My wife has the same laptop and has been sitting for a couples years now. Saw your video and was able to replace the acreen with ease and my wife is veey happy.Thankxx beother this video was perfect!!
Came across this very good video and loved how you explained everything. Question, my HP laptop is barely a year old and exactly the same as this one. Just this week when I opened the screen, it began to flicker. If I moved it, it would go black. Then I realized that if the screen was moved to a certain position, it would stay clear. Would you say these symptoms show a bad display cable? Or is the screen bad? I am suspecting a bad display cable. I dismantled the laptop but stopped short of removing the cable from the screen end because I couldn't find a video showing how to do this. Any hints or advice would be most welcome. I have since reassembled the laptop and it works if I put the screen in a particular angle. This is annoying, would like a permanent fix. This is the part number for the cable "hp display panel cable l63615-001".......If you have a link on ebay or Amazon, could you post it here? Thanks and keep up the good work 👍🏽
Hi, I was wondering if you could techme how to repair my laptop, Wich is the same as this one, but my laptop stop working doesn't turn on but one led yes. And I plugged in and kept changing but the screen is not showing images
I can do this! Paying $99 just to have someone tell me I need a new screen and turn around and charge another $150 plus parts is nuts. This is so simple! Thanks for the video. I have the same laptop and my cat jumped on it when my headphones were sitting on the keyboard and the screen was part closed. It cracked it. 😢
I know this video was very informative plus recorded/posted two years but hopefully you will respond to my question. How can I remove the screen if the adhesive tape is broken or unable to find one?
Thank you for the video. HP tried to charge me $500 for a repair. I said forget that. How much for the screen so I can fix it myself. They charged me $200. Even that was at least 2x too much. They're scoundrels.
