How is it possible that I am hearing this for the first time today in 2024?? I have been a huge fan of Barry Gibb and Roy Orbison for over 50 years. What a gift this was. Beautiful!
I was told the story of when at the 1982 Grammys - the year Barry sang the duet with Barbara Streisand - later than night the Gatlin Bros went to Barry Gibbs's suite at the NY Hilton and they sat around singing old Bee Gee/Gatlin songs and others oldies. Rudy Gatlin missed being there as he had taken a friend to dinner. This was the initial connection. Then around 1984 Larry went to Barry's place in Florida where they wrote Indian Summer together. When singing one of the lines Barry commented, "this would be a great song for Roy Orbison". Larry said, "well let's call him, I've got his number!". And the rest is history - and this amazing video with some of the best voices ever recorded, and a beautifully written song by Barry Gibb and Larry Gatlin. With nearly 6 million views, I think many agree.

Hi Victor, Thanks so much for your comments. I agree - this song is one of the very best. By the way, since you're in Australia, do you know my buddy Rick Price? Are you familiar with his music?
Thanks for your incredible support and love towards our music from long ago 💐💞 we made it to the top because of you our lovely fans and I hope you have enjoyed every bit of it. May God bless you 🌹🌹. Have you been to our music concert?
Cant agree more! Barry Gibb has a GOD GIVEN GIFT for writing songs! After each of his brothers deaths, when most of us would be crying on the floor, Barry writes amazingly beautiful tributes to each of them! Check out Barry Gibbs 2014 concert in Chicago. It is music, pics of his fam, and his kids & niece playing and singing with him.
The harmony in this song is absolutely great! Roy Orbison has such stand out and brilliant vocals! But what a great song and all singers made it superb!
I agree!!! I really enjoyed this song and presentation by great talent. Barry Gibb needs to be happy- he wrote a lovely song with great harmonies and a lot of tenor tones sung with some of the best singers and they're having a relaxed wonderful time- wished making beautiful music with heavenly tones didn't have to end. Thank you for sharing this Web Twinkle!
It's always a dream come true for humble songwriters to hear their composed songs come to life from the artists they intended it for, while they were creating them. Barry & his brothers, as gifted as they are, with awesome & unique vocals & harmonies, considered themselves foremost, as SONGWRITERS. Pretty cool!
HAUNTING!!! Simply brilliant! This song could not have been released in Australia or I would know it. I cannot resist playing it every single day. Magical voices all of them.

I've just begun to rediscover the BeeGee music. So, many ive never heard before to include this one. What a talented group. Wonderful, soulful, delightfully original. Barry always looks so happy, smiles. He and his brothers have a legacy of great and meaningful classics. Alone, I will...So many too count. Thank you for bringing this out again 40 years later. Still relevant and wonderful.
A chance to sing with Roy Orbison. That was a real treat, honor. Barry obviously was loving his opportunity. A great song, a great combination of voices. Getting to watch them record is also a great experience. Thanks Web. Ya did good.
Not just you, Carol--I'm nearly 73 and I missed it, too. I'm a big Orbison fan, and this is the best song I've ever heard with him. These guys nailed the harmonies, and their high notes are incredible.
This was fantastic!. How on earth could I outof23 people give it a thumbs down!!? Man Roy Orbison 's voice sure held up in his older years. My only complaint is I wish Barry had a bigger part
@@rakshitapadmajitweerakkody8350 he also sang the small part right here 3:27 even though the video shows the other guy singing you can hear it is Barry's voice for that short part.
Darn, that was so awe inspiring! Those voices are all just outstanding! And man, can Barry write amazing music!! Its like he is watching 'his baby' with pride and love as they bring his song to life. As for Roy Orbison - its totally amazing his voice is still soooo rich and vibrant at his age. I am amazed at this beauty of this song.
As a big fan of the Big O it is my opinion that his voice actually got better as he aged. No doubt it would have eventually faded if he had lived, but at the time he died it was in amazing shape.
What do you mean with "at his age"? Roy was only 49 when this was recorded and filmed. He always looked older than he really was. Sadly he died 3 years later at the age of 52.
One of the most wonderful days of my life was when I discovered this treasure by these incredible performers. I never tire of playing-and re-playing- this! ❤️🥰🥳❤️
Never heard of the Gatlin bros... but will certainly swot up on them , absolutely love this song...Barry Gibb is an extraordinary writer, this is a little gem...

