Jimmy Thelin has played similar style since he was youth manager at Jönköpings Södra IF, used to see lot of swedish youth football as i live in sweden some of the year & my kids play & go to uni over there. Style hasnt changed, he just adjusts for players capabilities each step up he has taken. Really glad Aberdeen are coming strong we need "most" teams at highest level possible.
He was a great youth player, sadly making the wrong choice of going to Man Utd. Sure he also had bad injury but even allowing for that, if he had stayed in Scotland & started more games (as a youngster at 16+) he would have had more of a chance. He ended up just an average pro but it's sad, because I can't remember seeing many youngsters as good as he was.
