Your speed drop is between you and the router....that's why they show the different speeds....if you're close to the router and not outside the speeds will be more comparable between starlinks and Ocala speed test
David, thanks for the comment. If the slowness was between the phone and the router, that might be more concerning... I was only about 10ft away from the router when I was doing the test. My ethernet adaptor has shipped this week, but I am still waiting for my antenna mount... so stay tuned for more testing in a few weeks.
@@AGeeksGarage Gotcha. I thought maybe you were outside away from the router. I'm hoping I can just disable their router and use my Unifi set up for mine.
@@CaptDBama there is a setting on the new devices that put the router in a bypass mode, allowing you to use another router or wifi setup. But you need to have the ethernet adapter in order to enable the setting. I will talk about it when I get the new mounting bracket ... hopefully sometime soon.
I've had some very similar issues with using propane heaters in the garage as well. I supplement it with a 5000W heater, but you still get alot of water in the air from the propane that ends up everywhere you don't want it. Thanks for the info on the Starlink setup, been keeping an eye on it as we've been looking to buy a house over the past year!
Yeah the smell isn't all that terrific and I end up keeping a door open because I don't want to end up with CO poisoning either. I am hoping that I may have a better long term solution for the heating later this year...
@@AGeeksGarage I actually installed a carbon monoxide detector in the garage to be safe. I wouldn't smell it at all unless the tank was getting low so I wonder if you're heating isn't meant for indoors?
not to be a SpaceX defender but SpaceX does recommend a clear view of the sky, for it’s phased array antenna that uses hundreds of tiny antennas to bend the signals to and from the satellites as they pass by. From what I heard whether shouldn’t really affect the dishes performance unless it is a really bad storm. Hopefully this will help.
Yeah, thanks. I have a nice clear view of the northern sky, so I don't think that is the issue. One thing I did note was that when I looked at the web sites that track the satellites that cover my particular cell, it usually showed only one satellite available. Checking the maps tonight right now it shows NO coverage at all. Now, how accurate these maps are ... who knows, but that is the fun of new tech right :) Thanks for the comment.
Not really sure about the 12 valve engine as I have worked on one before. There are 6g72 manuals out on the internet, I would suggest doing a search for them to see if you can find one of the available manuals and review what it shows. Good luck to you.
So I have the dish mounted permanently and have been using the service for the past three days. With the dish mounted I have had very few total outages .... according to the app, no outages greater than 2 seconds for the past 12 hours. Now speed has varied greatly, but no outright outages.

I have a 93 dodge spirit. Hope to learn via your build. When replacing gaskets how diff is a 12v vs 24v 6g72