I waited more than 30 years to be reunited with the love of my life, then lost her to cancer within a year. This song brings back such lovely memories. For you Debs.
"In 1990, Colin Escott wrote an introduction to Orbison's biography published in a CD box set: "Orbison was the master of compression. Working the singles era, he could relate a short story, or establish a mood in under three minutes. If you think that's easy-try it. His greatest recordings were quite simply perfect; not a word or note surplus to intention" His was a music that comes around once in a person's lifetime. I'm so glad it came around in mine. Still in love with his music after all these years - I'm 77!
Fantastic voices, great musicians. Roy Orbison, the best voice in the world and the most sentimental man. Barry Gibb, the brain of a wonderful songs and the man with sweet compositions. The Gattlin Brothers with the great Larry's voice, fantastic. I love this song.

Huge Roy Orbison fan since i was a girl. Now 81. Hes wonderful. Love Barry and the Gatlin Bros on this. Beautiful!!!!
I'm 18. Been listening to him for years. His voice is timeless ❤️🩷
I've always loved Roy Orbison too. And the Bee Gees.. and The Gatlin Brothers. Barry and Larry Gatlin really hit the mark when the wrote this together at Barry's place in Florida.
God ,I adore Barry Gibb. What an amazing beautiful talented human being
He’s incredible, really.
This was perfect and an example of what professional vocalist at the top of their game can produce. The video was great because it showed that they had put egos aside and were having a great time making great music together.
Wow! Where has this been hidden? So much talent, love and respect there. I can't stop playing it.
One of the best songs I’ve ever heard., and I’m 72. Great tune, great voices and wonderful words and harmonies. Victor from Australia.
Hi Victor, Thanks so much for your comments. I agree - this song is one of the very best. By the way, since you're in Australia, do you know my buddy Rick Price? Are you familiar with his music?
I listen to this amazing song over and over again....the harmonising, the vocals, the song....total brilliance!!!!
I have listened again and totally enjoyed!!!
This is the most beautiful song EVER‼️‼️‼️‼️
Hello Marie where are you from?
Could have been a number one hit. One of the most beautiful songs ever.
Hello there, how are you doing,i hope your okay??
Just came across this and now I can’t stop playing it. Roy could sure reach those high notes. Didn’t know Larry and Barry wrote it.
I'm the same love this song
Does anyone know the lyrics to this beautiful song?
@@katt9432 There are three karaoke videos about this song and performance
Everything Barry does ends in Perfection 😍 APLAUSES.
Thanks for your incredible support and love towards our music from long ago 💐💞 we made it to the top because of you our lovely fans and I hope you have enjoyed every bit of it. May God bless you 🌹🌹. Have you been to our music concert?
The notes that Orbison can hit in normal voice are ethereal!
Barry Gibb has an ability to write songs that are perfect for the respective singer.
Great song and some of the greatest artists😘
@Robin Setty
Indeed, a wonderful writer. He and Larry Gatlin co-wrote this one ('Indian Summer').
Robin Setty you're so right! Barry said it's a bit like a film director writing a specific subject having a specific actor in mind.
I have often said that Barry Gibb is a genius and this is another example of his wonderful work.
Wahnsinnig schön 😍 und wundervolle Stimmen❣️
Dankeschön 🙏🌹
The harmony in this song is absolutely great! Roy Orbison has such stand out and brilliant vocals! But what a great song and all singers made it superb!
ROY ORBISON would make any song sound brilliant.
Blue roses by pam tillis
Never ever will be another Roy
Danny Moore
Larry Gatlin has one of the best voices EVER. What a brilliant falsetto. All these guys sound brilliant together. Why was this song never number 1
Gatlin is nowhere near Roy for good vocals 🤗
Alors, c’est Aujourd’hui!…..Le Bonheur,,,,,Payez vs La Christ de Traités…..
Holà Angela!….Je vs. apprécie!….SiSi😢
Goed nummer
This is great. Roy Orbison, Barry Gibb and the Gatlin Brothers. Barry looks so happy.
@Scott Kasaboski
Scott,
Are you Wayne Kasaboski's son? Wayne Kasaboski, from Roswell, New Mexico.
First you listen ... then you watch them sing ... then you read the lyrics as they sing ... the whole package ...
I can't stop watching this video! I love this song!
I'm addicted!
I appreciate your great love and support you show me as a special fan of mine🌹🌹. I hope you won't stop listening to our music, and thanks for your sincere

