whats scary about ooishi is how street punks are afraid of him. clearly he’s intimidating and very strong. he is a good fighter at his age. the fact that he can choke rika with a single hand is bold. typically people use two and it’s very difficult to choke someone to death. ooishi has always been a good cop at heart and this just totally shocked me. it was so fucking sad to see rika losing over and over

Shion and Mion death is just so terrifying too :( They've been enjoying the festival all long and then Shion dies to a single bullet to the forehead and Mion witnesses it is one of the biggest despairs. They are my favorite characters and it's really hard to see Mion also get shot like that, nothing she could do :((

man seeing this scene was UNCOMFORTABLE AS FUCK. im already not really the biggest fan of ooishi (hes creepy lol), but this scene made me want to look away, and the only reason i didnt was because i felt it was too important to ignore when i watched the episode. seeing ooishi choke rika fucking kills me inside, and rena screaming for him to take her instead of rika made me want to cry.

I honestly wasn't expecting this to be basically the first answer arc of gou. I was not at all expecting to see Rika's and everyone elses point of view about the tataridamashi arc's night of watanagashi this soon.

Looking at this scene again and how Ooishi worded it, I wonder if it's his illusion, or Satoko told him that Rika does all of the killing after injecting him.
If it's the latter, Satoko is one evil bih, it means that she is fully aware of her actions will cause Rika to suffer, and she wants Rika to suffer.
Sotsu seemed to have a weird emphasis on when Keichi said he thinks he knows what Rena was doing, and Satoko may use that to further Rena's paranoia. If this is the case, probably likely she also used misinformation as part of this.
I has assumed that because he wasn't a resident he wasn't inflicted with the curse so this shit had me shook

Satoko is possessed, or actually is, a time looper just like Rika. The reason Rika keeps going back to Hinamizawa is that she isn't the only one rolling the die. My theory is that the other one rolling the die is Lambdadelta in Satoko's body but it may just be wishful thinking on my part.

Or Featherine gave Satoko the power to loop and she is exacting revenge or doing what she wants so that she can be with Rika forever (by traumatizing her on EP 16 as if to force her to stay in Hinamizawa)

Most likely, Ooishi saw the scene after Satoko fled.
Took the bat of Satoshi, and in a paranoid state assumed that because Rika was the sole remainder of the Furude Family. Used the entire village to carry out her agenda.
How Teppei was still there and not arrested, I don't know, but I will.
Maybe Satoko? Maybe that phone call the Keiichi was a ruse.
But she doesn't have any murderous intent.
One thing that comes to mind is that Teppei maybe told Ooishi that he left something in the house and went back to get it, or maybe an arrest wasn't made after all.
Maybe Satoko lied, and said everything was fine?
Its interesting, i personally think that oishi was trying to arrest teppei but... (spoil) takano just gave him the hinamizawa syndrome and made him went to L5 (cause his neck). I think takano released teppei. Then teppei found keichi and satoko, its a coincidence i think. While takano made oishi kill rika for her.

I'm starting to think it was Ooishi that attacked Keiichi. Keiichi hallucinated it being Teppei. Ooishi arrives before Satoko with the bat. I don't see how he could beat her there after the fact he's fat and near retirement age.
@@gauthier4036 Takano has no reason to release an useless bum like Teppei though, she could've done the job herself if she really wanted to.
Also, the reason she kills Rika is to prove her grandfather's research (that everyone in Hinamizawa will develop LVL 5 of the HS once the Queen Carrier dies). Having Oishi kill Rika is too sloppy and could've easily thrown a wrench into her plans.
Still, I also don't think Takano has the same role she had in the original. This is a new Hinamizawa with new rules (Keiichi surviving and ending hospitalized in all the arcs, people that were considered "immune" or at least not part of the rule like Mion and Oishi developing the HS, Takano and Tomitake going missing but their corpses not being found, etc); the main villain role could've been easily swapped to someone else.
