Raptors fan here, when I read the title "Mavs Fans Can't see Past Their Love for Luka", I immediately remember the Kawhi for DeRozen trade. The Raptors fan base was split, with one half wanting to boycott, cheering for the Raptors to lose, slander against Kawhi, and wanting Masai fired. I loved what Kawhi brought to the team and that season was my favourite, but the fan base was at it's worst. I hope the same won't happen in Dallas.

@@2wopeezandabong to be honest, Kawhi has been my favourite player ever since he won finals MVP w/ the Spurs in 2014, so I had that bias. But when he got traded to us I was mostly shocked but overjoyed. My favourite player, on my favourite team, and we finally had a real REAL shot of winnning for once, and we did. It really sucked that he left, but him leaving doesn't take away how special that season was.
