I have been picking up AI lenses on your recommendation..(105mm f4, 135mm f2.8, 18mm f4, 35mm f2.8... all nikon) Just wondering if I need the AI versions as I am using them with an adapter on my Panisonic GH2 and 3 Are the non AI lenses the same quality as the AI ones?
Yo Mr Angry. I'm looking to get a used xt1 as the prices have gone super low from what they were a month ago. Could you recommend any nikon mount 35mmish equivalent manual focus primes? I shoot a lot of night street photography.
+Theoria Apophasis Hey man thanks for the response. Apologies I don't think I explained my self very well😨 Im look for a recommendation on a nikon mount manual prime that gives me a 35mm field of view on the xt1's APSC size sensor Such as a 24mm.
Which old Nikon wide-angle primes do you recommend to complement the 50, 100, and 200? Great post. I owned the series e 70-150 zoom and it rocked. Heavy as an elephant though.
hai, I see you use a lot of nikon old lens. what do you think about cankn fd lens on fuji? I already got canon fd 200mm and 50mm in really mint condition, and I am thinking about buying a xt10 body. is it worth to buy adapter for fd to fuji?
I bought the 100mm Series E and I absolutely love it! It had cleaning steaks on the surface but cleaning it up with distilled water made it almost like new! very happy with the purchase.
love your reviews! very informative and elaborate, wish to see more! BTW, I am looking to grab a lens (or lens + adapter) for macro shooting use, on my XT1, what will you recommend?
I guess that lens is going to be great but also expensive:( not a serious macro shooter, just for fun and don't want spend too much on it. I ve looked into the nikkor lenses you mentioned, just not sure what to get since I have zero experience with them. Any good ones for macro use? Also to make it easy, I ve got a 35mm f2, 90mm f2, and a samyang 12mm f2 for my xt1, is any of them gonna work well with the fuji macro adaptor? if so, which one between the 11 and 16?
sorry if out of context, haven't seen this vid yet. I just bought a Meyer G. optik 200mm f4 (m42) for my Fuji Xt10. Should come by mail this week. It doesn't have a tripod collar neither does my m42 adaptor. Weighing ca. 600 gram. Can the Xt10 mount carry the lense if I mount it to a tripod? Thanks Ken, love your work.
Can my Fuji XT10 hold a 600 gram lense on a tripod., without daming the mount? The lense no Tripod Collar. I dont have a tripod collar on my M42 adaptor either. It's a Meyer G. optik 200mm f4. Thanks, love the channel Ken !
He said that the 50mm D lens was too loose,I had the same issues with a 35-70mm lens on my Nikon FM2n camera, sorted out with a broad rubber band over the focus ring and lens body, works a treat.
I have the xt10 with the 18-55 and the 55-200... I have an adapter so I can use my old Pentax lenses (50mm, 24mm, and 135mm)... should i bother getting an adapter to use my bronica zenzanon lenses on my Fuji?
I use some medium format lenses on my dlsr and they look fantastic. I know they have speedboosters to get more speed / reduce focal length of dslr lenses on mirrorless cameras. I wonder if they'll ever do something like that with medium format lenses on dslr.
+King Game Review see matt grangers latest video, happens to talk about a company who's making a MF to FF speedbooster should be out in a few months. Can't get the link right now so you'll have to go find it on his latest video.
I have a Fuji X-T10 with XF18-55mm. Also I have several old Nikon lenses on my Nikon F2Sb: - 50 mm f1.4, I do not know if pre AI or AI - 24mm f2.8 pre AI - P Nikkor 105 mm f2.5 - 75-150mm f / 3.5 (Series E) - Zoom 80-200mm f4.5 Rokina I have a Kiwifotos converter, which can be used with the zoom 75-150 of Series E, I use a fully manual system with good results. But I see that is not compatible with my other lenses. I would appreciate information on converters required to use the other lenses in my X-T10.
+Theoria Apophasis Indeed, you're right. Lighter I managed to connect the old Nikon lenses with the recommended adapter. The excitement of re-using these lenses that bought it about 40 years ago, prevented me get to the first. Thank you very much for showing us your videos, your considerations and experiences.
Aren't there any 85mm .14 ais thats good? (atleast better than samyang) I really love doing full body shots outdoors at F1.4 . Ps: I hate you... "Get the 50mm 1.2" weeks later "Dont get the 50mm 1.2" AFTER I purchased it... Awsome lens btw and yeah its fuzzy at 1.2, more for artistic look I guess. If I ever find that pancake 50mm, I might buy it cause this one is really heavy... kinda beats the purpose of switching to mirrorless xD
I live in japan but I can't find the 50mm E series 1.8, but as I searched on the internet I found tons of Ai lenses (that doesn't seem like the D series) that have a silver ring around them My question is are these the same lenses of different version, or are they different lenses altogether? And since nikon has so many generations of lenses, can you list out all the different types of nikon lenses out there?

Thanks for the helpful vids as always. Have you ever used a speed booster with your Fuji cameras, and if so, to what success? Thanks again.

hey man, would you recommend the Nikon Nikkor-O Auto 35mm f2 for using
with a speedbooster on a fuji?
speed boosters are pure evil

id wait few more months for the 80mm fuji macro :P honestly a used 60mm is incredible, got 2 of em :) it is however noisy and slow
I guess that lens is going to be great but also expensive:( not a serious macro shooter, just for fun and don't want spend too much on it. I ve looked into the nikkor lenses you mentioned, just not sure what to get since I have zero experience with them. Any good ones for macro use?

The FD 50 3.5 macro is soooo nice!!
Would most of your recommended lenses be good on the Fuji? i.e. Nikkor 60mm, Tokina 100mm, etc?
damn i been subbed to you for a year now...time flies
Any substitute of the 10-24 fuji with better aperture?

Are there any adapters for Fuji body's to Nikon lenses that supports auto focus?
Can my Fuji XT10 hold a 600 gram lense on a tripod., without daming the mount?

+Photography Rant heheh, good question, ive never used that adapter :)
+Theoria Apophasis it would look funny but I love the zenzanon glass.
