, has taken major interest in all the projects daddy has been doing around the house. She has learned how to cut the grass, paint, hang doors, use a screwdriver... Its the best feeling in the world when you are working in one area and look over to see your child working in another. Hats off to all the dads and moms whom are teaching their children how to repair rather than replace.
Great idea. I can see having segments with his daughter. We all know having someone help is great, but when you need to get something done and need to focus, it can be tricky with an underskilled person in the room.
I have 3 girls and 1 boy. 7 year old twins and 6 year old twins. The youngest twins are girls and are very girly girls. My older (by 11 months) twins are boy and girl. My son who is autistic is too busy breaking things for me to fix and his twin sister is right beside me looking at it saying "ya dad, you can fix that...AGAIN" Life is good, I am blessed even though the world wont slow down long enough for me to know which way is up.
I honestly think what makes this channel different, aside from the host being really personable is the willingness and commitment to showing and keeping the 'plan changed' and 'we can't film this part, oh wait we can film this' in the final edit. seriously it makes me believe and trust this more than any traditional DIY style videos/content. If 10 years of success from now you find yourself wondering where you could have gone wrong, it will be from losing that personal stuff that makes you a real person instead of just a host of a show. I love your channel i hope the best for you, and all your endeavors.

Woah! That was a great intro! Great project, Bob.
We're really happy it worked too!
Omg I cannot believe the finished product!
I told you 23 minutes was not too long. I watched it all. Even the bloopers ( AKA best parts)
Definitely did not feel like 23 minutes
I like the long Videos!
Master of None I'm going to do the same thing
def worth all the 23mins!
When other people watch at the same time without knowing
There is a closet inside that room, and inside that room there is an attic.
WOW 😮
You and your daughter remind me of my dad and I. I loved helping him on his jobs and now I'm pretty much prepared to do some minor renovations when I own my own home
Wow, that was a lot of work! Lot's of different things to learn, y'all did a great job! 🤓👍
Keep up the great work bob I love your vids
You have just shown what I want to do in my son's room! Now I have some plotting planning and research to do.... and hunt down some courage. Wish me luck!
A 23 minute video from ILTMS? Hell yeah.
Lewis Bulled i think we got a iltms and chill!!
I LOL'd after the first 5 seconds of the video and was promptly hooked. It's awesome to see the different obstacles and the unique things you had to do to overcome them.
I spend a great deal of time watching this on RUclips. They should really start giving you your very own RUclips Red channel making it very easy for us to continue binge watching your amazing instruction.
I loved the intro, it had such a interesting *punch* into the video 🤘
Hey man, you make a wonderful job and you have a nice shop with all the tools you need and saving space... great job keep doing... tumps up👍👍👍👍👍
I love the casual "Alexa turn on the exhaust" plug...❤️

There's nothing like having a man who can fix and build things!!!
Coat your exposed skin with baby powder to keep the fiberglass from irritating you too bad. Not perfect but greatly improves. Also rinse in cold water before scrubbing with hot water.
Good call, thanks for the tip.
Lotion works as well.
Baby powder causes cancer
How did you resist the temptation not to make another secret door like the one you did in the video all those years ago? :-) (funnily, that video was where I discovered your channel when it popped up on Reddit!)
that was the video that led me here as well back then.
Andy Warburton exactly what I was thinking!!! I want a secret/hidden room SOOOOO BAD!!! I would have to hire someone, because I probably cause my house to fall down LOL
Me too!
Your kids are lucky to have a dad that is smart and cool
Been here since 200k, I watch every video. It’s so cool to watch you and to see all the amazing progress you’ve made over the last year. Keep up the good work, and keep making stuff👍
Thank you sticking around for so long!
I Like To Make Stuff how could I not!
Where did you learn all of this?
Did you go to college for this because this keeps peeking my interest and I really want to learn how to do all of this.
I learned it in 8th grade. If you’re still in school look for applied technology classes
Look into job Corp program, carpentry trade can teach you so much and opportunities afterwards for the United brother hood and carpentry joiners of America. Free education
@@tyler4068 8th grade I learned in 6th
Didn't realise how long this video was until I finished it - great job
