  • This roasted chili garlic sauce is a common tabletop condiment. It's made of roasted chili and garlic, with similar flavors to prik nam pla. A nice roasted flavor in combo with spicy, sour, salty, and sweet. Tastes great on just about anything!

This recipe brought back such sweet memories of when I lived in Brooklyn, I had a dear friend from Syria who taught me how to make something very similar. She would use a manual meat grinder devoted only to vegetables. I could still hear her yelling at me "You need to get one!". Thank you for sharing and may your weekend be festive!

You can eat this sauce with meat and/or vegetables. It also goes great with rice alone. I personally like to dip cucumbers and grilled steak and baked chicken.

You're right! It's similar to Prik Nam Pla but has more complex flavor :)
