Lisa Fischer is spectacular....

@@tahousigata3096 yes, she is a vocal goddess.. Anointed.
Any performance with Ledisi and Lisa Fischer is dope. Two under represented amazing signer who have amazing vocal range.

Not only are the voices heavenly but also the orchestra accompanying is perfectly fitted to the song! Amazing!!

Lisa reeled us in...real smooth like...they got us mezmerized....then...Peaches! Gurl!!!
Well said👍🏾💕🎶🎼
Ledisi needs to be on Broadway!!!! Please 🙏🏾
She has been before! 💗
@@ministerkimberly Well again!!!!!
She was the understand of the washing machine and radio in the original Caroline, or change.
I saw her in the limited run of THE LIFE and her last number almost caused a RIOT! We screamed and applauded for nearly 5 minutes!!!!
@@KevinETaylor I would have to hear her sang He's no good
When she said, ' My skin is brown!' Chills....
Their voices and the orchestra is EXQUISITE!!
Only the real remember the rendition Ledisi performed with Jill Scott, Marsha Ambrosius, and Kelly Price at Black Girls Rock 2010.
Uhh IDK about “the real” because the song is hella old and their rendition is newer
The real would be those that know of Nina Simon singing it
Their rendition was superb, Nina Simon isn’t a sanger
Actually one of the very best ensemble renditions of this song “Four Women” was when Dianne Reeves, Simone (Nina’s daughter), Angélique Kidjo, and Lizz Wright performed this on a continuous tour celebrating Nina Simone back in 2009!
What do you mean by “the real”.
i do! but the first singer here is amazing and on that performance Ledisi was better.
There will NEVER be another "Peaches" for me other than Ledisi.
Why am I only seeing this now after searching for Lisa. I love me some Ledisi
begin and end with the strongest
I love when ppl sing with expressions. It gives me chills!
Only when it's the right expressions with the words.
Everyone was just DIVINE!!! my goodness 🥰
Lisa did it for me. It was like a whimsical story
The flute solo was awesome , orchestra Omg , Lisa , Vula, Sharlene & Ledisi , Phenomenal Performance 👏🏽❤️👏🏽❤️
OMG!!! Y’all murdered this song! Ledisi was born to play Peaches in the song and hopefully one day in a film. Bravo 👏🏽
Agreed. I have always wondered why the song has never been the basis for a feature film.
I am so happy to see Lisa Fischer still out here sangin!!!
I'm crying here in my bedroom tonight. These beautiful, extraordinary ladies, with singing voices only blessed by God have blessed us!
Why did I shed a tear at the end? This was lyrical magic!
You shed a tear because, deep down, ..... You get it
Because they sang the truth
The orchestra was killing it, you could tell they were into it, check out the violinist's facial expression after Lisa finished her solo, 1:29
Real tears when Ledisi sang that part. She's so powerful.
This should have so many more views
no lie...
I love how they are supporting each other on stage like that
...Lisa felt that John Barry crescendo and insanely strong Timpani. What an orchestra !
I love, love, love Lisa Fischer and Ledisi; two of my favorite vocalists!!! All of these ladies are BAD; love it!
Strong women alert.
Powerful.
Beautiful.
Sublime.
Lisa Fischer is a bad bad woman!!!
Utterly electrifying! Love this! Nina would be so proud.
I agree gives me chills
Yup! You ain't lying. 👍
!!..❤❤❤. EXPLOSIVELY SOULFUL, IMPACTFUL, "STORYTELLING BY THESE SISTERS!!...
This sonnnng is so spectacular. I am jamming this in the morning. I love our culture.
I love it too!
🙌🏽
This was amazing. I just found out about Lisa Fischer yesterday. The woman leaves me speechless. I love Ledisi. Put my mom onto Ledisi years ago (RIP mom). I don't know the other two ladies in the video, but they were great as well.
Lisa Fischer is phenomenal! Search and listen to "How Can I Ease the Pain"
I was there! Such a great memory
I don't understand why people compare singers to each other. They all sound good and are unique in their own individual talent.
I LOVE THIS VERSION!!!!
4 Sangin women. Ledisi and Lisa are otherworldly.
Two words Lisa Fischer!
Wow! All of these ladies are SANGING!! 💖💖💖💖
A fire that can't be extinguished!!! Please move to the nearest exit because the building is on FIRE!!!!🔥🔥🔥 Superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍
cant imagine what it must have been like to see this live
I don’t know if it’s on purpose, but each woman represents the progression of African American women.....from slavery to Peaches. It’s brilliant!
