@@goldandcheese if you mean "do i need to watch umineko to enjoy higurashi" no, umineko has very little to do with higurashi. Bernkastel and Lambdadelta being rika and satoko is more of a cameo/hint to the audience who watched Higuarashi and doesn't play into the story of either Higurashi or Umineko in any meaningful way. Honestly i think the most they said about it is that Bernkastel and Lambdadelta played a 1000 year "game" where Bernkastel was trapped and Lambdadelta (being the witch of certainty) made a declaration that the only way Bernkastel could escape would be by admitting defeat but Bern still managed to escape getting her the title "witch of miracles." And it's implied that the "1000 year game" was Higurashi.
The 100-year experience made Satoko have the ability to "screw the rules" to win a "children's" card game.
She ALWAYS loses at memory match card games. Even in the old series, so this event must have been special for her lol
