Ok sorry, I love my Tesla and I think Elon is ok but saying you don’t have to wear a seat belt is no where NEAR safety. That’s just straight up stoopid with 2 O’s
Yeah the idiot has never had to hard brake without getting in a wreck apparently 😂😂😂 good luck hard braking with no seat belts, that child is going through the windshield
Seatbelts were required long before airbags came along. With how Tesla’s airbags are design to engulf the occupant, we can see how it might not be necessary to have that extra restraint from a seatbelt. But there could still be cases that haven’t been accounted for or if the airbag failed to deploy, so it’s still a good idea to always have a seatbelt on to be extra safe.
I don't know what other EVs you have looked into, but it doesn't seem very thorough. I have pretty extensive first hand experience exploring EVs from a variety of auto-manufacturers, and while the size of most frunks is commonly very small, the majority of electric vehicles definitely _do_ possess frunks. EV6, IONIQ 5, Polestar 2, Mach-E, Hummer EV, R1S, and F-150 Lightning all have frunks - just to name a few common electric automobiles not manufactured by Tesla. While Tesla definitely catalysed and inspired this ubiquitous EV trend, they are not the only one to do it.
The Model X is probably the only 3 row SUV without curtain airbags for the third row passengers. Ironic. But the rest of that airbag stuff is really cool!
Very cool video. I never took the time to watch Joe Rogan’s Elon interview and I’m glad I could for a little bit in your video. Keep up the good work of finding neat topics like that !
2:44 The data clearly shows that collisions typically occur around the center of the vehicle, and the tests occur on the finges of the data. So why then do you cut right to a clip of tesla doing the exact same thing as the NHTSA? tesla directly contracdicts the argument YOU made about NHTSA flaws by doing the exact same thing, yet its meant to be good when tesla does it? You made it seem like the NHTSA is not testing for T-bones and that our kids arent safe if hit, only to demonstrate tesla doing exactly tha.
model 3 performance goes from 70-0 mph in 147 feet. model s plaid goes from 70-0 mph in 141 feet. porsche gt3 rs goes from 70-0 mph in 128 feet. taycan turbo s goes from 60-0 mph in 103 feet (very similar to model s plaid)
@@douglasolsson7768 Well, the avoidance features you talk about surely help about 50 60 percent of accidents. But, accidents do happen with every vehicle. Teslas are no exception here. Safety doesn't mean having a bigfer stick than the other. Meaning safety isn't being damaged less than the one on the other end. Even cybertrucks have had accidents. The cybertruck has zero concern for pedestrian safety. So, yeah, it's a bit counterintuitive saying safety is the primary priority when you crash into a pedestrian and instantly cut them in half.
@@farhankhatri4937 Gee I wonder if all pickups can cut someone in half? Yes, in fact they can. Tesla has much better accident avoidance features than any other manufacturer. There have been many cases where someone has stepped on the wrong pedal in a gas car and hit someone or drove into a building. Tesla has many cases where Sudden Accidental Acceleration has been stopped AND recorded.
How the hell did Tesla go from being the safest car to be in a wreck in, To the damn cyber truck? That thing is a coffin on wheels but hey at least you’ll look like a tool while you perish !

How can you say Tesla is better then Volvo in a video that YOU CAN SEE BY YOURSELF the fact that the Volvo was intended to be thrown like that on the road, not on the sand.
I talk to a lot of people about EVs and it’s amazing how many people say they wouldn’t buy a Tesla because they don’t agree with Elon’s politics but don’t care at all about reducing the chances of killing somebody or helping a company that is pulling the industry along in EVs and renewables. They think they’re such good people for basing their purchasing decisions on hate, but I think they’re morally corrupt.
There are many other EVs that are safe and I would definitely would want to be in a Volvo, Mercedes, Polestar, Toyota, etc. over than a Tesla. Yes, a Tesla is incredibly safe - but other cars also. I agree you shouldn‘t base your choice of what car to buy on politics (Musk has enoguh money anyways). But the thing with „reducing the chance to kill somebody“ just because you are driving a Tesla and not a other car is just incorrect (in an accident you yourself are much more likely to have lasting head injuries because of the g-forces lying in your head when you sit in an Tesla because it doesn’t deform and absorb energy that much). Also they did pull the industry along in EVs - but not anymore. Most companies realised they would need to sell EVs in the future and now, and they do - now they all come up with new inventions, inmovations, etc. Tesla doesn‘t really „pull the industry along“ anymore.
Didn't know airbag has so much to engineer, absolutely mind blown. Good work.

Tesla has frunk not because it is electric. Most of the EVs out there right now they don't have it. Tesla has a frunk because it packaged so nicely.

totally underrated video
I intern on the passive safety software team and this video is very accurate!

But the rest of that airbag stuff is really cool!
this should have more views
can you show me the data for the part of mostcommon accidents vs which are tested for
*Nice!* Thanks for the deep dive into the Tesla airbag. new sub.
Thanks! Much appreciated
@3:11 "Airbags are so good, it'll blow your mind" - Elon
More like.. so good it'll NOT blow your mind ;)
Great video how has so little subs! Hope he blows up, excellent quality
Do you have a link to the patents?
Just subscribed man. You make great content
Nice addition at the end of the recent FSD Beta "gutsy move" video. That was truly impressive.
The real-time reactions in the original video is great: ruclips.net/video/eHkpBhxUnug/видео.html
And yes, truly impressive.
In Vought we trust !
Very impressed
This was a great video, you need more subscribers man. You just gained one tho!😄
Haha appreciate it! 🙏
Completely underrated channel and video. Great content I js subbed.
Great content! Please check your audio though, there’s an insanity triggering coil wind noise.
still leaving cabin camera covered though
I hope to view more about what he said in the interview about airbag, but couldn't find the video, Can you point me out a direction?
That was bussin
You make a great case for Tesla to advertise. Keep up the good work.
Subscribed. Keep up the good work, man. More people need to know this stuff.
Much appreciated!

Sure thing - go ahead
@@VoltEquity Thank you very much
This video is well made and deserves more exposure.
what brand of air bag deployer does tesla use? takata? ARC? their own? thanks, great content!!
very informative video
Great video.
you deserve more subs
Elon saved my life I got into a car accident and the airbags was AMAZING
How do u only have 700 subs

Hmm, safety is number one, so their cars have insane acceleration, but they breaks suck. 🤔

No need for seat belts. Right...
Bro now I'm scared to get in my car like I'm so fucked without a Tesla
i like how elon said safety is tesla's primary design goal but their truck looks like it could easily kill a pedestrian if you hit one
Any vehicle could kill someone, but all Teslas have a lot more features to AVOID the accident.

2nd goal is fun. One could say that the Cybertruck IS a funny vehicle. I find it gorgeous!

Exactly. He just said if someone is not wearing one, they would probably still be fine but they should wear one regardless.

NHTSA testing shows that EVERY Tesla is safer in a crash than EVERY Volvo.

Safety is paramount but then he uses the phrase woke mind virus in a sentence and it’s hard to take him seriously
