Usually I give myself 2 hours. I can acknowledge that rpg’s and larger games take more time to get into, but I believe the onus is on developers to make the game exciting within that timeframe all the same
@@Trench-coat I think that with rpgs, the driving factor behind me continuing to play the game has a lot more to do with the story and characters than gameplay. I’m willing to wait for fun and nuanced gameplay if, for example, a character like Jackie in cyberpunk 2077 is there alongside me
Just started Starfield (one year after its release, important point) and I only realized now, after playing the first 15 hours that I might as well go down the rabbit hole and I'm substantially hyped about it. Some games may need more patience than others to truly end up enjoying them. But I generally agree with your sentiment. Well done, great content. Watched your last Starfield video and this one: Insta sub!
Thanks so much for watching and for the sub. It’s much appreciated. Yeah Starfield is one of the strangest games for me. I did not like it at all on my first play-through - then on my new game plus it all kinda clicked for me. So it’s one of those games where this video is kinda irrelevant 😂 cause I hated Starfield at first but played it again and then ended up loving it. It’s definitely a game where you should role play and play how you want to play it. That’s when the game gets real good!
I definitely agree with your first point, buying Tears of the Kingdom made me feel an overwhelming sense of commitment to finishing it because of the steep $70 pricetag, but games that I got for free or for cheap have been sitting unfinished for years
Dude same 😂🙈 I have like a million free or discounted games that are just sitting there but knowing I paid full price for a video game makes me complete it 90% of the time lol…
Let me know down in the comments how often you actually finish a game?
If i didn't pay for game 1-2 hourus if i payed 1 playthrough
@@Nikolai-petrovićhaha thats the best way to handle it!! 😂

Fair enough! Do you think you accept that RPG’s are difficult at the start and don’t let that determine your opinion on the game to early?
