I think these are honestly a better version of the foam runner. They look much sleeker design wise imo and I think they’re more wearable than foam runners

I agree. Kanye needs some type of creative partner to reign in his designs sometimes IMO.
Adidas should just make Ye their creative director at this point instead of just blatantly ripping off his designs.

No one wants Ye as a creative director, LV went way out of their way to make Abloh theirs because they were advised to not appoint Ye to that role. I really hope he makes it big with his own Yeezy stores and that he makes shoes outside the Adidas contract

No debate really. Foam runners are mid imo
For sizing I've actually gone half size up because it fits like NMDs. I normally wear 7 but for NMD's that are size 7, despite it fits but the toe area feels a bit tight ish. For Yeezy's 1 size up for me. I'm glad I got 7.5 on these because it fits well without being too tight.
They should sell the interior with matching laces in different colorways that look great with that off white outer. That would be amazing !!! This would have been dope for Yeezy.
I just ordered the adifoam climacool white on white white orange soul on the mesh part. My wife says they look ugly but I think they look super dope and different. I can't wait to open them on Christmas and feel how soft they are ❤

I have two questions - is it possible to take out the inner shoe and walk around the city in it as a minimalist version of sneakers? and the second last question - will the foam of the exoskeleton allow you to use it as a beach shoe to enter the water or shower?
I know it's a crazy and extreme idea but... maybe it's possible without affecting the quality and life of the shoe?
I'm definitely picking a pair of these up. I love foams and think these look even better.

Just managed to get the last foam runners released at retail! After seeing your review on THESE… I want! They are awesome and do look A LOT like the FR. Also can’t wait for tomorrow’s sock drop! Been turning heads on the few I’ve purchased recently and def the most comfy socks I’ve worn yet!

I am in love these, close to perfect. My pair is coming soon, i hope it fits me. If i can change one thing it would be that “adiplus” text at the back heel part of sneaker.
Easy pick up in-store! Very comfortable but super big in the toe box area similar to the Foam runners in many ways.
I really dig how they look and like you said, how they played with the surface of the foam.
I find it also interesting that this year it seems every other brand is doing this foam+bootie shoes. Jordan has theirs, even Saucony has one. Curious how they weigh up to each other.

Hi I think you can see many brands doe this cause of sustainability reasons as well. I know there isn't a lot of sustainability in this shoe but the industry knows they have to change but can only doe this on a low skill level. This is also cause the industry isn't yet ready but the outer shells like this will be the easiest way to truly reuse material in a longer loop. So in my opinion they are not only interestet in making high profit with these kind of shoes but also to guide the consumers in to a certain direction to slowly accepting these kind of style. (Look at the future loop, it almost worked but the line isn't really available on the market since the machinery behind the process on a global scale can't even be chalanged by one of the biggest brand in the world like adidas)

As much as this shoe was partially inspired by a Yeezy foam runner, the removable bootie gives me Adidas Equipment vibes.
i picked up a pair on september 7th, so haven’t had them for long but it’s safe to say i’m gonna buy every color way. Sizing for me, i usually wear a 11.5 in most adidas shoes like ultraboost and nmds, Just like yeezy 350s for me i had to go up a half size for a better fit. That being said for most bigger people that have wider feet id definitely say go a half size up

Finally someone said it. I hear people keep saying go TTS because they are roomy but when I went to footlocker, I asked for a 10 and they only had a 10.5 and the 10.5 fit me perfect. Snug yet roomy and accommodate my wide ass foot lmao
I had the white ones in a size 11 at my house and had to send them back. Too small. I wear a size 11 in all my Nike and jordan shoes.
Now i have a black pair coming in in size 11.5. I hope that is big enough.
Same..I tried them on in Champs and I wear an 11(wide feet), but they felt too small. I ended up ordering a pair in a different color. Glad I got to try them in the store first. Most RUclips channels are saying tts.
Does the foam wrinkle at all? I’ve had this issue with the foam part of other shoes.
Finally got my hands on the all black pair & i must say omg super comfy sizing was kinda tricky but good thing i was able to try on in champs
IMO the hole in the bottom of the heel was a missed opportunity for a dual combo shoe / foam runner, but I guess that's where they drew the line to avoid backlash from Ye.
I have a pair of Foam Runners which I don't usually wear cause they scuff my ankles way too much if im not wearing THICK socks... the padding that comes with this ones are a super welcome addition to the foam shoe... I think this might be way better and more comfy than the FR, not too sure about a foam with laces though but Seth makes it sound that they blend pretty good together!. will deff look these ones up even if the summer is ending soon

