Nah he didn't get stronger when he got the blessing he was finally immune from the curse. The claws that can pierce Tru reg is the result of the power of a hallow, it's special but isnt that strong the blessing was a breakthrough for mankind and the team destroyed the body to help every abyss dweller safely get back home. Also Bondrewd is already considered a powerhouse but his combat Bodies was destroyed when the white whistle of mystery brute force her way to he 6th layer because she didn't want to deal the bondrewd and the necessary paperwork needed for a registered white whistle to go into thier last descend. @@lordlopikong6940 Yup. Any outcome, even a negative one, is more input towards progress. Bondrewd is the most terrifying example of an eternal optimist you could possibly write.
4:00 - The man that just turned his own daughter into a living briefcase sounds worried for Nanachi. Always found that interesting. Maybe sh'es too valuable of a specimen or maybe Bondrewd does care in some sort of weird way.
He cares for her in a way a scientist cares for the product of a successful experiment. Bondrewd successfully made the only person (to my knowledge) who is unaffected by the effects of the Abyss after countless trials. So it would make sense that he would want her to be safe.
Its more than that IMO. Bon seems not only to simply care about Nanachi but he let her in on his experiments and when he confronts her in the beginning, he wants to show her his "progress". To a degree he shows her respect as if she was his equal.
He turn prushka to a slob of meat so she can become a white whistle. Remember that white whistle only can be acquired by voluntarily means of sacrificing oneself for others. In the end, Bondrewd gain what he wants. Result of his experiments and him fulfilling Prushka wish to go adventures with Riko, even with a way that no one could expect.
All the children and Prushka were loved by Bondrewd but I'd guess Nanachi is definitely his favorite. She was both his most successful experiment and a very capable assistant. And while this is my speculation, I think Bon sees his younger self in Nanachi, a dirty starving streetrat who was transformed by the Abyss..
Bondrew actually loves his children, but he lacks the morals to realise that sacrificing them is cruel He remembers their names and what they liked, he never acted out of malice, he wasn't even mad at Nanachi when they tried to kill him and even congratulated them. For him, it's just logical to sacrifice his kids to advance science and protect against the Abyss. He loves them but his pursuit of science goes beyond his love
As much as I hate the character of Bondrewd, I do have to hand it to the creator for creating this monstrous villain. I don't know if there could ever be another villain as suave and hateful as bondrewd.

I let my girlfriend watched this scene and she was so upset she was crying, especially when she learned that the hollows used to be children and that Bondrewd fucked them up and she told me that if the blessing turns you into a furry, then thats not a blessing. God bless her heart.
Bondrewds soul resides in the artifact, the helmet itself, and his way of love is actually eternal and deprived of value, for him to keep all the love of his daughter is his way of immortalizing them by turning them to a sort of container that connect emotion to bondrewd himself to also become his support, either way id rather die erly than have a dad with a weird taste for love and care
I mean, it's objectification and controlling behavior to the deepest level. It's not all that different from people murdering their exes out of "love".

