- Finally getting far outside the city for a moto camping trip! Come along as I ride from Philly to Maryland to meet up with Tim from NevermoreMoto and Jason from Ironbornrider to do some riding and camping. We'll ride through some great back roads of MD, do some exploring, and hang at the camp site.

The only time I went camping with my brother in law John was the Howard County Vietnam Veterans Reunion. He rode his Royal Star and I rode my 1200R.
I told him about a dream I'd had, where we were riding out of the Mojave Navajo Preserve on our way to Karen Carpenter's gravesite. It would have to wait until I retired. That was this April.
Sadly, John lost his battle with Agent Orange last November.
I thought about quitting riding. I felt guilty because I couldn't just up and go like he could. I told my bosses that if John said it was time to take a lap, I was gone whether they liked it ir not. Turns out that our drive to Beartooth Pass four years ago was that trip.
His wife and mine both told me that it wasn't my fault, that John understood. They both told me that the last thing he would want me to do was hang 'em up. So, I ride, in fact I rode from Pittsburgh to New Philadelphia, Ohio via US 22 and US 250.
But, I still see him in my mirrors, that wide-azz grin on his face. You see, Vietnam changed him, and when he was in the wind, he was free.
Looks like a good time. I haven’t been motocamping yet. I’m too much of a cream puff, my idea of camping is booking a room at the Marriott. Ride safe!
100% honesty. Novelty. Not as cool as when I was a kid. Now, as a grown ass man, a pimp room is WAY cooler!
Would definitely do it again. But also definitely might need a hotel for the next one.

I know it’s not controllable but DANG this cicadas were loud in my ear hahahaha. They have a certain pitch that makes me shiver hahah. Regardless this looked like a fun time man. I’ve never done anything like this but I’m open to it in the cooler months, won’t catch me out there in the summer haha.
I know man I was surprised how loud the bugs came through on camera lol. But yeah next trip probably hotels!

@@bigd4561 yeah just a gopro with the mic adapter into the purple panda mic from Amazon run inside the helmet. Got a full video on the set up back in my videos for the whole thing if you like to see it
