I'd just suggest packing a couple extra items to improvise an 'on-ground' setup for your hammock tent. I enjoy doing the hammock but unless I'm also taking a tent, I make a point of packing my sleep pad, a ground tarp and a rain fly. I've had to improvise a lean-to off the bike at least once. Enjoyed the vid!
I had a ground tarp just incase. Back in college I did outdoor leadership as a second major and spent time with Yosemite search and rescue. This was the weirdest camping setup I've ever had (more luxuries than I normally take). The nice thing about the haven is that sleeping pad "built in" is pretty thick. I think it would be okay for going to ground if necessary. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video! 😃
It could be, people have been feeding the squirrel, or it has just figured out how to get food from people and that's why it's so brave. Better be careful and don't leave your nuts exposed.
I started on a Vulcan S! Great bike. When the time is right you'll get back into it. It's a lot of fun and I'm definitely planning more trips like this soon!
@@MOTOBLADE Looking forward to it. I've thaugt abuot tring to make some videos myself, but I'm not quite there yet. i need to learn how to edit and not feel so dumb infront of the camera... ;)
@@voice79 I didn't start in front of it. I didn't show my face until I had been doing this for a couple years. I still feel dumb in front of the camera. You just gotta do it, try to have fun, and not care too much about what other people think. I take feedback from you guys all the time, it helps me a lot! But occasionally there are some real a**hole comments that people make or send me that just get deleted. There are always jerks out there. Just do what you want to do and screw the rest of them 😀As far as editing - RUclips is your friend to learn Adobe Premiere on PC or FCPX on Mac.
@@jamesoliver565 I just got back from another Vermont State Park this afternoon - filming another Motocamping video! This video was Lake Carmi state park. Try to guess where I filmed the next one!
Motoblade, I think the "new" Sportster S is butt UGLY! I personally won't put my money down to buy one myself. I'll stay looking at the 883, low-rider, or the Heritage Softail standard. I believe that your business ventures will come together wonderfully for you!😇👍🏍️ Doug
Have you guys ever been motocamping? Where are some of your favorite spots to go? I'd love to hear your suggestions in the comments!
Nice video. Loved the firewood issue, I was laughing.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, the firewood was not my finest moment 🤣
Great video! I really enjoyed it, looking forward to more!
Thanks!

Enjoy your video.
Thanks man!
I'd like a packing video. Where you show how you stow shit on your bike(s)...
Alright! I will do that!
Will you be giving out the specks on the hammock tent "weight, packed size" in your review?
I love the camping ambience sequence and the firewood was great 🤣 as soon as the first one went I knew it was coming 🤣🤣
Yeah, that was a slow motion disaster 🤣 Learned my lesson!
I looked at him taking off without tying the wood down, and I was like, this can't work, can it?
@@theodorstravels I'm not entirely sure why I thought it would work 🤷♂

I tried burying my nuts once for safekeeping. Didn't go well 🤣
I'd love to do a trip like this some day. Just have to sort out bike situation I got myself in... Had to sell my Vulcan S this year due to finace :(
