Wish i had seen this video a month ago was thinking of this on my last project. Jist subbed
Ahhh your Use of x3 strips was EXACTLY THE TIP & TECHNIQUE I needed!!!! 🙏🙏🙏☯️ZenModeling☯️
Do you have to strip the chrome before doing this? What would happen if you do it over the original chrome?
Great tutorial now I don't have to worry about messed up chrome, I can strip it and BMF it.
Wow! That's alot of work. Very fine and meticulous. But well worth it in the end.I just wonder if I still have the ability in these old hands. I may have to resort to using flat-clear coat spray paint.
Hello Brian,Yes, bare metal foil can look more realistic. Bright shiny uniform chrome can seem out of place on a truck that has seen better days...
Good tutorial... Thanks !
Y strip the chrome to replace with bare metal foil? Just curious, does the foil look more realistic?
The only thing I would have added in the video, is the grade of steel wool. I'd imagine you used 0000.
3:35 - What grit of sandpaper did you use?
That's awesome!
Looks like made by alu, not chrome coated. But technique is really awesome)
It's better to paint with chrome paint than use bmf
