Need help. My feet is 25cm in length, I usually go for 25.5cm in shoes, I bought a Superstar last year in size 7.5uk which is 25.5 cm. And I find the size too big for me. What size should I get in Campus? I'm planning to buy one this year. Thank you.
I have many pairs of Sambas, Campus and Gazzeles over the years since the 80's but always had to buy a bigger Jordan or max Same with my Football boots or Soccer Cleats for you guys, Adidas world cups size 12 and my Nike Tiempos 13. What I would say about Sambas is they're not meant to be worn crisp, they need broken in then they fit like house slippers, they're football shoes after all and they need to be snug, wearing them as a fashion accessory is just an added bonus because they're a classic. If you do go up a size and they're finally broken in you'll end up with a curled up toe because the rest of the shoe has fit to your foot.
Purchased OG white with red stripe Superstars at the X-Large store on Vermont in LA 30+ years ago. Around '92 and they had a good stock of "old school" Adidas and Pumas. Those kicks got me through many raves and great conversations about how cool my shoes were. I ended up traded them in mint condition for a dang skateboard and some cash. :(. One of the biggest regrets even though that skateboard was transportation to my then new job at the market. Now in my 50's I'm a vintage Adidas/Puma collector and have some of the most insane/rare you can't get these any where shoes including an exact mint set of my red and whites. Not my most expensive shoe, but definitely the most prized. It's the oldschool BBoY in me. Good vlog!
I’ve been looking forward to this video. I’ve had Sambas (Classic in high school and OG since college in the late 90s). I did pick up one of the Gucci collabs. I loved a few colorways and couldn’t stop thinking of them. Months later, I splurged.
For what it's worth I have wide feet and I have the Samba Classics. They're definitely snug TTS, but I personally haven't had issues with them half a size up. Superstar is my favourite classic Adidas sneaker though. It was surprisingly comfortable for me (as someone who's mainly owned like dad shoes or Vans with no in between before recently) and it's not as snug. Thanks for the sizing tips on the Gazelles and Campus, I love the look a lot and have been considering getting them but not sure what I was getting myself into. Great video
Kinda weird I am rn rocking Adidad Busenitz pro and 9.5 is perfect so I have ordered Sambas in 9.5 as well but they are a bit looser for me so I have ordered 9
@@miroslavbuchar2559 it all sorta depends on how your own feet are, that's why I don't like the term TTS because there's no real TTS for most people we're all kinda all over the place so it's best to try on and see. Esp with Adidas who are not consistent lol

I really liked your video, I’m a big adidas original fan, I think I’ve more then 10 different models like; Samba, Dragon, Superstar, Stan Smith, Berlin, Malmo, Samoa, Gazelle, Campus, Busenitz, Wien, but and I’ve to say I’ve never had to size down, I’m a size 12 and all my shoes are 12 or 12.5 and they fits perfectly.
I love how the classic style are. Usually cost around 100 to 200 but I want a pair for X-mas. Great shoes. They last, rock as you wear them and it is the only sneaker that snug the feet but doesn't wound the pinky finger 😢😂 Pretty dope collection Josh. Bless 🎉🎉
I just bought one, but the colored green/cream with gum soles. I love the look! They are so cool. Just don’t expect the comfort of a running shoe as it does not flex well. Still fits well to me overall. I run between 39 1/3(7.5 W) and 40 (8 W). For reference, i got a size 40 for a Spezial or Samba but got a 39 1/3 for a Gazelle and Campus. The size 40 for me might accomodate thicker socks but i mostly wear “invisible” cotton socks with regular thickness so a 39 1/3 fits perfectly. Regardless, just buy one if you like the look coz you could always return them. Easy.
I’m not sure about the sizing recommendations. The Samba is narrow - Yes. It’s purpose built for a sport that requires a snug fit. But I never had to stray from my tts as the leather breaks in pretty well. I would never size down in the Gazelle unless I went for the US version. I own three pairs of an OG Gazelle adjacent model - 600.J.1.500-518 aka Mexicana Prototype and Mexicana. They fit perfectly. Also, the Gazelle was originally released in two versions (Handball and Trainer). The mid/outsole toolings are completely different. The upper builds are different too. The Handball Spezial is based on the Handball Gazelle. The Campus definitely fits a bit big. I find Shelltoes fit big. There isn’t much lockdown in the midfoot and the toebox is super roomy due to that rubber shell. I usually add a thicker insole to help it fit better. You picked some outstanding models. ✌🏽💙👟

The Handball Spezial is my favourite, fits great for wide feet but looks nice and sleek with great colours available... Also kind of a curveball option for summer: the Tischtennis (tabke tennis) model in white 👌

I find the sambas are rather wide in the toe box but the mid foot I agree is very narrow, however I have extremely wide feet (I can’t wear Nike shoes) and they fit pretty well.

Most distinctive feature IMHO: Gazelle and Campus are not only glued but stiched. I can tell it makes a difference if you are using these shoes for their initial purpose.

With the Gazelle? No mention of the football casuals that popularized the gazelle? There’s also a gazelle adv, which actually fit more snug due to a more robust insole. Adv’s are usually more durable with reinforcements added in areas that skateboarding would impact. There’s also a gazelle indoor which comes with a gum number sole.
idk who’s feet they made sambas for but the toebox was wayy too narrow & i went a half size up. & i don’t even have wide feet they’re more on the regular/narrow side. like i could wear them but it’d def be uncomfortable. sucks cuz they look like such a classic shoe

Adidas Gazelle OG is my personal favourite, the slimmer version of the Gazelle not the chunky mess Adidas are pushing recently.

The Adidas' Samba Decon are wide feet friendly! It's considerably more relaxed and has more give.
