Hey I wanted to tell you thank you for posting this video you made the install of my ipilot easier so thank you. You were the first video to pop up when I searched power drive I-Piolot conversion install.
I installed the kit but since mine is a 2011 I believe I had to get that plate you were talking about did the same steps you did and for some reason it’s not linking up?!
Outstanding video. I have a Minn Kota Powerdrive BT Electric-Steer Bow-Mount Trolling Motor with Digital Maximizer, 55 lbs Thrust, 54" Shaft on my Pontoon. Do you know what kit model you bought? My model is 1358737, because, a person from my group sent me a message. He said that he called the company and told me that Powerdrive is not always upgradable. Thank you for your help!
I bought a tracker pro guide boat from cabelas with a powerdrive trolling motor on it.. but I just called the people at cabelas and they said it isn’t capable of the I pilot upgrade
The problem is if you install it yourself there is no warranty. That's a $500 gamble. If it works Great! If not your ass out $500 bucks. I considered it. But no way.
If you were the original purchaser of the Powerdrive and you buy the upgrade kit from Minn Kota, the warranty would be good. Minn Kota states: "Our warranty does not cover a secondary purchase from any reseller or individual previous owner, no matter their length of ownership."

Wonder if you could splice the wires together for the pedal and the ipilot. And still have the pedal if you need if something happens with the remote.
i f@cking Love My Pro Guide
Are you happy with it now??
Do you need to upgrade from a 12 volt to a 24 volt system?
@@michellegresham2834 no, you do not

How long ago did you order this?
Back in March
Is this a power drive v1 or v2
V2 but I believe that you can get kit for a V1.

I understand completely, but it is very simple to install and is a great option to keep in mind.

how well does the spot lock work?
It works Phenomenal, it essentially turns your power drive into a Terrova.
It will also do cruise control, heading settings itracks and a few other functions but I have had great success with this kit.
Would be a good video if you could actually see wtf he’s doing smh
Yup.