@@Frieren_Lienel I have. Watch the second season. White Whistles hold the souls of those who sacrificed themselves for them. Bondrewd sacrificed his own original body for his.
you know maybe bondrewd heard about lyza having a daughter or maybe he even wrote that message we saw in the first couple of episodes and realized that riko was gonna go down the abyss but knew she wouldnt pass without a white whistle, so he organized his daughter to make a friendship with riko and the others so that way they would be able to pass
Scary thing is that he probably would do something like that, specially if he knew about riko birth , his curiosity to see what results that would have , could make him plan things ahead , after all , Liza note must have passed in the 5 layer ..who knows.
Lyza wasn't called the Lord of Annihilation for fun you know, one wrong move and Bondrewd will be in her annihilation list, that's not good if everyone is just trying to have fun "adventuring" the Abyss.
Sometimes hands aren't enough, and you have to become the wizard equivalent of the pirate king, or destroy our entire solar system in a cutscene that lasts multiple minutes long for one attack.
People will argue with you calling this monster a “good dad”…Bondrewd is still evil thru and thru even if he did it in the name of science I was in utter shock the whole time
He'd probably just kill them, to be frank. Bondrewd LOVES his children, and sees including them in his experimentation to advance the science of diving into the Abyss *as an act of love.* In his mind, he's immortalizing them by making them an inherent part of scientific advancements- either by gaining information on how the Curse works, or by 'allowing' them to extend his life span/protect him from the Curse. Why would he include someone he hates in his "greatest act of love"? Alternatively- or additionally?- the type of person Bondrewd would hate wouldn't usually even make it far down enough to meet him. He would hate someone who was opposed to Abyss Diving, and went out of their way to prevent people from doing so, would make it more difficult, chabged culture to see it as wrong to Dive, or who would interfere in his research *only* to prevent it from being used or expanded on. Not *just* because it would go against his scientific drive and thirst for knowledge, but because it would _also_ mean that the lives of his children would have ACTUALLY gone to waste if that was the case.
Ok. Now I get it. The reason why he really cared about Prushka. It's the only way for him to gain the blessing. Though it was wasted cause the body was destroyed any way. I guess her becoming a white wishtle was a bonus.
Closeish. Bondrewds, well, everything lies within his research as a whole, and the furtherment of mankind. He is so twisted and warped from his time in the abyss that it's hard to even say his ambitions are human At the same time, his love is twisted. He did genuinely love Prushka, though his reasons may be heavily, HEAVILY skewed, it was some form of love, and in the mind of Prushka, who i guess doesn't know very many other forms of love, being able to further his advancement for society was both their genuine affection. As one person shows love through body contact Another shows love through gifts Another through time spent And two peculiar individuals by further enlightenment through inhumane research, i guess. Atleast it was mutual.
@@IAmGun. I feel like if there is a saint that can effectively love everyone equally, including those that he has never met and hasn't existed yet; the saint would either refuse to harm a single soul, or be willing to sacrifice anyone in any manner if there is a threat that would eradicate a higher number of people. A true utilitarian saint that is. I like to imagine bondrewd as the latter, feeling genuine and deep love for everyone, but devoid of the compassion and weaknesses humanity has to offer. Despite of the cruelest acts he did to the orphans, he still loved them dearly, just that the love is also true to the billion of souls it is determined to save.

An important difference in manga is when he remembers the "someones" enter him, he visualizes Riko's mother and another white whistle. Apparently they skipped this in anime.
Bondrewd is a creature that has utterly forgotten pain, death or morality. Bondrewd is a hivemind, his thoughts and concerns utterly inhuman. and that's what makes him such a great villain. he fundamentally can't understand the fears and concerns of others anymore.
0:39 I think reg has a sister or a friend, also equipped with relics, but bondrewd killed her and made her into one of his weapon (the one on the elbow). On chapter 68 srajo the obscure asked riko to show her the letter from lyza the annihilator On the letter there was a drawing that resembles reg, but srajo explain to them that she also saw that human like figure, she thought it was reg but it was also someone else. (Also note that reg hasn't fully regain his memories) Maybe lyza did something to reg etc
Holy fuck that Prushka backstory got me in tears. Being someone who also has a support animal it’s amazing what those little ones can do for us and our mental health.
Bondrewd is interesting in how heartless he is. Like as soon as a kid walks into his lab, they're a supply for his research. He knows their names, their likes, their dislikes, their dreams - all just notes. He needs them to develop a genuine love and appreciation for him to utilize those blessings. Even when he first found her, bro was like "I could use this." He never cared in a paternal way - It's all calculated, which is terrifying. Pruska calling him "papa" - even as a cartridge, proves that value.
It's intentionally left vague whether he is heartless, or actually a fucked up kind of person who loves them all. If all of the details and secrets of the children were just means to an end to him, he could have easily forgotten it when they were turned into cartridges. Instead, he holds on to the memories of all of them, implying that he really did have a genuine connection with them. Bondrewd also knew when to let Riko and the gang go, as soon as they bested him in battle and found that they were more suited and determined as a squad to journey down the Abyss. Some could say it's love for them, some say its purely to advance discoveries of the bottom of the Abyss
all what bondrewd did was for rikko and prushka. Only tthis way rikko could go under 5 layer and prushka experience her desired adventure and be fully safe. It's more complicated than you think.
Apparently in the energy supply not only was electricity but the souls or will of other beings, as the other aubade reg saw for a brief moment the one who took control of reg's body.

