    with regards to thin to heavy beads which is always the hardest thing to attain. *Well done.*

    Awesome tool, sir! You could replace the toggle switch for a potentiometer trigger for even more precise control, add limit switches for an auto retract function when empty, or use an encoder for that as well as the ability to display the remaining percentage of product!

    Beautiful construction. Perhaps use an axial threaded rod for more precise control and torque. An axial mounted gear has a nut on it so that the threaded rod can pass through it and extend in and out the same way that the rack does in this example. You inspire me yet again! 👏🏻

    Looks great and I can see a lot of time went into making that. Not sure anyone calking windows or gaps around there home or working on a ladder would want to carry a battery with them. A metal one cost around 3 bucks. Still looks cool and shows you can make most manual tools into power tools.

    • @1zanglang
      @1zanglang 2 года назад +2

      Did you know how expensive an cordless electric silicone tube gun is? This solution is at a fraction of that price, and variable speed is more accurate in this one. The only thing I think it needed more, was to secure with two screws the motor mount to the rear plywood ring. The way it is it rely only on glue.

    • @NotQuiteFirst
      @NotQuiteFirst 2 года назад

      The battery would easily go on their tool-belt and would be no trouble at all. The gun works amazingly and would be a huge benefit to somebody who does a lot of caulking