The whole song is from the slavery milieu. It speaks about savage beatings, the rapes, the forced prostitution at plantation sex parties of our ancestors (male and female) and the subsequent result of slavery.
The World, The original song titled Four Women is by Nina Simone.
Please research and learn about Nina Simone, who was such a prevalent Black American songwriter and singer who made an impacted on my Black American community.
Not progression, but the caricatures and stereotypes often forced onto Black women’s images: Mammy, Sapphire, Jezebel, and the Welfare Queen. representing how Black women are often thought of as asexual, angry, hypersexual, or abusers of welfare and ghetto.
@@FinestOfTheSouth I love Ms Simone's song... but I never understood the fourth Woman who declares 'My name is 'Peeches'... Peeches? Is there something more to that name in the US than is commonly known?
It is…….this song is mostly used during Black History Month for a program or a Women/Girl Power Program.
I just watched THE BET performance, and it played this next; my eyes began to well up on Lisa...and continued. I felt every single one of these women's stories. They all are personal & can be any black woman we know...ANYWHERE in the world. The descriptions seem to be about older women, however 2 of them are my life story. Bless the writer, producer & EVERY person who sings this song.
"Four Women" always brings me to tears and I got goosebumps all over my body at this gorgeous version.
I would love to see this song interpreted as a full movie..
There's so much depth & meaning. It's a complete story
They all did a superb job but Ledisi ruled this song among the four of them.
The fabulous singing aside……there is not a better orchestra on this PLANET than the mighty Metropol Orchestra! I dare you…find a rival..there is none. Every musician, and I mean EVERY….musician knows their role and hits the mark every time! I’ve been listening to them perform for years and every performance is a new and exciting experience! Take a bow guys! My hat is off to you! ❤️🤍🤎
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. 👏🏽 love 🥰 😘 😇
Como um brasileiro que acabou de te conhecer, Lisa, muito obrigado por existir!!!!
Look at all those Queens. yesssssss!!!!
These singers are great, but I find it hard to compare anyone's version to Nina Simone's version: angry, defiant, unyielding, filled with rage. And RAW. THE version.
I agree with you, mcbrion1951.
Ledisi, Ledisi, Ledisi…. A gift from God ‘himself'
Bravo!!!!! Bravo!!!! Bravo!!!! Mind-blowing performance.
Every time I watch this performance/video I shed a tear (or two). Just outstanding ladies!! I think of my mom, my grandmother and great grandmother who are no longer on the planet physically. What they must’ve gone through during their lifetime😢
I love this rendition also.
This performance by all four vocal artists & that fantastic orchestra is EVERYTHING. 🎶💯👏🏽
I wish this was recorded louder so I can blast it and fill up the house with it
All four black queens 👑👑👑👑🎶🎵💃🕺💜
Loved Lisa Fisher since her days with Luther. The other women, of course, are phenomenal as well.
Man the last lady cut a rug and then put it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Powerful✊🏽👊🏽🔥🔥🙌🏽👏🏽🙌🏽Dynamic WOMEN OF All Times👊🏽✊🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🔥🔥🙏🏽🙏🏽🥳😍🤗🥰😘🤩
Absolutely superb! The Laydeez were magnificent and the orchestra equally so. I’ve heard several versions of this song, but this one gives me chills. Love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Best rendition I’ve ever heard of this song
No...check out Ledisi singing this song at Black Girl Rock (four color girls)
No Abundant....with the exception of the original...there is only one other rendition that comes close to the original intent of taking you on a powerful rollercoaster ride the lyrics evoke and that is by Labelle in a live rendtion from 1972.
@@WW-tg5pu yess for Labelle
First time see this rendition, but the very 1st time was ruclips.net/video/yB_Evudh2p8/видео.html and I think it triumphs. However, the above was nice and of course Ledisi... (no words).
Trop de chichis. Ont-elles oublié le sens des paroles ?... Personne au-dessus de l'interprétation de Nina. Vraie. Brute. Tranchante.
Beautiful, Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your gift!!
Love Lisa Fisher.Sang back ground for Luther
So wonderful! I love Black women!!!
I get chills....EVVERYTIME!!!!!💖💖💖
