I have the straight stick 7 iron and the driver. As well as bought the EZ3 fairway driver. As a 65 year old just coming back to the game, after 30 years of playing only a few times, I have to say these are quality products and work.
Helped me get to some semblance of average in a very short time.
Went from over 79+ for nine holes down to 46-50 for 9 in just 2 months.
    From using these training aids.
Hoping to get to 85-90 golf within this season before winter rolls in.

Darin, nice review and combo lesson together. There was another review of this product without the context that you put to it and the other review made this product seem like a sham but with the context that you put to it I will absolutely consider buying the tool. Thank you bud I appreciate the time you took to review the product.

I think the straight is really good for average golfers who suffer from early release “flipping” . It is the impact snap, a heavier club , teaching grip, and release trainer all combined. It does not fully replace an instructor but it offers guidance on how to hold and release a golf club.

You can make it click with every swing if you are hitting a ball. Make it click just by swinging the club without making contact with the ground or the ball; that is the challenge.

The magnet position on the staff affects the release timing to create the click. Need to be sure it is aligned correctly to use the club correctly so the click timing can occur if the swing is right. If not, it only causes you to have to swing harder and harder to get click, no matter the speed setting.
Centrifugal force has to overcome the magnetic pull forces.
Works very well for 7 iron and driver when set up correctly.

I just received my Straight Stick 3-15-2024 and for the love of God, I can't get the magnetic ring to slide down to the bottom hosel. I must have a detective magnet / metal adapter. 🙄

Man thanks bud. For the review, but more for that training tip with the alignment stick. Will definitely be doing that on the range. Thank a bunch.

I'm usually skeptical whether Performance Golf would've given you and your viewers a huge discount if you had given not given them such a glowing review.

I had the same problem that other reviewers have had and that was I could make it click regardless of my swing path or where the speed setting was at. I’m 65yrs old with a swing speed of 70mph and I was getting a click every swing even when it was set on 100mph and beyond and even with an exaggerated over the top or inside out path.
And as soon as the club strikes the ground when hitting balls off the ground it would release the weight just from the jarring of the club hitting the ground when taking a divot. I could set it on 100mph and take a very light 50mph swing and the thing would click. I did an experiment and held the club vertically with 2 fingers at the very end of the handle and lightly tapped the club head straight down on the ground and sure enough it released.
I don’t see how you get any feedback at all from this contraption. And the supplied instruction videos done by Rocco are vague and pretty much useless. I also found the grip to be too small for my hand. I wear an extra large glove and my hands were uncomfortably squeezed into the form and the sharp edge of the top of the adjustable part of the grip dug into the pad of my hand.
All in all this club was overhyped with claims that just aren’t true. You can find other reviews on RUclips of people having the same experience I did. I sent mine back and will never do business with this company again.

The grip part, yes it’s made for people that would wear small to large size gloves. Moving the slider does not change the strength of the magnet that holds the slider. It simply changes the distance the slider needs to travel to make it to the bottom. The faster you swing the farther it will travel in a short amount of time.
With all training aids you need some idea on how it works. There is no aid that you can mindlessly swing and become an amazing golfer. This aid helps you time up the release. Without a ball you can swing over the top and release it so it clicks at the bottom. If you do that with a ball you can’t hit it straight. This aid (with some explaining) helps you get on plane so you can release the club on time and hit it straight. It’s a good club but yes it needs a little bit of explaining.

Opposite for me. I just received my Straight Stick 3-15-2024 and for the love of God, I can't get the magnetic ring to slide down to the bottom hosel. I must have a detective magnet / metal adapter. 🙄 I'll be sending mine back next week. 🤷‍♂

Thanks for this! Got one but the knob on the bottom hurts the heel of my hand. Any thoughts why?

the problem is once you buy this product, (not cheap), they have your phone and email and they will bombard you with calls and emails that you never want. Free return? if you learn that it does not do what is advertised and want to return it, they will give you a good runaround! I had this one and I can swing way inside out or way outside in and it still clicks. You paid a lot of money for just a molding grip everything else about this training aid is gimmicky

Your reviews has too much filler dialog. "let me tell you what I like and don't like about the club." "here is what like about the club" "the first thing I like about the club is...."