Yes im addicted too ,, want to play always👌❤️
I am hearing this song for the first time,, beautiful group of talented singers,,,,❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Listen to that 'Moonlight' note that Roy Orbison reaches, incredible ! ! !
omg!
A chance to sing with Roy Orbison. That was a real treat, honor. Barry obviously was loving his opportunity. A great song, a great combination of voices. Getting to watch them record is also a great experience. Thanks Web. Ya did good.
Beautiful ! - what voices - and my much loved Roy Orbison!
I must have been very lucky today to find this treasure of my life. Simply incredable ...
Larry's voice is also superb!! His falsetto is gorgeous!!!! Love this song and can't seem to get it out of my head!!!!!
I posted the above a year ago and I still LOVE IT!!!
I agree with you Patti
Another song is by O'Donnell & Dunn "Hear the Bluebirds Sing"
His name is Barry not Larry he is the only one left all his brothers are deceased r i p
@@georgeking2369 she indeed meant Larry Gatlin, the one who sang the first verse.
He didn't sing in this, did he?
@@sabbadabba Barry Gibb - AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ Susan Berlin. A few small falsetto parts in the background
Agree. It's always a great pleasure to hear Barry, my fav ever ❤️
@@rakshitapadmajitweerakkody8350 he also sang the small part right here 3:27 even though the video shows the other guy singing you can hear it is Barry's voice for that short part.
"Oh what I'd give to relive Indian Summers with you!" Can't stop playing this.
Beautiful stunning, perfection, the best, can’t get any better, Roy still is the best, a Legend, Roy your voice, unforgettable ❤️❤️
One PERFECT voice after another...what an absolute BLEND OF PERFECTION! Thank You Gentlemen!
Simply beautiful! Fantastic voices and harmony.
Love this song as a rule i only listen to Elvis BUT this song just gets you in the heart love it good work boys
As a big fan of the Big O it is my opinion that his voice actually got better as he aged. No doubt it would have eventually faded if he had lived, but at the time he died it was in amazing shape.
So beautiful song ❤️❤️
What do you mean with "at his age"? Roy was only 49 when this was recorded and filmed. He always looked older than he really was. Sadly he died 3 years later at the age of 52.
One of the most wonderful days of my life was when I discovered this treasure by these incredible performers. I never tire of playing-and re-playing- this! ❤️🥰🥳❤️
It almost " spiritual " or is ?
Die fantastischste Entdeckung.🎹🎵🎼
Never heard of the Gatlin bros... but will certainly swot up on them , absolutely love this song...Barry Gibb is an extraordinary writer, this is a little gem...
One of the best songs ever. Love Gatlin brothers, Roy, and Barry oh wow, he can write and sing anything. ❤️❤️❤️
Barry is really a God's gifted man. A masterpiece.
Hello there, how are you doing,i hope your okay??
This is so lovely! God bless you Roy, you'll always be a special singer to me, rest in peace
My grandmother was born in 1891 and loved Roy Orbison's voice...extra octave
AMAZING!! I watch this ever day. There is no one who can sing like Orbison. They all are wonderful!! Great job Larry and Barry writing this wonderful song. It is my favorite thus far!! Thank you to the person on facebook that sent this to me. Totally a treasure!!
I have to say this is so wonderful and should have got an award. Such outstanding talented musicians!
This song with out doubt has the best harmony I have every been inspired by , the song just touches my inner being It is just brilliant
What a polished performance. Artist's who can really sing. Truly magnificent.
C est vrai! De sacrés artistes, des voix sublimes , je l écoute souvent, j adore la vois des deux chanteurs et de Barry bien sûr !
Look at the talent in this room was it is totally priceless . Never to be duplicated again ever
So lovely!

Can’t get that song out of my head, nor do I want to.
Awesome just Awesome 👏👏👏💕💕
Hey Ruth, yep I know the feeling, I am back everyday listening to this fabulous song!!
Just wonderful. NOTHING today can compare with this!!!
His greatest recordings were quite simply perfect; not a word or note surplus to intention"
His was a music that comes around once in a person's lifetime. I'm so glad it came around in mine. Still in love with his music after all these years - I'm 77!
I agree with you. It must be incredible to come face with your idol; I'm glad Barry got that chance before Roy left us.
Fantastic voices, great musicians. Roy Orbison, the best voice in the world and the most sentimental man. Barry Gibb, the brain of a wonderful songs and the man with sweet compositions. The Gattlin Brothers with the great Larry's voice, fantastic. I love this song.