Bondrewd is OP because he has special relics just like every white whistle, but the thing that makes him different is that he can escape the curse with the children. That why only bondrewd is the only person(human genetically) can come back and escape the 6th floor
Its actually amazing how bondrewd could Pierce throught reg body with its claws so easily considering the orby couldn't in a direct hit in the same spot, Bondrewd Is a beast
It wasn't the power of the blessing that gave him the ability to deflect reg's incenirator. It was his two sparagamos, watch the clip again at a slower speed. He deflected the beam like a jedi using a lightsaber to deflect laser bullets.
Unlikely he will do it again, they promised to come back and kill his backup monster relic
@@coledorillo6685 ah so he had sparagmos on his cartrige container/backpack? I was wondering because when he gets the blessing finally, it seems like his wrist relics/weapons were lost. Apparently the webs aren't even a relic, it's a living being of the abyss - and would be considered grade 2 relic b/c of how hard it is to use, but Bondrewd made it work
Poor Pruschka, she didn't deserves it... and at the same time... Bondrewd is probably the best at being the worst! The best antagonist I've seen in an anime for a LOOOOOOOONG time and this all 23 minutes scene crowned by an marveleous OST!

It’s so strange but interesting that she still loves Bondrewd, even after everything that’s happened

@@Ayr1n_0 I think it's because despite everything Bondrewd never showed hatred or animosity. He was twisted, and mad in his pursuit of knowledge to be sure, but he at least in some strange way still cared for the children, remembering all of the names of the children made into hollows and cartridges.
Никто не заслуживает быть превращенным в чемодан. Как такое вообще можно придумать 🤯
if you take only Prushka's flashback scenes you'd think Bondrewd was nothing but a caring father and that was all Prushka knew him as until the end, never as the absolute devil that he really is
He is a great father and a absolute monster,he remembers the name of each one of his children, their life goals and probably what they looked like and yet didnt hesitate for a moment when using them as horrible human experiments and murdering them.
Thats the worst part in all this i think

Bondrew actually loves his children, but he lacks the morals to realise that sacrificing them is cruel
He remembers their names and what they liked, he never acted out of malice, he wasn't even mad at Nanachi when they tried to kill him and even congratulated them.

It's not all that different from people murdering their exes out of "love".

you know maybe bondrewd heard about lyza having a daughter or maybe he even wrote that message we saw in the first couple of episodes and realized that riko was gonna go down the abyss but knew she wouldnt pass without a white whistle, so he organized his daughter to make a friendship with riko and the others so that way they would be able to pass
Scary thing is that he probably would do something like that, specially if he knew about riko birth , his curiosity to see what results that would have , could make him plan things ahead , after all , Liza note must have passed in the 5 layer ..who knows.

If bondrewd experiments on and disregard the people he loves, Then you can only imagine what he would do to a person he hates
You'd have to be on a different level of irritating if the guy who doesn't even feel emotions hates you
He'd probably just kill them, to be frank.
Bondrewd LOVES his children, and sees including them in his experimentation to advance the science of diving into the Abyss *as an act of love.*
In his mind, he's immortalizing them by making them an inherent part of scientific advancements- either by gaining information on how the Curse works, or by 'allowing' them to extend his life span/protect him from the Curse.
Not *just* because it would go against his scientific drive and thirst for knowledge, but because it would _also_ mean that the lives of his children would have ACTUALLY gone to waste if that was the case.
tfw Prushka never got to taste Riko's cooking
He is so twisted and warped from his time in the abyss that it's hard to even say his ambitions are human
At the same time, his love is twisted.
He did genuinely love Prushka, though his reasons may be heavily, HEAVILY skewed, it was some form of love, and in the mind of Prushka, who i guess doesn't know very many other forms of love, being able to further his advancement for society was both their genuine affection.
As one person shows love through body contact
Another shows love through gifts
Another through time spent
And two peculiar individuals by further enlightenment through inhumane research, i guess.

Bondrewd is interesting in how heartless he is. Like as soon as a kid walks into his lab, they're a supply for his research.
He knows their names, their likes, their dislikes, their dreams - all just notes. He needs them to develop a genuine love and appreciation for him to utilize those blessings.
Even when he first found her, bro was like "I could use this."
He never cared in a paternal way - It's all calculated, which is terrifying.