@@xQuickhands pretty sure they aren't fake I mean, I mean they come from Adidas site. unless they sell fakes themselves. but I went true to size as everyone on RUclips claimed I should... they are the Sand model and they do scratch without socks... maybe sizing up would've worked, but there's no telling unless I get or try another.
Got myself a pair and let me tell you....this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Feels amazing 👏. I'm usually a size 13 but I had to get one size smaller size 12.. amazing shoe

I'll be honest. This shoe appeals to me more than the foam runner and I've had pairs of the Foam runners.
Definitely, inspired by Ye. But tbh all shoe brands have been doing takedown/budget models for a while. Nike does it all the time (Air Force 1/ Sky Force; Air Jordan 1/ Air Jordan KO; Air More Uptempo/ Air Much Uptempo, even Off White x Nike/ Blazer Jumbo and countless AF1 takedowns), adidas has just been put under the spotlight just because they have the biggest name collaborator calling it out.
I have no problem with this, his stuff will still sell out mostly. And for the most part having takedowns allows people who can't as afford to pay $200+ for one pair to have something similar. Sure these Adifom Q's are 120 v the foam runners 90 but most people are buying to resell for double.
Also, regardless of how angry he gets, he is still securing a bag of royalties.
Another good one to add is the af1/court vision, and the blazer/court legacy
The problem when it comes to Ye/Adidas isn't just the money, it's undercutting the YZY brand when Ye has consistently for years wanted more shoes made. They were supposed to open YZY Supply stores, what happened to that?

And there's like anywhere from 2-5 Yeezy releases a month now compared to when they originally started we'd get like one every 3-4 months if that.
Even if he didn't approve Yeezy day, imo adidas still delivered on the promise to get Yeezys to everyone.
They did drop the ball on not having yzy supply stores, but tbh when was the last time he dropped actual yzy season clothing?
Gap has semi-filled that void by giving us yzy gap in select stores, but this relationship is still in it's infancy too like how it was with adidas
@@matthewlopez1881 I think that's where the idea that Adidas may be cutting him off from the creative process comes in. People tend to forget Yeezy was meant to be its own brand like you said; the Adidas deal was set to end 2026. I'd be pissed if I was working with GAP and Adidas only for the latter to do behind my back and not give me the infrastructure they promised four years out from end of contract. Jing Ulrich is on the Board of both Adidas and JP Morgan. Yeezy Day/Yeezy Adidas, with all that has accomplished, still has much more exclusivity than was implied when Ye was going to Payless trying to sell the initial concept about a decade prior.

Tha anger is valid from that standpoint, but again if it's in the contract you signed that they can do that and you are also not putting forth effort as we've seen him put more effort in Yeezy GAP than adidas as of late, what are they supposed to do? As a business standpoint to keep paying people to not produce is not a good thing to do.
But in terms of products hitting the shelves, 380's, quantum's still sit longer and than the other silhouette's.
In comparison to a Payless spread, yes what adidas delivered is still 'exclusive'.
But you got to take into consideration, with what the partnership achieved, regardless of how sour it is at the moment, I don't think partnering up with Payless would've brought the same pull. Maybe they would have idk, but adidas is a direct competitor to Nike so moving from Nike to Adidas is a big deal but moving from Nike to Payless is a downgrade in terms of brand recognition.
Overall, with all the talk lately and rants he's posting. We are only getting what he's saying. We do not know what the contract explicitly states nor has adidas commented officially

Nice nice! When you compared the two foam pieces, it becomes a little clearer that Adifam has more in common w/ its original design, imo. Think are sufficiently enough differences in shape and other features between it and the Yeezy foamrunners.

