I had the honor of meeting and spending time with Nadine today after she spoke at the conference I am attending in Los Angeles, Calif. It was the best and most inspiring 15 minutes of my life. Thank you.
I saw this live and cried my eyes out. Thought I would be stronger this time around. Nope. Crying and laughing all at the same time. Nadine Champion inspires me to be brave.
What a privilege to get to meet Nadine in person, reached this speech. Very inspirational. So grateful that my daughter was able to listen to her speech today. I will come back to this talk when I feel my fear might be stopping from challenge. Thank you Nadine.
I dont know this woman. But her speech really a great motivation. Everyone has their fears, but sometimes there are fears that you must faced to be able to be better person. This is a great advice for conquering your fear
I was actually watching this talk when I was lacking the courage, facing some serious anxiety and didn't believe I'd ever, ever be able to do it when prepping for mine 😭
beeing a martial arts studend myself i know what she was talking about and am crying tears of gratefulness right now - this was more a teaching lesson (heart to heart) than talk omg what an epic moving demonstration i bow before you ms. champion
I've loved Ted talks for years, and watched a lot of them, so many so I have to look for ones I've not watched before. This was the BEST Ted talk that I ever watch, for so many reasons. Now, I did do "the art of boxing" it was offered at a local gym (more exercise, and no real fighting) so I get her point of being "in the moment" when you are in the ring. But the message is not about fighting, it was 'COURAGE" AND THE MESSAGE WAS AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL, everything worked in this speech. This lady is what I would call the "dream'" life coach. I hope I can hold dear the message of : 10 seconds of courage.
Great speech and personal story. You are an example of someone who has fear and doubt, but have the courage to make it work. This is a true warrior mentality.
I watched this 3 weeks ago when I needed courage to put myself up for a work opportunity. Thank you Nadine. I got what I wanted but now that opportunity requires me to put myself up even more often. I need more courage so I come back and watch it again. Thank you for sharing your experience and becoming my source of courage.
I have just finished reading youre book 10 seconds of courage and then searched for this TEDx talk...both the book and this talk brought me to tears...amazing story and I'm so glad I randomly pick up your book...
To the being that helped you to connect with yourself in such a way; to you for going to such a place. Cheers. THANK you for sharing such a powerful piece.... The slice of doing it anyways at the end was truly touching. The moment with board- you out in the open in such a way- as if you broke the board before your had went right through.
Great talk, love your story, Benny is a name I have not heard in years, you are lucky to have had him train you, sounds like a great teacher. Great point about not turning away, your one tough woman, far tougher than I. Clean through, just as I knew you would. Anyone that can beat cancer, 1 inch of pine is nothing with that mindset!
Thank you so much for this video, it has inspired me and truly touched my heart. I’m recovering from an anxiety disorder and this has given me the courage to be brave and change my thinking. I put up my hand and also cried with you ❤️ I hope this video becomes viral and can help many others xxxx
YUP - I am crying !!!! Such a necessary and surprise end to your TedTalk- I do know how you feel when it comes to being in the ring ( im not a World Champ) and I know dangerously and intimately all to well how the Street aspect of being attacked viciously feels and by multiple people. And the Bounce back. Especially after someone trying to stab me in the face at night! YOU were amazing and I appreciate your sincerity and sharing your win with over cancer! Coach T-
Nadine! You're amazing. As a seasoned judoka, I fully get you. As someone who's had more injuries and setbacks than all my mates put together, I get you. Just gotta reach your level. Thanks more than heaps for the inspiration...just gimme 10 secs :) (p.s. Aussie Ted Talks are so the best! lol)
Martial Arts has exploded in America lately. I fear the important aspects of the practice are not realised by the masses here yet hopefully its because people are in the early parts of the journey I hope these aspects are realised eventually it could save society as a whole the way it saved me and many others. I love Martial Arts オス
Brilliant talk but come on we know those wood things are just for show. They break really easily, it's a specific kind of wood. You could break it without having any martial arts experience.
"An undefeated fighter"?!?! What a joke. If she's never been beaten, she's never faced a fighter a her own caliber. Very, very few UFC fighters have a perfect record for the precise reason that they constantly face fighters on their own level.
Not inspirational at all as she thinks to be strong and brave means you have to enter the ring, face the battle, hurt others, injure others, win over others. Pathetic, the same attitude as most losers. She says her teacher was undefeated, that would be because he never fought. The only undefeated winners are those that do not have to fight in the first place and ensure all those around them win, even at their own expense.
+aus koala That's not what thinks it means to be strong and brave. You either didn't watch the video, didn't pay any attention to what she said, or simply can't comprehend the very explicit point that she's trying to get across about courage. In any event, shame on you for your negative, piss poor attitude.
+aus koala Oh, my word! You definitely missed the point on this one ... majorly! I'm sorry dude .. watch again and think about what causes you to completely miss the point. You've got some work to do on yourself.
+Ralph Julius I do not think so. I am happy with where I am, and I do not need to attack and fight others to feel I am valued. If you think martial arts makes you a better person, then go right ahead. Personally, I could not think of a better way to waste my life.
I had the honor of meeting and spending time with Nadine today after she spoke at the conference I am attending in Los Angeles, Calif. It was the best and most inspiring 15 minutes of my life.
Thank you.
What a woman! I've watched hundreds of TED talks, this one is definitely one of the bests! My eyes are still full of tears and I can't stop smiling!
That was amazing. I love her relaxed manner and her embodiment of what she talks about. God bless her with moonbeams on her path.
A grown man is crying. What a great presentation!
I saw this live and cried my eyes out. Thought I would be stronger this time around. Nope. Crying and laughing all at the same time. Nadine Champion inspires me to be brave.
Nadine, the 10 seconds of courage starts with a big breath & a little faith. 🙂TY Brave Lady for your strong insights.🧠💜
What a privilege to get to meet Nadine in person, reached this speech. Very inspirational. So grateful that my daughter was able to listen to her speech today. I will come back to this talk when I feel my fear might be stopping from challenge. Thank you Nadine.
I watch this whenever I feel like crap. Truly inspirational.
I dont know this woman. But her speech really a great motivation. Everyone has their fears, but sometimes there are fears that you must faced to be able to be better person. This is a great advice for conquering your fear

I was about to turn this off at the beginning. So glad I didn’t. One of the best Ted talks I have watched. My hand was in the air for her. 🥰

Wooooow. A wonderful woman, such a simple speech, but so powerful. Crying in the end.
Great speech and personal story. You are an example of someone who has fear and doubt, but have the courage to make it work. This is a true warrior mentality.
Absolutely brilliant talk. Cried and laughed through this when I saw it in Sydney and just did the same again. Well done Nadine on every level.
The book is amazing. An inspirational and brave woman.

censorship bites khabib, Dominic Reyes, Israel adesanya?
