J ust got my Kemei 993, wow, great construction. Can't believe this costs so cheap. When i do a full head self bald cut with Kemei 2293 should i cut with the tip side or with the flat side? What is the difference? better go against the grain or with the grain or both?
The two screws on the moving blade are how you zero gap it. Zero gap just refers to being able to adjust the placement of the moving blade. Everyone’s zero gap is different it’s all preference. You do not want the moving blade placed even with the non moving blade you will strike blood.

I32s is complete junk compared to to the 2293 and yes I’m still using it everyday as my man trimmer absolutely in love with it and actually though when ordering it would be junk but it’s great

In your experience, does Kemei km-2293 give a clean shaven look and is comfortable to use on face and neck ? What do you think about km-1855 ? Awesome glad it was helpful. That’s oil for the blade just use a couple drops on each sides of the blade where they rub together… helps to do it when it’s on to move the oil where it needs to be then whip excess .. you do this when you feel your blade is dry or getting hot fast usually after cleaning it really well. Helps also prevent faster wear and rusting of the blade

There are dry shaving trimmers like Kemei km-2351and km-2350 but these are out of my budget. I was thinking if I could put another less costly blade on Kemei 2293 but not sure which kemei or babyliss replica blade will fit.

However is there any precautions you would like to share while using it ? The kemei km-i32 blade is not that sharp but I doubt that trimmer or it's blade lasts very long.
WTF is up with babyliss blades now???? Their quality control has gone down and they are still around 50 dollars...... had to get a whetstone in order to get rid of that roughness you mentioned on 3 of mine all new smfh

My TPOB XO trimmer blade was the same and I tried on a wet stone as well then had my brother who has become like an expert in blade honing and it was just to much of a mission so I just avoid them all together now. I can get a TPOB psycho blade but no one anywhere can tell me if I need to re use the kemei cutter cause if so then that won't work either cause I broke the cutter and blade when I dropped it. Might just have to buy a whole new one. Would you recommend the VGR 006 or still the 2293?

I might just get a new one since the TPob pyscho blade is like 3 dollars less then the a whole new trimmer. I'm not a barber so I don't know anything about it. But you obviously do so I was curious do blade swaps make that much of a difference or you think the stock blade is plenty good especially for someone like me who just uses it for myself. Leaning towards just getting a whole new trimmer.
@ my experience with TPOB and babyliss blades were not good the factory on the 2293 is amazing in my opinion.. and if you order it on AliExpress I think it’s like $23 bucks or so.
I have done absolutely nothing but adjust it to my zero gap preference and still have been using it as my only trimmer everyday. It’s not the most quiet or nice looking but this is my favorite right now
It cuts nice and close and cutting skin or not is based on how zero gapped your blade is and the angle you hold it at .. but they cut excellent just don’t expect bald from any trimmer .. they are not shaver.. I’d describe it as a very close 5 o’clock shadow.. I use them when doing skin fades to take the hair down then use a shaver to get to bald I love them

Yes the Kemei is louder but cuts over all better and the blade is adjustable.. as far as replacing blades I haven’t run into a problem to have to look but as soon as I find some info I will relay the message 🦾💈🚌

I’ve always used the Andis double foil shaver .. I tried the Andis resurge I liked it at first but I feel like it gets dull faster and always would go back to the original double foil. I also use a TPOB mini skull shave but only for the hard to get spots. I’m definitely interested in finding something stronger and has foil and blades that last longer .. but I like being able to pick up replacements local if mine breaks.

You can’t go wrong they are top notch at that price point and for self cutting you won’t need to swap anything just might want premium guards. 🦾🚌💈

Yes it does exactly on sensitive skin and the blade that it comes with is better than babyliss in my opinion

How did you zero gap it bro
It can be zero gapped without removing the blade if you have the right tool but mine came perfect out the box I have not had to touch the blade

@@amirprog 2293 yes … I like foil shavers is what I use on my clients I feel it gets the closest shave with the least irritation for most

It’s interchangeable with babyliss and TPOB xo .. as far as guard barbers don’t use guards on our trimmers so I’m not sure if they have other sizes

No. I have not seen a professional style trimmer that is water proof but that would be nice to see in the future

Zero gap is arbitrary all personal preference. But yes it can be adjusted and dialed in your zero gap preference.