Okay a foam shoe, would be fair game even if it’s close to Yeezys design (like with other shoe companies foam stuff) but you can’t say Yeezy didn’t make it a trend now, and with yeezys home being adidas it’s just plain wrong for them to make a 90% similar shoe while having Kanye and yeezys under them still. It’d be like if Nike just made a basketball shoe that looked just like jordan brand and just slightly renamed it. They definitely should’ve collaborated with Yeezys on the shoe, which he wants there to be more Yeezys anyway so it’d be cool to him.
I mean… that’s all of fashion for you. Shit, that’s all content too. Everyone is “inspired” by what they see and try to replicate it in their own design in a way it’ll be accepted by the masses like what they saw. Staying on trend is what makes money and at the end of the day that’s all the majority of designers, brands, and content creators care about.
Copped my this morning! In terms of YE a lot of people don’t know about adidas archive shoes and most people think it just comes from yeezy. Which i do think there is inspiration from ye for this shoe. But if you just do some research you can see adidas archive shoes and their vintage shoes. But people don’t know much about their older models so they just assume.

He said he asked adidas to increase his slides production and they said they can’t… but at the same time they were making the adilettes, which was probably created after the success of the slides just like the adifom is trying to capitalize on the foam shoe success

the adiplus cut out in the bottom is perfect for getting some rocks stuck in between the outter sole and the inner sole
just like with the adilette slides, I feel like theyre similar but not a knockoff.
It looks more like the Quake than the Foam Runner. The exact cut out pattern matches almost identical to the Quake. Maybe the fact the outside portion is foam makes people feel like it’s more Foam Runner but aesthetically it genuinely does look way more like the Quake.
I also think its based off of recency, like you see more Foam Runners than you do Quakes

I like em a lot, but I think it's a missed opportunity to not include 3 different knit inserts to change the look since there are so many holes. Or at least sell them separately and let me buy a red or black insert. Some 3M might be nice...
Not gonna lie Mutumbo had the same tech back with Adidas in the 90s with the removable sock bootie. Inspiration is def there but without forward progression no silhouettes would exist.

I like these. I like the foam runners as well but I kinda refuse to buy with the association. This lets me buy into the look without having the guillt of supporting someone I don't care for. I don't care about all the drama between adidas and kanye to be honest. I just buy what I like and I just like the adiFOM-q more from the ground up. The added perk of it not supporting Kanye just seals it for me.

I am still thinking about size of the shoe here... On adidas webpage sizing says that my size is 10.5 because i have 27 cm lenth of foot but my typical size is 9. Can sombody confirm if this shoe is true to size?
Usually wearing EUR size 43 here. Have my Adifom Q on size 44 comfortably. They look wide but no. The knit sock is actually quite narrow.
For me, it's running at least half size too small. It's really tight on the toe box area.
I work at finish line and I've sold like 6 of them today, and we pulled them out half way thru my shift, then I put one in my size to the side for myself.
I'm honestly a big fan of the adifom q, I tried it on and it's so dang comfortable.

It looks to me like Adidas took the concept of the foam runner and massively improved on it.
Now that the foam runners are soaring to insane prices (despite Ye wanting to charge $20) Adidas have done him dirty by bringing these out although.... they do look much nicer (in my opinion) and the price point is superb.

I won a pair of the Sand restocks and it came out to almost $100 after tax, immediately sold it to someone else on Grailed. adiFOMs not only have more features, but it looks like it has more utility with the stronger looking grip on the sole, the bootie cushioning and an insole inserted into the bootie. Foam runners are effectively being worn and advertised as shoes where as adiFOMs look more to be actual functional shoes as opposed to just glorified slides

Inspired by and looks like (or a copy of) are two very different topics. Most shoes are inspired by something else. Other than the fact that they are both made out of foam, the silhouettes aren't that similar.

I would never rock these, but man, just from a design standpoint, I'm really impressed. adidas Originals are definitely being "inspired" by yeezy, but honestly a lot of their "ripoff yeezys" look way better than the actual yeezy stuff. And you don't need to sell your kidneys to rock them.
