I love all of the "anime accuracy" model kits Bandai has been doing this year for Gunpla's 40th anniversary. To me, thats exactly what I want in my model kits. So great to truly be able to do the Char kick and in a HG no less! Fantastic celebration even with the virus situation going around the world.
I feel like one of the few people in the world who actually like these less-detailed HG offerings - at least, the ones that don't go too far into the 'animation-accurate' hole that they start emulating even what were animation errors and limitations. At least for the 'Revive' versions of First Gundam suits, I like how they're adapting more modern design sensibilities into them, like better proportions and some, but not all of the additional detail that stuff like Origin has introduced.
I will say I do like the reasonably Anime accurate Gunpla. But the HG origin Zaku's were quite impressive. Having said that I do kinda want this kit cause, well, it looks awesome.
I prefer less panel lines and details as too much actually overpowers the suits original design. Yes and less is more for me too. Even when I design my own models for 3d printing I prefer simpler design cues on a mobile suit. If you need to use too much panel lines and add to many bits then your trying to overcome sate. There's real beauty in simplicity
I dont really care about the lack of surface detail for the most part. However, I'm extremely disappointed bandai has stopped including raised detail for the mono-eye

I just bought this kit and it should be here tomorrow! I always watch your videos, even repeat them several times especially when I know I have the same kit on the way. Kinda keeps me pumped!
A full adaptation of the Origin manga is still very much a possibility so we would probably get the origin GM around half way through that (Jaburo happens earlier in origin) and if they really need that pointless P-Bandai recolour there's always the Sayla custom.
I think a GM derived from the HG Revive RX-78-2 would be the most 'realistic' option - though Bandai deciding to just make a whole brand-new GM design would certainly surprise me.
@@thestranger2282 jesus fuck bandai, here, I've found someone else who does think the same way as me in regards to just using the revive rx 78 2 mold for the revive GM everyone's been asking for like atleast half a decade

Gonna get this kit when it arrives at my local shops. I don't know why I like this rather than the origin, I think the colour of this kit is brighter comparerd to the origin which isI like. Also, the head part is more noticeable, and plus the articulation is very good. Even though the detail is not much, but neat and clean kit is not bad at all.

ZZ Gundam is my favorite, followed by Heavyarms Custom, then Gouf and then Gelgoog. Seeing that Zaku finally gets a revive, I am hoping Gelgoog will be next. Yeah, my Origin Zaku has that issue (it might be the same gun). I just filed down the side of the stock that faces the arm so the Zaku could hold it normally.

I'm hoping for an 08th MS Team styled Zaku with the dark green shield with the spikes on it and the top of the foot being black. I'm also looking forward to a (hopeful) Garma and Dozel Zabi release.
